Hey all! Thank you so much for all the support! I didn't expect this video to do as well as it did, like, at all! I just got bored and wanted to learn to edit videos and this was something I've been wanting to make for a while now. I've been kinda busy lately so I haven't been able to work on anything, but I've got some ideas for more AMVs/GMVs I could do. I don't plan on sticking to just Smash or video games for content, I'm more of a cartoon guy, but I'll definitely still make some stuff for Video Games! Right now, I'm thinking about making a Pokémon AMV, what do you guys think? Anyways, thank you all again so much for the support, and another thanks to Sakurai and the Smash Dev Team for The Greatest Show! Edit: I know this isn't the last Smash game, I just put "Final Smash" in the title to differentiate it from other Greatest Show Smash AMVs (and I thought it sounded cool...)

Like i watch this many times. There are many smash comps but this is my favorite. This also maybe the last sakurai smash. Smash ultimate may never happen again. So to see this touches the hearts of so many especially with editing an how much smash has been apart of our lives. I really hope sakurai sees an appreciates this if he ever sees it.

They may be assist trophies, mii fighters, even spirits. But they all come together to help make this game complete.
I don't know how intentional it is, but Dharkon's eye widening in surprise and dread at the sight of the Mickey Mouse symbol appearing in Smash is kind of hilarious lol. "The mouse? Here?! Impossible!!"

I'm obsessed with the detail of putting B&K, Ridley, and K. Rool's reveals one right after the other at 4:21 . During the Ballot days, they were this "Impossible Trinity" that _huge_ groups of fans were championing for despite being considered impossibly unlikely. That little nod to fan perseverance tugged at my nostalgic heartstrings. Reminds me just how much we've gotten since then and how much we've since taken for granted.

Super Smash Bros is literally the game where dreams are made! Getting into Smash is considered the highest honor for a game character, considering it's one of the best forms of advertising. "Impossible comes true".
Hearing this MV again, I’m half tempted to put together a fan fiction where the Smash cast run a Barnum style circus. I’m just now imagining our boy Sakurai in a ringmaster outfit too.
Sakurai deserves all the relaxation he wants and needs right now after working on such a massive, highly anticipated game from a beloved franchise, under the pressure of executives and some toxic fans. Not to mention the pandemic either. I’m glad he knows that at the end of the day we are all for real and for truth appreciative for what he has done. Rest up, Sakurai. You’ve earned it.
Something about the line "where the runaways are running the night" hits so much harder to me about how in gaming's youth it was seen as a dumb weirdo pastime for nerds, but now its reached its audience and gained the respect it deserves and is able to make so many people so passionate for it. Thinking about this tribute not just as a tribute for smash, but for gaming itself makes me cry!
Don't get me wrong, this entire thing was fantastically put together, but everything from 3:54 on gave me fucking chills, man. Ending all of these bombastic scenes with Sakurai doing his "Please, take a look" gesture made me downright emotional. Great work.

This is a fitting send off to a series that, I'm sure it's safe to say, has played a large part in all of our lives. I've been playing this series since the n64 version was the only version so knowing this is the end fills me with a heavy yet prideful heart. #thankyousakurai Also this video is super well done! Seriously can't believe this is really your first time.

As a fellow editor, I am compelled to say... well done. This is EXTREMELY well made. The artistry behind the chosen clips which correspond to various aspects of the song, whether it's the tempo or the lyric subject matter, this is cut exceptionally.
May I just say that I love how you put the Mii costumes with the line "It's everything you ever need"? Mostly because you're the only "Smash Ultimate celebration" video I've seen that includes them. I've always loved what the Mii costumes represented, and associating them with something similar to the phrase "Sometimes you don't get what you _want,_ but rather what you didn't even know you _need"_ is so fitting considering how the fanbase has has always treated them like a fate worse than death. You used the same line with Terry, a character everybody shit on when he was first revealed, but slowly changed their tune once Sakurai game them a history lesson. His passion for Neo Geo fighting games is basically the origin of Smash. It's not often a Smash fighter is introduced to us in a way that genuinely teaches us something about the game itself, or broadens our horizons as enormously as Terry did. He was exactly what the Smash community needed to see and hear at the time. Man, I know it's been months, but I still come back to this whenever I'm having a bad day. It immediately gets me pumped.

Damn this was good. The sun can't stop us now always being to an antagonist and the swap over to Sora's trailer with "The walls can't stop us now" was amazing. Each impossible feeling like a step up of impossible (short of Steve) with Sonic, and then Cloud, and then finally my boy, and the build up at the end is amazing. It was also fun to see the different eras of Smash all here together. Great AMV!

You succesfully encapsulated everything that makes smash great into one video. Seeing all of these famous and iconic characters both old, new and abandoned, sharing the same screen canonically is the craziest experience. Its a true testament to video gaming as a whole.

This made me cry. This truly is the greatest show. There's just something about this being complete all the way down to the snippet of each character that just made this feel... real. I want to feel that every time I go back to watch this video because this truly captures everything about what smash brothers represents. Plus NGL at 4:34 I started to sing along so loud that my neighbors heard me.
I'm just gonna say it. This video made me cry. I've always loved Smash Bros. ever since I first played Brawl. I have lots of good memories from playing that game with friends. And then later playing Smash 4 and Ultimate gave me good memories. This video reminded me of playing all those games. I was in such a different stage of my life when I played each one of these. It reminded me of how far I've come but through it all Smash remained. Anyway, thanks for the video! You did a great job editing!

As a fellow editor, I am compelled to say... well done. This is EXTREMELY well made. The artistry behind the chosen clips which correspond to various aspects of the song, whether it's the tempo or the lyric subject matter, this is cut exceptionally.
May I just say that I love how you put the Mii costumes with the line "It's everything you ever need"? Mostly because you're the only "Smash Ultimate celebration" video I've seen that includes them. I've always loved what the Mii costumes represented, and associating them with something similar to the phrase "Sometimes you don't get what you _want,_ but rather what you didn't even know you _need"_ is so fitting considering how the fanbase has has always treated them like a fate worse than death.
You used the same line with Terry, a character everybody shit on when he was first revealed, but slowly changed their tune once Sakurai game them a history lesson. His passion for Neo Geo fighting games is basically the origin of Smash. It's not often a Smash fighter is introduced to us in a way that genuinely teaches us something about the game itself, or broadens our horizons as enormously as Terry did. He was exactly what the Smash community needed to see and hear at the time.
Man, I know it's been months, but I still come back to this whenever I'm having a bad day. It immediately gets me pumped.

Damn this was good. The sun can't stop us now always being to an antagonist and the swap over to Sora's trailer with "The walls can't stop us now" was amazing. Each impossible feeling like a step up of impossible (short of Steve) with Sonic, and then Cloud, and then finally my boy, and the build up at the end is amazing. It was also fun to see the different eras of Smash all here together.

I'm just gonna say it. This video made me cry. I've always loved Smash Bros. ever since I first played Brawl. I have lots of good memories from playing that game with friends. And then later playing Smash 4 and Ultimate gave me good memories. This video reminded me of playing all those games. I was in such a different stage of my life when I played each one of these.
