It’s really tough because it’s very natural and instinctual for us human beings to compare ourselves and our resources to those of other people. Evolutionarily speaking, the ancestors who did not compare and did not care were less likely to survive. At a metaphorical level, we are not that different from primates hoarding food - The ones who successfully have more than others, are more likely to live on and pass on their genes. That’s why today we all are wired to try to achieve the most, get the best, and win rather than lose. I have a list that keeps growing so thank you so much for contributing to it!
Great video as always. Aside - Wild that people like Matt and Meredith Boyd photos. They make everyone look older in a bad way. Love your point about asking anyway!
I so agree on the skills part, especially with the increasing focus on public speaking and skills rather then just beauty, it doesn't hurt to invest in those,at the end of the day they are needed during the reign. I've been investing time to learn things that can be learned such as styling hair clothes and nails. Goes a long way. Again thank you for this video!
I’m probably not going to compete in a pageant ever but you are completely right about skill development. Any person would benefit from investing in themselves. Thank you for your honest and generous advice.

Thank you for making this request 🙂 it was fun to assemble this video! I forgot to mention though that borrowing from others is a really good source of stuff. I borrowed tons of shoes and clothes which brought a lot of costs down !
