College Stories by Comics | Chaar Yaar - Ep2
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- In this episode, Abijit Ganguly, Gursimran khamba and Prashasti Singh join Amit Tandon to share their College experiences and stories. They had some common threads like Delhi University, IIT Delhi and also very different career goals that all finally ended with Comedy.
Prashasti talks about how giving more freedom to Girls in college will prepare them better for life. The constant fear inculcated among students in the garb of discipline stops them from expressing themselves and a small change in approach can make a big difference
Presenting to you Chaar Yaar! Is it a podcast? Maybe not. Is it scripted? Probably not. Are we sharing secrets of life? Definitely not! I just wanted to find a reason to hang out with some of my comedian friends I have made over the years and Chaar Yaar is a product of just that.
Intro: 1:31 - 6:05
Revisiting College Days: 6:06 - 23:34
Is it strange to see your college friends mature and changing?: 23:35 - 27:56
What's the closest you've come to being rusticated in college? 27:57 - 35:20
What was your dream career when you entered college? 35:26 - 44:10
What all will you like to change in your college? 44:18 - 57:16
Outro, Closing and Credits: 57:17 - 59:11

The difference between having educated people in the podcast versus how typical Bollywood podcasts are. It’s so warming to see Prashashthi speak about her professors and how they had a major role in her, making her career choices on the contrary, there was the scene in two states where the protagonist was making fun of the salaries of the professors at IIMA
I as an IIT PhD relate to Prashasti so much when she told that as a ladki aapko raat me sochna nhi padh raha.... Seriously itni freedom milti ha na campus me. Bahar jake miss karungi
Man i love prashasti. Such a clear understanding and outlook of life. Great rolemodel to young girls. ❤
@@Keeping_it_pg Absolutely
I love her ❤ u leave
I like her too
💯
would be even better if she could be more comprehensible.
Abhijit saying 'communist banna' when Khamba being asked what he aspired to become with a degree in culture studies is gold 😂
Good to see khamba making some appearances yet again..
In the same panel with another woman
Buzz off@@usjohndj5115
with another woman and discussed women safety. Irony kuch jyada nhi ho gai.
@@pratikshachakravarty8489 What's the irony? I can say today Pratiksha Chakravarty abused me. Doesn't mean it has to be real.
khamba say hello
Man, I love Prashasti soooo much! Her take is always so deep and insightful. Love you Prashasti! Thoroughly enjoyed your show in Amsterdam!
My heart fills up whenever I see khamba make any appearance ❤
His impact in the Indian comedy is scene is not talked about enough🗿
uspe ek thesis likh do tum bhai
What prasashthi is sharing about college is true for most of the engineering colleges 😮
Such a nice and chill conversation between 4 friends.
I love Prashasti and her perspective about life. Its so refreshing. I would love her to see more.
4 yaar has become one of the most favourite... Please continue this ❤
Amit sir, that peon wala example was so so good! Came here for a happy podcast, left with a lot of practical learnings. Thank you 🙏
@@theanxiouskid007 Thank you!

