What shows that a country is fairly democratic is not that journalists can have tea with politicians they criticise but that journalists can speak their mind without the fear of being thrown in prison

Ntv thanks for bringing Andrew on. I studied journalism because of Andrew I wanted to be like him though I got mixed up along the way when I thought he changed. But today have learnt something new from him again. And so he will remain my inspiration in journalism. I would like to meet him in future.
Interesting. People used to respect Mwenda. Now read the comments on here. I rarely meet anyone anywhere in Uganda who doesn’t have complete contempt for him. Says it all really.
Totally. You’ve got it in one. Mwenda is eveything thats wrong with Uganda. A critic of Mussevini for years, as the owner of a failing paper he took M7s state money. Now hes M7s spokesman.
Just waiting to witness one day after Musaba how those who claim no democracy in the country yet they can seat on any radio/TV channel and express themselves how they will feel 🙆🙆
You look at such a person Mwenda because he is eating and expecting much if JUNTA stays in power In the previous years he used to curse it talikng like a sewing machine while he was a spie for both Rwanda and Uganda
Hes always been a spy. In 2006-8 when he was printing that anti Mussevini stuff every day in the Monitor, I was being told that it was nonsense and he didnt believe a word of it.

Andrew must be the most articulate Ugandan journalist with a clarity of mind.

Are you serious? If that's the case then there's nothing as journalism in Uganda.
