Great reaction as always! Thanks for the Friday surprise. I think for most Aurora reactors, her KEXP Iceland performance was the first time we saw her really upbeat and energetic, and it's great! KEXP is a nonprofit radio station from Seattle, Washington. Back in ye olde days of radio and tv broadcasting (AKA my childhood and before) all stations broadcasting signals over the analog airwaves were assigned identifying call signs, or call letters. KEXP, WJBK, WKRP, CJBK, CFPL. Signals in the US all began with either "W" or "K", "K" west of the Mississippi River, "W" east. Most call signs are pronounced letter-by-letter, so you'll hear "K-E-X-P" spelled out.
He certainly swishes the KEXP into one quick word as he’s speaking. He also talks about the location of the venue at KEX Hostel, which is a hotel in Reykjavik housed in an old biscuit factory, KEX is the Icelandic word for “biscuit”.
Eh, great surprise indeed. Thanks for spoiling us like that. So much joyful energy is really enjoyable to watch. I don't really remember, but since she's still wearing her nice jacket, her left armband and even her shoes, she hasn't sung many songs yet...😀 It's true that all of her live performances tend to be outstanding, in a way or another, and the various musicians who accompany her are generally excellent, as are the results. My heart! My head! My mind! This was indeed a very pleasant surprise! This entire six-song set it absolute fire, and obviously this was no exception. My favorite version of this song. And yes, her band is extremely talented too. They've all gone elsewhere at this point, but she's always been surrounded by really good musicians and backup vocalists. (Singer Silja and drummer Magnus, here, are extra special, though.)

Great production, and thankfully many of her concert's are very well produced. Even that one song in a boat. When you eventually do "Churchyard", the full concert (it's the first song) includes her 🤘mic test. Not exactly essential, but fun for Aurora nerds 😊.

@ashlenamusic Here's another. The covers for Infections of a Different Kind is an "inhale" on Step I and an "exhale" on Step II. Which became the title of a song on the following album. It's a great song of mother earth breathing, pleading for an intervention on her behalf.

I know you already heard it when you listened to the whole album, but did you react to the live version? Did you give away a hint on a forthcoming video? Or did you just think you watched that one because you recognized the song? Lol Anyway if you didn't watch it, you should! Its a great performance of the song, though I can never decide if I prefer the KEXP performance or the Verftet Online Music Festival 2020 performance.