Love love love Prashasti!! All power to you and your stories. It's just so nice to resonate with a panelist so deeply. Maza aagaya.
Prashasti being there brought a very important female perspective on this topic 😁
Khamba is out of hibernation…. This session was so relatable 😊
Prashasti is so intelligent. So relatable
Last opinion from Prashasthi was bang on, i feel it was much needed ❤
Respect for agreeing with her since most people on internet would still be against it
21:12 That Ankur Warikoo reference 😂 The man who shows up as ads even if you block his profile 😅
Prashasti....you are amazing. I love you so much. thanks for putting across the impact on female mindset due to how college treats girls. :)
love prashasti. really like how she not only is an ace comedienne, but also brings some very relevant social problems to the forefront, calling them out for what they are. and that too with well thought out reasoning. the comedy circuit in india, like 99% of other industries is also largely male. in that, being the female voice - grateful for her!
Khamba is so natural and has always been a great guy for conversations.
21:10 IIFT Delhi
Btw, I love this show... It's an amazing concept. Waiting for more new and interesting episodes.
Fun Facts: Most of the comedians are from Tire 1 colleges either IITs or IIMs or some other good institution. I guess that strong base gives them the ability to try something new because I guess when these guys started comedy, this concept was very new in the market and moreover UA-cam and all was not even penetrated in the market, unlike today. Inspiring.
or is it IMI?
23:00 Pony tail wala ruled out.. 🧐
Not most tho
I won't agree fully...
You can see the classy or urban humour from these comedians but we also have many comedians from small colleges and private engineering colleges who have their own flavour of humor of small towns and relatable comedy which is apt to masses of India.
No, it means you have to be smart to be a comedian. Not everyone who goes to the top tier colleges is necessarily smart, but you can make that general correlation.
I think coming from those colleges also gives you a sense of security which enables you to take risks with your career. Ki degree toh hai hi, agar comedy career nahi chala toh job toh mil jaegi.
This episode was soooo good.. college days was a great topic to pick with this bunch... And its always great to see Khamba anywhere ❤🤗
Ye wale episode me Biswa hona chahiye tha. He looked all lost in the last episode. But I'm sure he would have phenomenal college stories to share.
Recorded another episode with Biswa about Engineering colleges
@@TandonAmit That's the first time I've ever got a reply from any content creator. 😍😍
Plus, kudos for making another episode with Biswa. He's a brilliant comic with the most insightful and observational comedy. It was shame to see that talent go to waste in the last episode.
Prashasthi should create a show on gender bias and how minds get conditioned!
Had forgotten how funny Khamba is 👌
It's great to see Khamba back and collaborating on many channel after a long time!
More to come!
*more to cum you mean?
Actually not.
Here for prashasti ❤ lovely personality
prashasti is actually funny and intellectual.
49:50 gold by prashasti❤❤❤❤
Prashashthi, I love you! Good people, good conversations! No nonsense.
MISSED KHAMBA SO BLUDY MUCH! 🥹🥹🥹🤩🤩🤩💃🏽💃🏽
Chaudhary sir is legend, tea thing was continued till our time also. Good to see Khamba
I know him too....he is great teacher
My teachers at DU were so cool and friendly, and never infantilised us. Let us be responsible for our own selves while letting us know they have our back❤
prashasthi on this is episode is just mindblowing...🙏
Fan of khamba and Tanmay . Good to see he is coming back to UA-cam.
Kya be hakle
Vipul Goyal should have been in this episode as well.
Ye unka "zone" hai!
"IIT jaake ye dekha, woh dekha, aur ek dum pura scandalize hua tha!!"
He'd be full of such stories 😂
I am gonna use this peon wala example one day at some point of my life for sure.😂
Although it opened a new perspective towards approaching my cases/clients (Being a CA Final aspirant).
That example is going to remain with me for long.
This podcast is a breath of fresh air! Loved it 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved Prashasti, she was great as usual..
So heartwarming. Got to see a snippet of the worldview that has perhaps made the comedians and writer everyone is today. Loved every minute. Thankyou for making this. ❤
Love tuning in to chaar yaar! It's amazing to know the person behind the stand-up comedian that we see in videos or on stage. Please keep these videos coming.
Itne jaida educated logo ko sunne me alag hi mazza aata hai aur saath hi afsoos hota hai ki hune kyu nhi aise bade institutes me padhai ki.
17:00 awesome
I am in my 20s and somehow i enjoy these conversations... its like you wanna sit with them.
Thank you for making this amd can't wait for other episodes
Love the episode, the whole mature friends vibe and the concept of the show! Keep it coming Amit sir 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Really like this concept of 4 Yaar amd these insightful conversations. Keep these episodes coming 😊 and that peon wala example will stay with me forever.
I guess if Amitji makes vlog when he visits Bhatinda again.. that'll create some records for sure😅..waiting for next episode..chill conversations betn comedians is indeed relaxing for viewers❤❤❤
Amazing life stories by Abhijeet, Khamba, Prashasti and Amit 😁
Its seriously impressive that all you guys are from authority education institutes. Comedians are the modt intelligent breed; they see the reality and find the humour. Love this episode. ❤

The good old days 😢😢😢

Am loving this new comedian show universe, pretty good roast, latent and now chaar Yaar. Amazing content from some of the best comics ❤
Brought back memories of my graduation and post-graduation time in India. Thank you, guys!
Khamba ka comeback hogya🎉🎉
Please make a longer episode.this is very fun to watch😂
Hats off to Amit sir for inviting like minded people to the podcast. This is what podcast actually means.
professor amit tondon😂, sir it was nice to know your academic stories❤

I am loving this series...this one was actually how we as friends sit and talk...and so happy to see such well educated comics😊 wish I could be part of these talks live😅
Felt like having a warm bowl of soup on a chilly evening! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Reminds me of my college days.
only here for khamba 🙌
This is how a podcast should be ❤ loved it !!

