In this video I mention looking at other older games and how I didn't think The Bigs aged very well. I wanted to double check after the video and fired it up for a quick game, and I think it's actually looking pretty good. I'd love to get into it around spring time.
Agility needs to go up that determines the quickest highest jumps in jump ball situations...and also the spins and hurdles...and utilize the style dive in the end zone more👍🏾 love the vids man
I loved the layout of this video Cane! Some challenges first with general commentary, and then most of the episode was challenge games. Also - these are 2003 rosters I believe because the game came out ealy 2004. Street 2 also came out in 2004 but were 04 rosters. I love the retrospectives on the rosters as you play those teams, cant wait for the Vikings memories
Hey Cane, love you playing my favorite game as a kid. I remember the audibles are a bit weird, but here is what I found online. Looking forward to the next episode! Audibles - Offense ------------------ Audible L1 Button (Before the Snap) Make The Running Back Block Then Release (D-pad Right) Send all Your Receivers On Streak Patterns (D-pad Up) Call A Run Play For The Snap Recipient (D-pad Down) Cancel Audible Triangle ------------------ Audibles - Defense ------------------ Audible L1 Button (Before the Snap) Put Your Secondary and Linebackers into Zone (D-pad Up) Send your linebackers on a blitz (D-pad Down) Go into man defense with two deep coverage (D-pad Right/Left) Cancel Audible Triangle
loving this series bud, perfect timing. the irl playoffs are making me want more football. also, @23:00, portis was traded for champ bailey, they werent on the same team
Do the challenges that give you gear that upgrades your stats. There’s gloves that increase passing by 3. So by getting it you don’t have to spend points to get to level 20 for catching, you only have to get to 17. There’s gear like this is every area of the game. It’s a good way to save points in the late game. Hope you see this
Maybe bump the whole team's carrying up to a certain minimum. It'd be pretty cheap, and you never know who's gonna recover a fumble on defense; don't want to fumble away your fumble recoveries as often as you've done so far.
Level 11 is the baseline minimum for all stats you value imo. I would personally say 5 is fine for the 3 Lineman, but 15 is a good baseline for QB, RB, WR, DB imo.
Can you Please do NBA Street Vol.2 for your next series??!! That game is a cornerstone of my childhood along with fight night. And this series is amazing thank you
As a Broncos fan, the Jake Plummer era is one of my favorites. Champ Bailey was actually added in the following season, as we traded Clinton Portis to Washington for Bailey and a 2nd rounder (WHAT A STEAL FOR DENVER). Oh and I LOVE the shirt for Sulley. Makes him stand out.
L1+ x, square or circle to do a style pass L1+ square on defense for power tackle; if you move your safety to the line it almost always results in a sack or sometimes a fumble For your next team build, try custom instead of balanced. Best way to beat the ladder is by stealing players and to put the 8000 dev points all into a 2 way player, while adding impact gear along the way. Best of luck brother, and thank you for bringing back these memories!
Can it’s badass seeing you play a child fav game of mine and so many others games like this I wish were still made today with the passion and fun factor. I wait for every one of these videos to come out lol.
On the conversation about game controls changing over the years... for the Japanese versions of PS1 through PS4, it was very consistently 'O' as confirm and 'X' as back (the symbols were actually originally chosen in development of the PS1 to be configured in exactly that way), however they decided to make the controls match international controls with the release of PS5
played this game with my older brother and his friends when it came out on xbox. got me into football and playing backyard football. thanks for the video and memories
Personally I would love for you to show everything in this series, don't only show the ladder challenges in detail. I loved this game, and the second one, back in the day, and watching you trying some of the challenges I still specifically remember is a really cool feeling. Plus watching the challenges makes the gameplay unique in it's own right for each challenge, whereas the ladders, while definitely fun, are just the same "first to 36" every time. So please please consider including all of what you do on this game. I'll watch 100 videos of NFL street is that means I get to watch the full experience!
One thing that is very interesting is the first down markers are static. If you gain 17 "yards" on a play, it will be 1st down and 3. Or if you get a fumble between markers, it could be 1st and 6. I'm sure it's much easier to just code it that way instead of adjusting them.
Aye mrhurricane another throwback game I remember playing was back yard football, I loved playing that one, and I know you’ve played it years ago and I know that’d be another fun one to re visit
Love this. I think the timing is perfect to get into a weird game like this. I remember getting this for a bday present, but as a Bengals fan street 3 was where it was at!
The Broncos really handicapped themselves on the ladder by letting Eddie play and sitting Portis for you. Don't you remember that first challenge video when Portis stole your lunch money and gave you noogies for an hour? The Portis Bailey trade was already mentioned, but a cool personal note, I was at the training facility when Champ flew in post trade. I got to see Portis's locker stuffed to the brim with game balls and met Rod Smith and John Mobley.
Hey man fun to watch these throwbacks! Street 2 was a lot of fun wall jumps and all that but blitz the league is on a whole new level. Also was funny to hear your secret about being a Vikings fan looks like they're gonna be fun to watch again soon!
Continue to love the series! I like how you spread this video out. I enjoy watching the highlights of your dev point challenges! Adds some quality filler then watching you divvy up your pts is always good. Overall, I really enjoy this series!
