@@dangerous_ngga The engine has to be worked on after at least 50k. That doesn't mean it breaks. All hyper cars are very expensive in upkeeping

No colour other than silver is acceptable. A Silver Arrow for a new age. My God, what a gorgeous machine!! I love where hypercars are going with there electrics...P1, 918, LaFerrari, Regera...and now, Project One! It's a brave new world.

The silver arrows is a colour for you nico as you projected your self throughout your Mercedes driving career and in my opinion you could have had at least on or two more years,I respect your decision to retire while you were number one.

I actually quite like the gold and black, but because it’s the ultimate Merc it must be silver (and dark gray if there is a two tone option).

Great fun and that is badass, although I'm not into electric. However it will obviously be quite a performer, and maybe the best facsimile to an F1 car for the street.

Niko. Great candid video. Thank you for the content! It's nice to see you with your wife and crew also, great that the videos are raw and not over produced. Surely, you have to have a Silver Arrow??? Given the heritage and your championship winning car, a similar colour scheme with some electric blue accents. I'm absolutely amazed that Mercedes haven't got you and/or the current F1 drivers involved in the development process! Surely you should be an integral part of the process! That would add great value to the product from a DNA point of view I would say...like Senna with the NSX and Michael Schumacher with the Ferrari F50. I also hope Mercedes add a little laurel emblem to your car with your championship year as a personal touch!

People seem to get confused about this so I'll try and put it simply. Top speed and acceleration do not = a car that is faster round a track than an F1 car. Most hypercars accelerate quicker and max out and far higher speeds than an F1 car. But an F1 is still by far the quickest man-made vehicle around most tracks worldwide. Simply because of their traction, lightweight and ability to corner very tightly at such immense speeds.
Uncouth Behaviour you're right about some aspect but wrong about others. Now AMG and Aston Martin are claiming that their cars will be faster than an f1 around some tracks how is that possible? Though F1s are incredibly light, they have limiters which prevent them from reaching max potential for safety reasons, furthermore many electronic assists and all wheel drive are not permitted as they aid the drivers far too much. Now these are extreme cases of hypercars because they are essentially near F1 power to weight however, have tons of non permitted electronic assists for F1 and also have the chassis, downforce bits, suspension, transmission an engine out of their F1 cars they have added weight due to regulations for road legal purposes, but do not have power or aid restrictions. Should these regulations be removed from F1, F1 cars would be absolutely faster than any other car period.
What a worthwhile existence .........

Silver arrow is the way to go
Cool: Electric drive mode for approx. 25 km!
Not so cool: 11.000 U/min. for a streetlegal car is much too loud. And you need the revs to get the horsepowers because there is almost no cubic capacity...
I highly recommend this car for in-city use in electric mode. There is no cooler way to get your buns ( at the bakery ) in the morning !

Nico, the only decision that I'd like to influence is if you ever bring your Project One to the U.S.A., that I get to sit in the passenger seat as you demonstrate 0-100 in it. You'd do that for a fellow 280 SL owner, wouldn't you? ;-)
