And plus, Ed normally says how he likes people who take good quality photos - Yazeed went to all the effort of stop-go motion for the animation of the monitors, as well as fantastically and tastefully _filming_ his setup. This setup is hands down the best I have seen on setup wars. If you read this, Yazeed, know that I, and I know many others, award your setup all the accolades in the world. 10/10, honestly perfect setup. (Maybe Ed's just a little jealous of such perfection?) ;D
it's not really about how it looks. everyone with the right amount of money can do such setups. Ed also considers the practicality, usability, and the personality of the setups, which is the primary reason why we people have setups; to be able to use them efficiently and effectively.
Ricardo Miguel Ramos I feel that at this point, he is being nothing but pedantic. He has given the seal of approval to setups that have had less effort and thought put into them than this one. This setup, in my opinion, is better than Ed's $9000 'Ultimate Setup' he did, and we all know that Ed would have awarded himself the seal of approval if he could.

The seal of approval isn't something you need to work towards its something that signifies Ed and Tech source feel you have one of the best quality setups. If you like what you have then don't bother upgrading just so some guy you don't even really know can say "good job" by giving you a couple gifts. Make your setup the way you like it and if you get the award then cool, if not oh well. All these setups are amazing, nice job guys I really can't wait to start working on mine =)

And even for a bluetooth speakers are the not good. 50 percent of the battery goes into the lights instead of the music. He bought just expensive things and it puts it in his setup and thats it. The cable management is good tho.

Ed, your reasons for not awarding the seal is on point. As someone who has gone through countless iterations of a setup I can completely understand your push in promoting practicality over pure looks. Whilst the set up looks amazing, it's functionality and thought behind synergising the peripherals for a consistent level of quality across all devices is what is missing. It is there but not to the standard that is required for the setup to be both amazing in looks and practicality. I was instantly taken back by the speakers also, whilst they look insanely boss knowing their quality output would instantly detour me from them no matter how good they look.
Well put, sir. I agree that practically most definitely took a backseat to aesthetics in this iteration. Still, it's the most badass setup I've laid eyes on in some time. All he needs to do is replace the speakers and his will be perfect.

Really? I was a fan, but not a fan anymore after the giveaway incident by Ed, but I still totally get his reasoning for not giving the seal of approval and I understand. My guess is that all guys complaining do not have their own set up to be compared or judged. For a set-up to be good, the first and foremost to be judged is the practicality. After then comes the aesthetics, personality, cable-management and such. What's the point of a set-up that is gorgeous to look at, but you have to 1) travel every time you want a headset, 2) travel and pick up your microphone and put it in front of your keyboard every time you do voice overs 3) Once you use your microphone, one of your monitors is blocked by it 4) and shitty audios for media consumption and gaming? 5) Also, how many occasions can you think of using all that 4 monitors in single task? Unused monitors creates extra hassle - all people who has multi-monitor set-ups will agree. It takes up space and work (including the software tweaks to manage your monitors). To me, this guy "sold his house for a great car" as a comparison. The sacrifices he made was impractical and he totally don't meet up professionals' standard. If this Setup Wars hosted by Ed was judged based upon aesthetics and personality, sure, I would consider this set-up, but not even close to a perfect set-up in my opinion. Call me a hater if you want, but I think Ed was right.
To me most of these setups are show rooms, not real work places. There is nothing but clean, like new. If I look at peoples' work desktops there is stuff and there is more than that one PC. No Laptop? No power outlets? No charging Wires? So many have these great microphones. Where do they store their recordings? On the PC? No NAS? No Backup NAS? If they make a living out of that, do they rely solely on YT having their work forever? It looks great, no question, but there is no practicality. and when I see those guys drilling holes in their desks to hide cables? That's insane. These desks cost money and you drill a hole through. Let the cables go to the back. There is nothing on that desk anyway. Or do these people all suffer from some kind of OCD? How do you push your KB when you clean that desk? How do you push it aside in a rush when your girlfriend succeeds in distracting your from the game?... oh wait...never mind.

What if he doesn't listen to things at 'high levels' and thinks the audio from the speakers is fine? And for the mic, well, he can just swivel around on his chair, grab it and plug it in when he wants to use it. I don´t think yazeed´s setup is perfect for totally subjective reasons. I don´t like the color scheme, these colors are irritating for my eye and I couldn´t look at that setup very long.

And even for a bluetooth speakers are the not good. 50 percent of the battery goes into the lights instead of the music. He bought just expensive things and it puts it in his setup and thats it. Ed, your reasons for not awarding the seal is on point. As someone who has gone through countless iterations of a setup I can completely understand your push in promoting practicality over pure looks. Whilst the set up looks amazing, it's functionality and thought behind synergising the peripherals for a consistent level of quality across all devices is what is missing. It is there but not to the standard that is required for the setup to be both amazing in looks and practicality.
I was instantly taken back by the speakers also, whilst they look insanely boss knowing their quality output would instantly detour me from them no matter how good they look.

Really? I was a fan, but not a fan anymore after the giveaway incident by Ed, but I still totally get his reasoning for not giving the seal of approval and I understand.
My guess is that all guys complaining do not have their own set up to be compared or judged.
For a set-up to be good, the first and foremost to be judged is the practicality. After then comes the aesthetics, personality, cable-management and such. What's the point of a set-up that is gorgeous to look at, but you have to 1) travel every time you want a headset, 2) travel and pick up your microphone and put it in front of your keyboard every time you do voice overs 3) Once you use your microphone, one of your monitors is blocked by it 4) and shitty audios for media consumption and gaming? 5) Also, how many occasions can you think of using all that 4 monitors in single task? Unused monitors creates extra hassle - all people who has multi-monitor set-ups will agree. It takes up space and work (including the software tweaks to manage your monitors).
To me, this guy "sold his house for a great car" as a comparison. The sacrifices he made was impractical and he totally don't meet up professionals' standard.
If this Setup Wars hosted by Ed was judged based upon aesthetics and personality, sure, I would consider this set-up, but not even close to a perfect set-up in my opinion. Call me a hater if you want, but I think Ed was right.

To me most of these setups are show rooms, not real work places. There is nothing but clean, like new. If I look at peoples' work desktops there is stuff and there is more than that one PC. No Laptop? No power outlets? No charging Wires? So many have these great microphones. Where do they store their recordings? On the PC? No NAS? No Backup NAS? If they make a living out of that, do they rely solely on YT having their work forever?
It looks great, no question, but there is no practicality. and when I see those guys drilling holes in their desks to hide cables? That's insane. These desks cost money and you drill a hole through. Let the cables go to the back. There is nothing on that desk anyway. Or do these people all suffer from some kind of OCD?
How do you push your KB when you clean that desk? How do you push it aside in a rush when your girlfriend succeeds in distracting your from the game?... oh wait...never mind.

I don't like it, but I understand. I don't have a hole in my Set up, but yo people buy a freaking headphone stands for 50$, ONLY for their damn HEADSET why not a hole in their desk for their entire setup which cost like at least $1000. haha.