They changed it universally to circle during the PS3 era because circle was the back button in Japan(it's also the back button on the ps2's system menu), so when they showed off the ps3's home menu they made circle universal as the back button and devs followed as well just so they didn't confuse people.
To this day I still love the street series…… really wish EA big was still around….. also not a baseball fan but slugfest was super fun played it a lot!!!!!!
I like the format of this episode, but I'm not opposed to more challenge gameplay either, I trust your judgement. Sulleys new look is awesome, maybe some better jeans and shoes to tie it together.
Sully's shirt is a rugby shirt. Give him some shorts for a complete rugby look. Speaking of rugby you should try a rugby game on the channel. Not a bad time to get into the sport with the 6 Nations starting this weekend!
Personally I liked watching you do the challenges as well. Had me dying when you had a hard time. You’re a very funny and entertaining guy. Either way though I’ve been enjoying this so much. Glad I found your channel and I hope you play the next two as well. (:
Nfl street 2 is cool got stuff like crush the carrier , jump ball battle , 2 v 2 as side modes and games based on style point and I think timed all in the own the city mode not to mention the wall jump feature which fire
With the tougher challenges don’t be afraid to insta-restart. A lot of times with ones you need good defense for. Your praying to break up a pitch play. That’s how I’ve always done them. Also if you create a new team and out all points in to qb wr and rb leave everyone else 0. You can steal players with that much offense. Just have to score every pos
Referring to you not wanting the episodes to be fillery I say who cares. The charm of this game and your content is watching you grow your team and fail and tough it through these challenges. This is a series I feel that could be 80 episodes long and you'd still have a good following. Mostly because series like these don't exist anymore. Youre doing us all a great service playing this game. That being said play and edit the videos as you wish. I just think I speak for everyone that we'd like to see you finish the entire thing then go on to the next. Much love! Edit after Watching the rest of the vid I told you those gamebreaker challenges are fun cane😉
Maybe time to look at a few of the impact challenges, be an easier way to get some extra attribute points without having to blow all of the development opinions. At least to keep things afloat
I'm so impressed that the CPU knew its best chance was to hold on to its gamebreaker for defense and force a turnover. It's depressing that modern AI isn't usually that smart.
There is an arcade style basketball game on Sega Genesis called Barkley, Shut up and Jam. It was fun, as far as I can remember. I honestly don’t know if it holds up or not.
When switching to a player that is covering an wide receiver. Don't always go for the passing bull's-eye symbol. Stay right behind the wide receiver. This is where your agility skills comes in. Your DB, will vertically jump for the the ball.
On defense when you press L1 and square together. Will allow you to fumble the ball from your opponent. Just have to time it right for hitting that Turbo.
One of my all time favorite series was the street nfl and street nba, definitely loving the videos and gonna stick around if you're gonna do all 3 games
Not gonna lie, the later ladders tend to be more of a persistence thing than anything because the luck really gets one-sided in this game. I still think a live stream challenges run would be great once you get a few more divisions unlocked.
NFL Fever is far from perfect but it's an absolutely GREAT shot at trying to make a prestige football sim game at the time. The bulk of it that I can remember of one of those games is Peyton Manning being on the cover and the game being audible city, but I felt like the audibles were a lot more organic than the constant random audibling Manning would do in other games mostly just for the sake of flavor. You should definitely check it out!
Now that you say it, I'm surprised as well that there haven't been different ways to win games (like you said, all these games have just been first to score 36). I definitely remember NBA Street having different ways to win the game. Like first to get 2 Gamebreakers was def one I remember. Anyways, you should play that game next. Fricking LOVE NBA Street. Shit, I'm about to go play it right now just out of respect.. anyways lol, love the vids man
Great series and I like Sulley's edit. Editing 1 player appearance every other episode will get them done in no time. I trust you with the format of the series, but I will watch this until you don't make it anymore!
I think you might enjoy some other street style sports games so I made a list of some of my favorites. NHL hitz Red card soccer MLB slugfest MLB the bigs NFL blitz NBA street NBA home court Oh I see you mentioned half way through…. Cool
Hey Cane! I know this is an old video, and i'm mostly just rewatching the series because i'm playing NFL street rn. But what i wanna bring to your attention is that in this video, you bring up the MLB Bigs series and how the 1st game hasn't "aged well."I agree with that statement. However, The Bigs 2 is honestly one of the best arcade style sports video games i've played. The graphics are much better, the gameplay is addictive and the ''becoming a legend" career mode is SOOO good. @@WesBDretroSinga Thank you for this.
Absolutely love The Bigs 1 and 2
I’m going to recommend NBA Street V2 on every one of these videos. Also Demario needs a bucket hat. It just feels right
@@erickfrauendienst8014 I second NBA Street Vol. 2. NBA Street Vol. 2 and NFL Street 2 are the best games EA Sports BIG put out!
I loved the layout of this video Cane! Some challenges first with general commentary, and then most of the episode was challenge games. I agree, if you don’t want filler, keep this format: Highlights of challenges then ladders matches. I’m excited for Street 2 so this works
Hey Cane, love you playing my favorite game as a kid. I remember the audibles are a bit weird, but here is what I found online. Looking forward to the next episode!
Audibles - Offense
------------------
Audible L1 Button (Before the Snap)
Make The Running Back Block Then Release (D-pad Right)
Send all Your Receivers On Streak Patterns (D-pad Up)
Call A Run Play For The Snap Recipient (D-pad Down)
Cancel Audible Triangle

