2ATG Gear Review: Eotech EFLX

- Is the Eotech EFLX a contender in the red dot world? This EFLX packs a punch for it's price. We all know Eotech makes amazing holographic sights, but will their first LED pistol optic be taken serious in the eyes of professional shooters and enthusiasts, or will it fall short?

Great video! Appreciate all the info!
Excellent video brother. Get back at it! I want to buy this optic to mount on my Henry 44 Magnum Carbine Big Loop
Damn you can rip on a pistol. Awesome video can’t wait to watch more on your page!
Thanks man, trying to get better as we all are 👊🏽
I have the Holosun 507CX and Trijicon RMR both and I like them just fine but all of my rifle optics are EoTech 553's because EoTech is known for that beautiful big clear glass. I have not seen an EoTech micro red dot but bet I would like it.
Good review!!!
Thank you!
considering this one or the delta point pro. nice review.
I have two DDP and compared with this EFLX, I would highly recommend the EFLX. The glare on the DDP is very frustrating. It presents halos around the dot and multiple dots vertically, based on where the sun is coming from.
The DPP is MASSIVE. I took mine off my M18 because the enormous size.
The finale shots and reloading were lightening fast!
Thanks man!
Good review
Thank you!
Nice video/ review
Glad you enjoyed it
Dang mine has been on back order for quite some time. Ready to get it.
Check your local retailers if you have any. I just picked up a 3MOA tonight.
@@colins5142 finally got an email saying mine was about to ship
Don’t waste your time it’s junk
Does it fit on regular 19 Gen 3?
Eotech EFLX has become my go-to dot. Large window. Clear glass. Tight dot. Great controls. Durable. Affordable. Large number of gun/plate options available w/ DPP footprint. US made. Only downside is that DPP plate/backup iron combos are normally calibrated for the very tall DPP - take up too much window on the EFLX.
I have the same issue with my staccato plate adapter but I’ve gotten used to it and don’t really notice them anymore.
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup I think there is a dedicated EFLX plate for Staccato. I've seen it on their website.
Hey Kawa! It’s Bott. Great video brotha.
Heeyyyyy what’s up Ryan! Dude we need to get in touch. Get my number from Romero or Chad. Same number 👊🏽
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup I definitely will. Talk to you soon brotha.
Have three Eflx rds, like the dot a lot.
Have you had any problems with them?
Any issues so far?
Very Lightly coat the rubber o ring with Vaseline/petroleum jelly and it won’t bunch up like that.
Great video by the way.
I'd be careful with vaseline or petroleum and rubber. Petrolium is corrosive to most rubbers and shouldn't be applied. But even if it isn't to this particular rubber ring, the vaseline still acts as a magnet for dirt and dust, leaving you with dried up gook and harder to remove your battery cap.
You might try a silicone spray to coat the o-ring and wipe off any excess. Good idea to use on flashlight o-rings too. It won't gunk up and create a mess or attract dirt. They make o-ring specific lubes but I'd bet it's simply silicone.
You mentioned dot brightness, was it to dim in full sunlight or "good enough" but not nuclear bright? Thanks for the video
I had the sun directly behind me and at that angle it was bright enough without starbursting. It certainly wasn’t dim. 👊🏽
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup
Excellent, thanks for the feedback. Got a new subscriber.
@@josiahb55 Thanks man, I appreciate it 🙏🏽
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup that was my question too, I heard some say it was dim. Good review, definitely looking at this as an option.
Mine is way too dim in full sunlight especially when shooting lighter colored or white targets. My RMR is much brighter and better suited for bright days. With that said, the larger window is a welcome change over the RMR.
First day outta the box and it's going back for repairs/replacement. Still optimistic and really like the "keep it simple" features and the optic overall.Hopefully it''ll be corrected soon and back on the gun.
That’s not good to hear. Someone else mentioned the controls came off due to the holster and wear & tear. Paying attention to that in my holster as well.
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup Yeah, not a super let down, I know it's new and will have its issues like everything else these days. I'm still keeping my chin uo and waiting to hear what Eotech has to say. They still haven't responded lol.
@@ROSS4712 Try their IG. They’re more responsive there.
@@josiahb55 illumination would slowly decrease over time/use. Like within a few minutes. Once you turned it on the dot, even on max brightness, would just start getting Lower and Lower until you couldn’t see it and pushing the up arrow wouldn’t increase it.
@@ROSS4712 What was your issue exactly? Thanks
The EFLX has a known problem of the lenses falling out of the enclosure due to lack of or low quality gluing. It's happened to mine and countless others. I'd avoid this sight until EOTech corrects the problem.
I’ve also heard this from others. I’m hoping mine came from an updated batch but no problems so far.
Typical Eotech garbage 😂
Did you use the screws in came with?
Yes with some locktite.
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup okay I mounted this on my PDP last night and haven’t used it yet but I felt like the screws seemed a tad short.
@@Three60Crusader some optics have different screw lengths depending on the slide make and optic cut. But the ones they come with usually work.
Miss you bro
My man. Hope you're well brother!
1 magnification?
Use an M&P and you won't have to develop muscle memory. It will just point naturally every time.
M&P copied the Glock, and your statement isn't true for a lot of people. Grip angle is a preference and any claim that one is better than the other is subjective. I prefer sigs for example and find Glocks to point low.
That optic is a big disappointment
What’s disappointing about it?
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup battery life, customer service, it’s cheap, and air till the rubber rips off the button, looses zero “sometimes” took them decades to come out with one they were last to do it and it’s mediocre at best. Speaking from experience
@@lt4753 I agree I got mine and was excited about it then got let down lol every 10 shots the dot disappeared from the window then would have to re zero so after 150 shots of that I returned it .
Was really thinking about this until I watched the Sage Dynamics video. I mean, I can get two Burris for one of these and if one fails I'm still ahead.
Is there a way to mount this to a picatinny rail? For a ruger mark 4 iv 22 ?
Yes, just find a picatinny mount for a Delta Point Pro. The foot print is the same. Check out American Defense Manufacturing
@@2AlphaTrainingGroup thanks !