Nice stories but listening to her made me realise that JNU was heaven till few years back and a great place to unlearn all the regressive and divisive aspects of the society and then to relearn how to lead a life for the betterment of the country and its people. Even Shahrukh khan said that in Delhi JNU was the best place to hangout with such a lush green campus next to IIT Delhi and other major institutions and hanging out places nearby for students. Jai Hind, Bharat Mata ki Jai.
Khamba ❤
This episode prove what good education does. There were 4 with good education background having some meaningful conversation unlike one of the other episode where i think Amit made a wrong decision of calling that comedian.
Fun discussion with two very important moments, peon incident learning and a women's perspective on the college hostel timing/security bullshit.
Please do make more episodes I absolutely love this series ❤
This episode felt like a warm hug! ❤
Just relived some of my college days, thank you guys for putting this together. Love and respect bro 🙏 Most importantly I shared this with a few of my college mates:)
Bathinda has a civilian airport now and a direct flight from Delhi. The main city's infrastructure has changed but there is nothing fun and happening. Normal life but a lot of rich old folks reside their.
what a fantastic and life-afirming conceot Amit Sir . . . Lots of Love from Peshawar Pakistan
😄😄😄 too good 👌
also, ye video dekh ke ek chiz mujhe clear ho gai hai ki main Prashasti Singh ka male version hoon minus the academic laurels. "farce" is my most fav word in the dictionary. 😂
4 Delhiwalas discussing College education in Mumbai. How would they have any idea about colleges in Mumbai ?
@PARIMAL1968 They talked about campus not education and if you think they criticized so i hope you know their educational background, they were good colleges of India as well as they have good experience in different fields so respect this thing, they are not instagram chapari😅
Little weird, that only when you have money in your bank account, you despise or don't understand people who talk about money. I have friends from college, we talk about every sphere in life including finances as well. It's fun and we learn a lot from each other.
@@chandrodaysingh6893 I don't despise them. I don't connect with that part of discussion
@@TandonAmit rightly so, I understand. Probably ‘despise’ was not the correct word.
I think since ours is a developing country with majority of millennials living whole of their life in underprivileged surroundings, it becomes imperative to discuss money and be little paranoid to secure our children and family future. By the way, I have been to your college during my engineering days 😀
Love and respect from Pakistan 🇵🇰. Hilarious. But I will tell you that we played out like Indians to get laid but we were asked one question, “you really have money in the pocket….An. An. “ 😀 really enjoyed the show
The energy of live shows is what keeps the theatre actors going i guess... This is not fake like typical film people
Maharaja Agrasen College from East Delhi, 😅 wow never knew our college alumni
Enlightening conversation.
Loved this sir ❤ i hope there is an episode with samay raina in this series
Please do more these sir. Love to hear you guys speak❤
Sir maza aa gaya!! Great show. Looking forward to many more of them..
Good to know you all. very frank conversation, I felt that I am with you guys. Best of luck for future

oh god. 29:30 she mentioned Convergys. i have worked there in 2007-08. kitne time baad naam suna.. what a time. what a life..

7:10 अपने कॉलेज को बुराई नहीं करनी चाहिए।कितने ही लोग हैं दुनिया में जो कॉलेज जा भी नहीं पाते।आप obliged हो जो कॉलेज जा पाए।😊
This is a brilliant series.
Keep it coming!
Should create short videos out of these…. Prashasti’s part could really go viral ..
Amazing episode … loved the concept and the chats
The most relatable line 36:26
Amazing conversations sir. Keep them coming!
Great show! 🎉really enjoyed listening to everyone. Great & funny anecdotes, insightful too
Loved Prashasthi's opinions on Gender bios in colleges
I will use this peon vala example with my team, its so much powerful and problem solution itself✌️
Harish Sir is seriously so good..
Excellent discussion.blessings you all
Mere friend circle mein jo girls the, studious girls they were good at study. They were not good at how to talk to boys, they were not good at how to talk to a shop person, when they selling things costly seeing that we are students from not this place. Means, my friends knew how to Crack entrance exams but, they never knew how to make plan B. I remember, my friend, once told her mother something about some boy of his class. Her mother after 2-3 sentence said, beta, padhai mein man nhi lag raha hain kya? Ghar wapas aana hain kya? Hum bhi nhi padhe the zyada..tum bhi mat padho. Shaddi kar dete hain tumhari bhi. And, after that, I don't think she would have ever dare to discuss anything which parents. Now, she had got married. She is happy, I am happy for her too. I don't think, we should blame our kids for getting detached with us after some levels in life. 😊 we threatened them like that, even though they are well wishers.
मलाई अमित टन्डन मन पर्छ - यो शो को फर्म्याट मन पर्यो
I like the second one more... Though main inko zyada nahi dekhi hu.
But the conversation is good
Mumbai colleges don't have a political culture because student elections were banned in Maharashtra in 1994 because one kidnapping and murder had taken place in one such election.
After that student elections were tried to be reintroduced in 2016 but hasn't seen much success.
Yeha ke student politics me sirf fests ke sponsorship ka paisa khaya jata hai.
Convergys ki coffee was vibe ❤
Good to see Khamba again-cheers
Don't know why..but whenever prashasti speaks suddenly the playback speed doubles itself 😅😅😅😅😅