Audibles - Defense

Audible L1 Button (Before the Snap)
Put Your Secondary and Linebackers into Zone (D-pad Up)
Send your linebackers on a blitz (D-pad Down)
Go into man defense with two deep coverage (D-pad Right/Left)
Cancel Audible Triangle
loving this series bud, perfect timing. the irl playoffs are making me want more football.
also, @23:00, portis was traded for champ bailey, they werent on the same team
Portis is still on the Redskins in this one!

That's a good idea. Those upgrades from 16-20 are so expensive. A piece of gear could easily be worth around 700-1000 points on the right player.
NBA Street Vol2 is the GREATEST arcade basketball game ever. So much culture, fun gameplay, great soundtrack!!! I can’t wait for you to play it!
Knack is underrated. Definitely early 2000s PS2-type vibes.
Maybe bump the whole team's carrying up to a certain minimum. It'd be pretty cheap, and you never know who's gonna recover a fumble on defense; don't want to fumble away your fumble recoveries as often as you've done so far.
100%
Level 11 is the baseline minimum for all stats you value imo.
I would personally say 5 is fine for the 3 Lineman, but 15 is a good baseline for QB, RB, WR, DB imo.
This series has unlocked so many memories I completely forgot about. These faces, names, stadiums. It’s unreal lol nostalgia UA-cam never fails
I would love to have more gameplay in the video. The challenges and ladders would be amazing
15:05..... yes please! Greatest baseball game ever! Ive got sooooo many hours in MVP 05 baseball
NBA street V.2 is a timeless classic, one of the best sports arcade games
Can you Please do NBA Street Vol.2 for your next series??!! That game is a cornerstone of my childhood along with fight night. And this series is amazing thank you
Thanks for this wisdom teeth got pulled today!!. Love this series!!!
Take it easy for the next week! That's not fun to deal with.
Sully had himself a day. 3 total touchdowns. A forced fumble and recovery. Sully in the polo is a different breed. Keep that look Cane!! Great episode

Personally, the challenges were the most entertaining part to me. Loves them.
Loved the beginning with the challenges recap. Great stuff
can only speak for myself, but watching the challenges is pretty cool too.
played this game with my older brother and his friends when it came out on xbox. got me into football and playing backyard football. thanks for the video and memories
26:01 to 26:13 was so funny 😂, great video format though I like it

I love the challenges part - keep them and so we can see where points are spent.
Such a fun game to watch. It's silly, but casual. Perfect viewing!

The MLB Slugfest series is great. it's NFL Blitz but for baseball, also NBA Ballers is a cool series.
The bigs 2, one of the all time great sports games!

This is the best series on youtube. You are doing a great job
all around i really like how this video progresses vs the others in the series keep it up!
To this day I still love the street series…… really wish EA big was still around….. also not a baseball fan but slugfest was super fun played it a lot!!!!!!
Been watching you since the Vikings franchise days. You make my days so much better
I like the format of this episode, but I'm not opposed to more challenge gameplay either, I trust your judgement. Sulleys new look is awesome, maybe some better jeans and shoes to tie it together.
Just found your channel when you started this series. I love it and now love you. I will be purposing to you soon
These videos are seriously awesome.
Good job, fam. just dont ignore catching for your guys on Defense and dont ignore Blocking for your whole team.
Hurry up and load part 6 😂😂😂 lol new to the channel really enjoying it here….
I love every series you do.
I love this series!! I wait for every episode to come out!!
So glad this is still going miss playing this classic
Sully's shirt is a rugby shirt. Give him some shorts for a complete rugby look.
Speaking of rugby you should try a rugby game on the channel. Not a bad time to get into the sport with the 6 Nations starting this weekend!
Some would go as far as to say knack is a masterpiece
masterpiece maybe but mastahpeece? for sure
Just wanna give thanks to UA-cam algorithm for bringing me to this series! Love the videos so far bro
Personally I liked watching you do the challenges as well. Had me dying when you had a hard time. You’re a very funny and entertaining guy. Either way though I’ve been enjoying this so much. Glad I found your channel and I hope you play the next two as well. (:

