I love it when they bring back classic monsters/aliens/villains from the original series into the modern version, it really helps to introduce the modern generation to some of The Doctor's old enemies and history of the show's past. The same thing applies to the past companions like Susan, Sarah Jane Smith, Ian and Barbara to name a few.

'World enough and time' - the Cyberman story I'd been waiting for since becoming a fan in the 90s. The closest the TV Cybermen got to giving me Spare Parts-esque horror
Going by their original appearance, the Master should have been represented by Roger Delgado, preferably his very first scene ;- "I am usually refered to as The Master.......universally."
They did bring the autons back a couple of times, they were a bit different but they were still definitely autons. In the first episode of series one, “Rose”, the autons were shop window dummies. In series five, all of the Romans, including Rory, were autons too.
Sutekh still has the most surprising, and best return in modern Doctor Who in my personal opinion. The way his return was built up made my heart race like no other and caught me off guard, which I believe is very important to make an old villain (who only appeared once) return so impactful. The Master's return during the 13th Doctor era is also a close second because that too caught me off guard, but I did kinda expected The Master to return sometime soon after their last appearance

Not only has the TARDIS been through what ultimately killed Suthec multiple times, but literally the post-Time War and pre-Time War TARDIS are not the same TARDIS. There are also plenty of situations where Suthec should have been discovered or at least detected. And if that were not enough, without any apparent explanation, Suthec went from being an alien who pretended to be a cultist deity of Chaos and Malice to literally being the God of Death.There was already an earthly god of death, Anubis, and then there was already an Eternal called Death, the Eternals being the origin, principle and existential god of the concepts born from their respective names throughout every universe, possibility or dimension.
Geoffrey Beevers' Master reveal in The Keeper Of Traken was a favorite at the time. Chiefly because of his Master having facially expressive makeup as opposed to the constricting mask that Peter Pratt had in The Deadly Assassin.
Sacha Dhawan's Master was the one highlight of the Chibnall era. He absolutely knocked it out of the park. I do hope we see more of Jodie, though, and see what she can do with good material to work with.

I grew up watching the first russell t davies era of doctor who and I remember watching the series 1 episode Dalek and just feeling how iconic the daleks were without actually knowing much about them at that point! The cybermen terrified me in Rise of the Cybermen and Age of Steel, and I loved the characterisation of the sontarans in series 4! Davros was a big reveal in series 4, but the reveal of the master in series 3 was amazing! I confess I didn't know who the master was back in 2007, but the stories for his episodes were so incredible I quickly realised how much significance the master played in the doctors life and how dangerous he was! And I loved steven moffat's reintroduction of the zygons in the 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor! ❤️❤️🔷😊
None of the Ice Warriors', Cybermen's, or Zygons' clips were from their revival era debut either. I think they just picked clips that they thought best represented each villain - the Ice Warriors had more of a talking presence in Empress of Mars than Cold War, for example.

They kind of already have. So far, the whole RTD2 era has been quite Dalek-free (beyond a couple mentions of Skaro and the Children in Need special). The last time the Daleks properly showed up was in the Power of the Doctor, but they weren’t even the main villains, it was more the Master and the Cybermen. The last time that the Daleks were the main villain of a story was I think Eve of the Daleks and the other two New Year’s specials (And Flux but there was so much going on there that it doesn’t matter). The last few years have actually been really Dalek-lite compared to the first RTD era, where the Daleks were the main villain in nearly every series. Also, the Daleks are some of the most recognisable elements of Doctor Who beyond the Tardis and the Doctor himself. They’re one of the only elements of the show that non-Doctor Who fans are familiar with, so removing them entirely would absolutely ruin the show.
Where’s Moffat? He was a villain during The RTD era and gave us the worst 7 years in the shows history. He recently came back to write an episode during the last season and wrote the worst one. He’s definitely a classic villain who returned
