There's a reason why people loving that specific part of this song. Where she starts to get angry and ends up screaming. She went through something really painful and traumatizing. Some of us really can relate to it. When she screams, it feels like we are screaming too, through her. It is satisfying. I personally can feel the anger in her voice. She is tired of that person, she just wants them to leave her fucking alone. She's tired of being treated like that. Imagine being that tired that you start hating your own city. It's not easy. This song literally defines and the lyrics legit describe my past toxic/abusive relationship. It’s amazing how her songs are so relatable-makes me like her music more and respect her more as an artist!
The first part of this song (to me, in my opinion) is *a woman who is holding on* . Made me feel like she's still hoping that everything is going to work out although her partner do no good. She's aware that the relationship she have isn't healthy and probably toxic but she's still hanging there.

That "I wish it wasn't true" line is literally included to my daily midnight thoughts few months ago when I feel like my relationship is falling into pieces. Although I knew to myself where we are heading, I'm still being denial. I'm still hoping that he's going to pay attention to me and be a better version of himself like he always promised. I hold onto his words because I love him.
Then noticed that there's a series of questions on the song: Do you read my interviews? Or do you skip my avenue? When you said you were passing through, was I even on your way? That is a question from a woman who needed a strong assurance, assurance that she is still holding onto something special.
The other half of the song is clear to everyone. A woman who is fed up with all her partner's bullsh*t. That she finally sees her worth. A woman so much stronger than before. A woman who is no longer afraid to say the words "leave me alone".
Ladies and gents, a woman, before letting go and giving up from her relationship, she's going to hold on to every bit of hope. But if she's the only one who is holding on, it will eventually exhaust her. Then the next thing you know she's gone.

I got really emotional when I first listened to this song. I had a three year relationship end about two months ago. I felt like we brought out the best and worst about each other. Towards the end it was so toxic and needed to end, but that didn't stop my heart from breaking. This is one of those songs that articulated my exact feelings and brought comfort in a dark and depressing time.

Right, we recently went back to school and it was a long time since I talked to him but I tried to talk to him and he ignored me, he might've not heard me right? Wrong, I tried 3 more times but he ignored me in all of them, oh well... Can't say I didn't try, now we avoid each other and are strangers again... Strangers that once loved each other... It's hurts cuz I see the way his friends look at me and how they also avoid me all because of him. His own cousin told me he still talks about me, and we'll I guess he's the one that still talks about me, he talks down on me to, when once we loved and cared for each other, a person can really change so fast, please don't take people for granted while you still have them ans know sometimes it's better to keep things as a friendship. Okay this song is a masterpiece 👏👏 The lyrics, particularly the second verse, remind me of when I was 12 years old... It was May at the time, and I thought it would be my last day. Those moments continue to haunt me to this day. I didn't expect my own relative to point a gun at me while under the influence of alcohol simply because they blamed me for something I didn't know/do. I was a kid... the emotional impact is huge that I can't even think of him the same way I used to. I'm still wondering where I got the strength to continue facing him without him apologizing for his mistake. He should be thankful we decided not to put him behind bars because after all he is still our family. However, I already forgave him a long time ago... It wasn't for him; it was for me. Allowing myself to be happy and free of anger. I'm healing 💗

And to the people to whom I have been mean, all can do to you is pray . And to the people who were mean to me, now you mean nothing to me , I have moved on.
I love how the song has two stages to it.
It reminds me of how a lot of relationships I've seen end.
Something happens and then one side of the relationship grieves and is upset for a while, and then once the grieving is over, there's a leftover anger and hatred for having tried to love the other person.

It's relatable she's releasing and expressing how she feels in regards to the situation and what she's been through. It's a healthy way of releasing that emotion and should be encouraged. Nothing wrong with speaking your mind on how you feel or think. Can be more difficult in a abusive relationship where lying gaslighting is abuse. No apology is a red flag but to much apology means victim of gaslighting. No apology means the person didn't care about her well being saftey etc. I have similar experiences in relationships and I will never go back to anyone like that in my entire life.
