Heh, thanks. Turns out it was overkill! Most of the heat is lost to the air between the chimney and the piece of duct holding the gravel back. The rocks barely got any heat and the whole thing could have been done smaller and neater. But I learned a lot! That wall is temporary and I'm planning to take it out and start the fireplace soon. Take care!
Loved the dog wrapped up in something pink, looked like a bathrobe😊 then he walks out looks around and walks back in. Funny . Wonder what all the wives of men who make these videos think, go go go to your hut ,or where do you think you're going?
Yeah, I ended up hanging the tarp back up around the outside. I don't know how much work I want to put into this wall and woodstove, though. I plan to replace it, before next winter. Thanks for watching!
@@patriciafrederick1740 I hadn't planned on putting in a wood stove and it's not staying, so I just needed a temporary setup. I wanted to hold the chimney up and get the smoke outside without spending any cash or burning the place down! I'm going to take it down before next winter and build a proper fireplace and chimney out of rocks!
You're probably right, but I'm not building to code...! This is private land so there shouldn't be any people with screwdrivers giving it the eye! Thanks for watching!
Love all aspects of your stove.. I too am cautious of fire and gases. Never in 1000 years would if thought of gravel between mesh screens!!! Bravo!

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You do realise you put the door on back to front. Plus hinges should be inside otherwise easy to break into if on outside.😊
