In search for early Summer Kob, Macassar Update

- Hi guys, in this Video we went to Macassar in search of a Kob or two. We arrived early morning to a cold South Westerly breeze and full moon welcoming us on sunrise. We heard rumours of Kob coming out in Falsebay so our hopes where high.
Fishing was very slow but an awesome day it was fishing with my friends.
Macassar one of the best fishing spots in the Western cape and also one of the few places your can still drive on the beach and fish from the "Bakkie".
If you are new to fishing,
Please remember to stay safe as this is a very dangerous spot to fish, and it's advised to fish in a group. Fish during the day when there is a lot of other anglers and leave before it gets dark, this place is knows for gunpoint's and robberies.

Hi Bru. Awesome vid as usual. Yup, plenty waste in the water there. CoCT needs to do better waste management in the area, specially in the storm water system. I drove right past you guys. We fished at the pavilion.

Hi Victor I agree with your comments on Macs, my brother and I fished there on Saturday. What an amazing angling spot. It is however mind boggling how much plastic is floating in the water. Every single throw I had, ended up with plastic on the line. So sad! 🤦♂️
Yes it's crazy, the water and beach.. Like you say every throw comes back with some sort of plastic.. Wonder what's in the stomach of those kob

Wow manne. Dit het gelyk soos n Saterdag liga by Bloemhof dam. Lekker om weer so n gesonde kabeljou te sien. Ou Corrie en toe vang jy die 'banjo' mooi Manne. Drankie vir n goeie video.

@@saltaholic5235 dankie Victor. Ja ou Corrie het, danksy jou, diep in ons Harte kom kruip. Jy doen goeie werk. Ek het self baie gehengl. Toe besef dat dit vir my lekkerder is om met Junior hengelaars te werk. Die kompetiesies was skooner en gesonder. Op die ou eiende het ek verskeie junior Protea spanne bestuur. Selfs n draai loop maak met hulle in Italia. Ek self het in Bulgaria en Duitsland loop hengel. En al wat nou oorbly is baie memories en T-shirts. Die memories sal niemand kan steel nie. Nou lewe ek deur julle vlogs. Dit is seker nou tyd om my boek te skryf.
Jislaaik, baie nice oom,, ja skryf daai boek dan promote ek en corrie dit vir oom 💪

Altyd great om jou vids te kyk Victor! Plastiek is n euwel...Ek het die hele area tot by Strandfontein gehengel toe ek jonger was, totdat dit te gevaarlik geword het weens misdaad, en dit was lekker...en skoon. Ek ken so baie goeie hengelplekke al langs die area waar ek en my Pa en swaer bul galjoene uitgetrek het. Ek is nie bereid om my seuns op n hengeluitstappie hierheen te neem om hulle te wys waar hul Oupa my geleer nie.

@@saltaholic5235 Moelik om te se mbt die gemors...die informele woongebied is een faktor maar persone, vissermanne inkluis wat die strande gebruik is van die groot sondaars.Persone kan nie rommel net so op die strande laat nie...Ja die vis was baie mooi en n groot verskeidenheid spesies. Wens net ons kan die rommel EN die drone visvang beter beheer.

Hi yeah we saw one run but the guy got bitten off, the day before they also hooked into one and the guy lost all his line because he was throwing for kob, but there was a smaller 90kg bronzie landed a few days ago.. Saw it on facebook

Ek dink nie dis spesifiek mense langsi die see en op die beach wat so mors nie, maar die hele falsebaai se gemors wat in die see ingewaai word, riool pype vol gemors.. Alles loop ini see in

Hi, this season was very strange..we waited and waited but never seem to hear that they were there, all that freshwater made it a very bad Summer but the guys on the boats got some decent kob, Garick and grunter. We are quite far away so have to plan it carefully hehe

Please dont handle the fish on the dry sand, it does more harm than what we think
That's not dry sand, the angler decided to release the fish, when he took the hook out but still wasn't dry sand.. I am aware of that rule👍
