You’re crazy man. Let me ask you a question if Jacoby Burchett was over there in Kansas City do you think they would be winning this many games right now? You can have the best coaches in the world if you don’t have a good quarterback, you’re not going to win anything. Does anyone not know that? Now we have to see how good these coaches are. They have a young rookie very athletic very good. Put in some plays that make him look good.
They could have kept Zappe the gunslinger with mobility and saved Brissets 8 million and spent it on 2 good offensive linemen

You can have the best coaches in the world if you don’t have a good quarterback, you’re not going to win anything. If Jacoby Verette was starting in Kansas City, do you think they would be this good right now?
5 OCs within 4.5 years... that's a recipe for offensive success.. Maye is so fucked if that happens....
If the new OC has the same philosophy as the old then it won't be an issue or as much as one.

He's only had one since he arrived in New England.
Of course a new HC with a different offensive philosophy will hire a new OC.
@osonhouston History will repeat itself at this rate. Go through another 3 OCs, screw up Maye, and we're on to picking another QB in the top 5 of the draft

That said if Van Pelt isn't an effective play caller he should be replaced especially if he's hindering Maye's development.

This has been cited 20,000 times. He was an HC. This has also happened a zillion times--guy isn't a good HC but is a good Coordinator, and goes back to this--that's exactly what they talked about here. The most substantive thing people can say is making fun of McAdoo's hair.
I am a real believer in the guys who were good to great OC’s that weren’t good head coaches back in the role of OC. Josh McDaniels, kingsbury to name a couple. I like the idea of Mcadoo getting a shot because at least we know he was good enough at it to get a head coaching job. This is all based on the idea that AVP can’t get it done. I am definitely willing to give it 3 or 4 weeks with Maye to see how it goes.
Also there was a less then 0 percent chance Kirk was coming to New England. I agree it wasn’t worth the time.
He always beat Cincy when he was the OC in Cleveland that’s why I wasn’t surprised
None of them are qualified to run our offense, AVP and Macadoo were brought in qualified as QB developers not OC's

Good after we get rid of VP. Mayo can follow him. This coaching staff sucks! Everyone is getting hurt constantly. Bad conditioning coach. O line sucks. Bad O line coach. Defense isn't even close to what BB got out of it. Bad defensive coordinator. Offense looked better with Mac Jones and Patricia and Judge running the offense. Bad offensive coordinator. Bad head coach the whole place is disorganized. Bad owner for getting caught with his pants down again!

Besides not putting Jones next to Owenu, I won't even tackle that. But Cole needs back Asap at Center! Get Sow reset then sound 3 w/ Sow/ Cole or new Center and Owenu. Add Lowe and Caleb OTs and thats 700lbs Right side to beat/run around! Lowe is smoothing out so stability/stop of musical chairs and playing players at strength best bet. Sound middle to Build off. Caleb seem a legit Floor and if Lowe keeps improving: will have the OTs by end of year. Why not try using Caleb Jones Size next to Owenu simply cuz size stops empty open shots thru A gap. + alot of Beef to Beat! Run around!!! Try Jones RT! Get Sow back atop PFF rankings and hopefully Lowe keeps bettering. Possibly have rnd 1 for Hunter/Tratoaira....or Cambell then back into first for Egbuka/Tratoira. Use 2 3s DE and top gap/spread/catching/great vision 220lbs speedy RB or Texas TE #3. Pay DE like Floyd or similiar beast as Barmore so 2 can get pressure of 4. Get Jones into RT so Owenu/Jones=700lbs to outmuscle/run around. Cuts A gap shots + hope sound Right side! Once Sow fully healthy, if Lowe keeps progress then maybe can use 4 top 100 picks on weapons/ Unless a Davis or Barmore falls unto

McAdoo got fired in part because he sat Eli which caused an uproar. Yes, they were 2-11 at the time, but they went 11-5 the year before.

Reading the comments makes me realize how far from reality most people are. Bill left this team with the worst group of players in the NFL. Good luck winning with this roster. People need to com the F down and let the complete rebuild begin. This is when you miss over and over again in the draft. As I have said in the past, Bill the GM got Bill the coach fired. On another note Drake is going to get hammered and it starts against the Texan who have the highest pressures in the NFL. I really hope to be wrong.
Yep Bill ruined it and then Kraft also went the wrong way about trying to turn it around, either the GM or head coach had to be experienced, putting 2 first timers in was ridiculous.
Even our defense and ST has no proven coaching on it either, Groh is garbage at drafting and i don't know how he wasn't the first one booted with Bill

Van Pelt is the reason Jablowby was brought in. He absolutely owns the ineptitude that has caused.
I do expect the offense to be more productive with maye, but i wouldn’t bet on AVP being with the team next season.
