What really irks me about dramas like this, is that the female lead's trash of an ex gets so upset and tries to force the female lead to stay with them. They already have a mistress and are cheating on the female lead. But when she wants to break the engagement, they want to act all innocent and say she's in the wrong. Putting all the blame on her, when the truth is it's their fault. She's a new person and doesn't want anything to do with them. She's actually doing them a favor by breaking off the engagement. If her trash of an ex wants to be with his mistress so bad, then be with the mistress. End the engagement and let the female lead go so she can move on with her life.
It's the usual case with men: I don't want her but I also don't want anyone else to have her.

This was fun mainly because the FL didn't really act like a woman from ancient times. Even though she was reborn, not from the future, she was FIRMLY against concubines, and had QUITE the temper when she thought her husband was going to acquire one. LOL. She also was equipped with a ton of agency; not always used to the greatest efficacy, but there all the same.
The relationship between the leads develops naturally and sweetly.
........needed a bedroom scene though. -__-