Bigs 2 was a personal favorite
Nba street volume 2 was my favorite!!
The Bigs 2 was incredible! So much better than the first
Colt Sulley looks like a middle schools on picture day lol.
Sully definitely would be wearing a stripped, long sleeve, collared shirt 🤣
NHL Hitz was an amazing game. Maybe for some dabble into hockey.

Let’s gooooo glad I found this series and channel man keep going!!!
Also if you hold L1 + square, you’ll do a power tackle that can get you more fumbles and stop the runs easier
My sister got me and my brother Knack when we got a PS4 and I thought I’d hate it but it became one of my favorites a really underrated game
Referring to you not wanting the episodes to be fillery I say who cares. The charm of this game and your content is watching you grow your team and fail and tough it through these challenges. I told you those gamebreaker challenges are fun cane😉
Love the series, was obsessed with the game growing up. Noticed your carry for your WR and DBs is low
Maybe time to look at a few of the impact challenges, be an easier way to get some extra attribute points without having to blow all of the development opinions. At least to keep things afloat
Best series on UA-cam
I'm so impressed that the CPU knew its best chance was to hold on to its gamebreaker for defense and force a turnover. It's depressing that modern AI isn't usually that smart.
I highly recommend NBA street Volume 3, NFL Fever, and NFL Blitz ‘03
There is an arcade style basketball game on Sega Genesis called Barkley, Shut up and Jam. It was fun, as far as I can remember. I honestly don’t know if it holds up or not.
Man I freaking love slugfest
loving the series👍🏼
When switching to a player that is covering an wide receiver. Don't always go for the passing bull's-eye symbol. Stay right behind the wide receiver. This is where your agility skills comes in. Your DB, will vertically jump for the the ball.
I'm pretty sure there was a challenge for scoring against a gamebreaker in the NFC West and I used to do it by running the ball lol
Style catches are user determined...lol u gota get a little better user for this😅😅 u got it champ
If you get a chance play NHL hits 02 or 03 I forgot which one. One of the best arcade hockey games I played ever
Get “The Bigs 2” the become a legend mode is unreal!!
Oh also, (I posted this before I finished the video) NBA Street Vol. 2 was and is one of the best sports games ever. I highly vote for that game next!
Great series and I like Sulley's edit. Editing 1 player appearance every other episode will get them done in no time. I trust you with the format of the series, but I will watch this until you don't make it anymore!
I know football baseball. But some old school tiger woods games would nice seeing
I'll look into it
I started playing this as well made my team of the nfls biggest busts like Tony manderich Jamarcus Russel ect
Love this series
I think you might enjoy some other street style sports games so I made a list of some of my favorites.
NHL hitz
Red card soccer
MLB slugfest
MLB the bigs
NFL blitz
NBA street
NBA home court
Oh I see you mentioned half way through…. Cool
FIFA Street 2 is fun!
yo new sub. NBA street 2 and NFL street 2 were the only two games me and my friends played when we were kids. really wanna see both
I'm not going to spoil anything in case you haven't played it, but let's just say you don't just play in the MLB.
If you could get your hands on the game, i would recommend recording videos for it.
Seriously though, MLB youtubers who have played Bigs 2 in recent years have had those videos be their most popular.
Anyways, I would tell you to keep up the good work, but you've been making good content for years now.
In the afc south, one of the challenges is beating the colts in a game to 100
you should start your own MrHurriicast
Have you thought about live streaming the challenges? Might be a good idea
The ladder may seem very boring but some of the maps make it so much harder on certain things like for the NFC East, everyone has way less agility and is more likely to slip
Yes do some challenges
Love it. Keep it coming
Suggestions for Dev Points (From Start):
QB: Passing, Speed, Tackling, Run Power, Carrying
RB: Speed, Tackling, Run Power, Carrying, Coverage, Catching
WR: Speed, Agility, Tackling, Catching, Carrying, Run Power, Coverage
OT: Blocking, D Moves, Speed, Tackling
OT: Blocking, D Moves, Speed, Tackling
CB: Speed, Tackling, Catching, Carrying, Run Power, Coverage, Agility
C/NT: Blank/Nothing/No Upgrades (Legends Spot).
Everything is different on hard lol hey yo!!
Cane I hope you have as much fun with Harbaugh in Minnesota as you do with this game. As an ohio state fan something tells me you might not 😬 jokes aside, thanks for the content man
