I have seen hundreds of tool making videos and I have to say yours' is in the top five of the most incredible I have seen! The thing that makes it the most impressive, is the fact that there is no welding involved. This makes this project "doable" by any competent wood or metal worker. I am going to your website right after I finish this comment and get the plans for how to build your vise. I am completely in awe at what you have accomplished. Thank you. Preston
The thing that I love most about this video is that you start off by showing what the finished product looks like. I hate it when I get three-quarters of the way through a DIY only to find out that the finished project didn't fit my needs.
Oh my God! Just yesterday, I told my self how can one make his own tool and to my surprise I get your video . You are a craft man, but I learnt that I can't do it at home despite I obtain needed tools. Thanks and God bless you.
I am really impressed with your build without welding. What would really make this super special is making the vice have the swivel feature and a pipe jaws under the flat jaws. Super great job fella. You got my vote of approval. Look forward for more weldless stuff from you Mistry Make Tool.
@@MistryMakeTool I have a great idea. How about making a swivel bench vice from stainless steel ??? I can tell you that when I get a chance either this coming week or next week, I will be at the metal yard getting stainless steel metal to make a swivel vice. Hope to start in two weeks or three. Thanks you for your idea. Look forward to see what else you so Mistry Make Tool. Good day too.
Good choice of background music. Great camera work. Very concise, flawless presentation. So excited I can finally build that vise I would have had to pay $200 for. All I need to do now is purchase an upright press, a tap and countersink, an angle grinder, and the metal to make the vise. I suppose this actually just points out how woefully lacking my tools are. It was a great video. You should ask for pictures from those who built a vise of their own from your video.
I must of watched this video at least 25 times and it's so enjoyable to see how well you built this vise with just bolts and how strong of a grip it has and it holds up to it genius idea sir......
I congratulate you, I have never seen such a simple, useful and well done tutorial, your mechanical screw is fantastic, seamless is great. Congratulation.
This has to be the best vise build video on UA-cam. I haven't seen this much thread tapping in any video at all. Your hands were definitely blessed. 2 THUMBS UP 👍👍.
This would be an excellent template for someone who needed to make a custom vice, the dimensions could be altered to suit anything, plus different sets of jaws could be added later. On a larger scale it could make a great power press for bearing/bush work.... Most vices seem to be made from cast iron which I think is more brittle but of greater tensile strength than plain steel (anyone?) So this type of vice would bend before it cracked when pushed beyond the limit - cast iron can crack if heated and cooled too quickly, mild steel would not so there is another property to it's creation right there. More to it than meets the eye I think.
Thank you! Yesterday mine was brocken while making rack using angular and i discovered it was made of non solid metal very soft. Wasted my 1500.00 pesos for that. Your invention was far better especially the materials you used. Thanks again.
Awesome job. You’re going to see that you’re going to want to switch out that handle though and put a half-inch to three-quarter inch piece of Black threaded gas pipe on it. That way you can actually even pick up the end caps for the gas pipe and cement money ends it would look really good. Great job

Using that hole starter thing is a good idea, I've broken so many of my dad's drills cause I could start a hole right. 🙄 (& yes I do buy him new tools when I break them)
Thats the most beautiful bench vise ive ever seen!! And i e owned alot of them! I would be so proud to own one like that! But man theres no way id go through all those steps to make one. I wish youd make them and sell them at a reasonable price! Beautiful work my friend! Wow

Great tip right there friend! I remember destroying my first caliper because I didn't used marker ink and well... The tip of my caliper got really torned up after marking some pieces of 1020 steel (Ok it was a cheap and crappy caliper but still... If I used that technique I wouldn't need to buy other caliper in a hurry back then)

Excellent little thing.
I like your "no welding" way of thinking. A lot of homebrew build here on the Tube require welding and/or plasma cutting.

В тисках, самая главная деталь, это резьбовой винт! Он должен быть с крупным шагом.
А твой сотрется мгновенно.
С мелким тоже нормуль
