The clerks barely look at them, there’s very little proof you even filed (that info is often lost) and you can end up in endless court battles over who has the real filing. If the borrowers would have tried to sell their home the title company would have required these gentlemen to sign an affidavit the loan was paid off. Without that affidavit the title company will not recognize the false reconveyance. This whole new story is confusing.
