Looking back, from a WVU perspective, there were so many pros on that roster (White, Spain, Smallwood, Joseph, etc). I remember thinking that scoop and score at 1:38:00 was going to be the deciding play. But no, West Virginia did what West Virginia does...
run clock, don't throw in case of an incompletion or a pick, punt and make them have to go to the entire field. The sad part is on 1st and 2nd down not being able to run the ball so it isn't 3rd and long.
