How to Weld A Magnetic Clasp Bracelet | Jewelry Tutorial Step By Step - Orion Micro Welder

In this video, I demonstrate how to measure, cut and weld a magnetic bracelet. Magnetic clasp bracelets are a perfect alternative to traditional clasp bracelets, which many find difficult to close without the help of another person.
However, many of the magnets on the market have not been strong enough and people have reported losing their bracelets and necklaces because the clasp did not close securely when worn throughout the day. That is, until the invention of tiny earth magnets. As you can see, in this video, the magnets actually jump towards one another, and it takes a great deal of force to pull them apart
On this note, it is vital that the chain is attached to the magnetic clasp securely - with either wire wrapping or welding/soldering. Many spring ring and trigger clasps can be attached fairly securely with thick jump rings, but because earth magnets are so strong, the ring would open before the clasp comes apart, unless it is welded Or soldered.
