You are one of my "go-to" people when it comes up to "smart things" around the house. I usually use Sonoff gadgets, and I am not a geek so it is always good to have your videos handy.

Hi,, thanks for great review, if there is a power loss and no internet connection, does it still keep current KWH readings? Or it gets reset? I plan to use it on my generator, as regular energy meter, thanks.
It remembers. There is a separate reset function to zero all readings.
Hello, do you know the pin layout on the RJ?
It is to know the connection of a dallas ds18b20 or a DHT22.
If you have an adapter it might be easier to measure with a tester each pin of the RJ with the pins of the jack.

I bought one to know the pinout and today I received it a TH Elite 20A and in 5 min without adapter I knew the pinout I used a DS18B20 and a DHT22 the latter much faster in showing the changes constantly, faster than the Dallas, but just appeared a firmware update message, maybe I improve, I no longer tested it with the Dallas and last update.
In summary in the video I see an adapter is as easy as checking with a tester the pins, maybe the desire to do it but we are Makers!
I already have the pinout and working, I wanted to know before.
To include or not, one the sensor next to the TH Elite but I have at home many Dallas and many DHT22 would be a useless expense.

Mr varga can we use the pow only for power metering and not controlling any switch?
Yes, there is a power-on-state which you set to ON. That will turn on the relay when the unit turns on. Just need to remember not to click on the button on the eWelink app.

So, it is probably the TH Elite. Connect the mains power to Lin and N terminals. The two middle terminals. Plug in the sensor on the top and you are ready to go.

@@MrJongaiser First connect it with a simple plug, or you are unsure use an extension cable with a fuse. That should be OK.
Don't use the sensors with the jack plug converters. I just had 2 elite-16 that gave readings around 6deg F out & the graphics was breaking up. The company sent 2 new sensors with RJ11 connectors & problem was solved.
You cannot monitor the power consumption or access power graphs with TH Elite, as you do with POW? That would be a big bummer since, market-wise, TH seems to be an improvement or superior over POW.
Th was always just temperature and humidity sensor and for power monitoring POW had to be used. I see no change in the product mix with elite.

Does it support ovp uvp ocp?
Yes, you can set upper and lower limit, both of voltage and current and also power.

I would be happy to contact you as you are realy professional with the sonoff products . its not about this video but its about an airbnb apartment set up.
I wanted to make a scene where if the guest leaves the apartment then the AC and lights turn off. But if the guest are in the apartment then every thing should work.
I tried to do it with the sonoff motion detector and door sensor. I created 2 scenes 1) If the door is opened and no motion is detected then the AC/Lights turn off.
2) if motion is detected then the ac/light go on. what I wanted to reach with it is that as long as the door is not opened and no more motion is detected the ac/lights stay on this way if at night the guest go to sleep and the motion detector does not detect motion still all will work because the door didn't open. Unfortunately this didn't work because the ac/lights turned off as soon as the motion detector didn't detect motion . or as soon as the door was opened although there was motion it turned off the ac/lights . please advise how i can do it the best and efficient way.
