One of the single most underrated guitar channels online. You have taught me more about pedals and signal chains than any other source. Online or other. I have actually taken some of my old pedals that I retired because I didn’t understand their full potential or where in the chain to put them. I look forward to all your content. As a commenter above stated your ear and ability to dial in tones is uncanny.
Christmas came early this year! No one beats Lamd on recreating legendary metal tones, getting to use his knowledge while playing on my Katana is on the top 10 of great things in 2022! 🙏
I played a show Saturday night with 4 other bands and one of the band's guitarist was playing one of these and he easily had one of the best metal tones of the night.
I love this amp, I've gotten spot on pantera, metallica, megadeath, and van halen tones from it. Amazing that you can get an amp like this for the price!!!!!
Such awesome tones!. Can't wait for more of your vids on this head!. That Justice clean tone sounded bang on. My favourite clean tone. Awesome stuff mate! 🤘🏻
That the clean tone is good isn't a surprise, it will have been modelled on the Roland JC-120, which MANY people have used over the years (including Hetfield). Those heavy tones are fantastic. I think the Katana range is one of the best to come out in last decade. Boss absolutely nailed it.
So happy to see you enjoying this thing! You’re tones are already great, can’t wait to see what you come up with. Would love to see your take on a Dimebag “Vulgar” tone or a puppets tone on this thing. You’re the best!
The tone master picked up my Amp! I was actually thinking the other day that it'd be dope if you had the chance of messing around with the katana and boss tones. Hope we can see you implement more videos using this set up!
I have the boss Katana mk 2 50 watt combo amp for two years now and I haven’t even thought about getting another amp for at home practice. Truly one of the most underrated amps in my opinion
Bought myself this mk2 head few days back and you have to love it just how much it can give you and how good tones you can get out of it, and for the pretty low price too. It pairs nicely with my 4x12 cab as well as my diy 1x12.
@@viacheslav2239 Really, I had the thr10X for about an hour and immediatlely sent it back to Sweetwater. Was damn glad they have a money back guarantee.
Going to try some of the techniques I've learned in your Katana playlist and revisit my early Black Sabbath tone. Think I can dial in something better chaining the EQs. Absolutely love this newly found channel!!!!
This is the best review of the Boss Katana amp to date ...... mate Boss should endorse you coz this video beats all other video reviews posted of the amp yet to date! I've got a Blackstar silverline deluxe stereo 100w head and it's damn good for a solid state amp but I always come back to a valve amp as I find the tone just that little bit more satisfying to my ear but congrats on securing another amp to your arsenal dude I wish you and your family a Merry Xmas and a safe and happy New Year man 🎅🤘
I Was torn between this and the anycubic spark. I went with the spark because i liked the idea of having all the effects and EQ on an app, and i dont really need the volume. Youre fucking awesome and inspirational. Thanks for all your awesome content
Yeah! I own the Katana 100 MkII and I'm really happy with it, I can achieve every tone I want. And the amp accepts pedals really well , I've got my Boss SD1 in the front end to get that 80s tone. You should try it!
Holy cow... how did I just find this, I watch every other high gain UA-camr but you're my age (assuming) listen to and learn all the same music from the golden years of metal... New sub for sure. Great ear at dialing tones, you really understand mids in guitar tones, very rare on here at this level, I'd love to have you in my studio!
It would be super cool if a band hired the LambChopper to dial in a tone for an album. Like give him the di tracks and set him loose. I would like to hear it and watch him while he does so.
Thanks for the tones! I finally figured out how to get them into my amp, they're awesome! Love your content! Can't wait to hear what you come up with for Randy Rhoads tone for the Katana 😜
Amazingly on point tones as always Lamb. Have to give credit aswell in making all of these available for katana users to download. Thanks!! Giving the RIP a go now 🙂
Sweet i love the versatility of the amp. Your playing is a big part as well. Love it. Was looking at this head for the price your review great. Can't wait to see how it takes pedals, look forward to next week.
Outstanding, thanks for the presets! I've had the MKII 212 combo for a few months and I agree - it is a beast and an extremely well rounded package. Few months in, I wish I would have gotten just the head for the extra flexibility to swap cabs.
Just bought one, sold all my tube Amps, the katana is simply turn on and it's the same as every other time, it's fucking amazing, especially when downloading the jcm 800, spot on to the marshall tube sound, best amp I've ever owned, out of 9 amps
I have a friend who has the 50 watt version of this amp. It is an absolute weapon of an amp that can do it all. I love it! It's a high probability that my next amp may be a boss katana 2.
Well done Lamb! Awesome tones and you really show how many great tones are capable with a less expensive solid state amp. I’ve always loved solid state amps and it took the Boss Katana series before a lot of people started giving solid state amps the justice they deserve. The Katana 50 was a great amp for me. Pedals worked amazing through the amp and the tone studio worked incredible as well. Super versatile. If you can’t get good tones out of a Katana then you need to take a look at your own playing.
Dudeeeee!! You’ve helped me so much with getting good tones over the past couple years. I’ve bought a few of the pedals you have and it’s helped me tremendously. Now we have the same amp! I’m excited to see where you go with it. Cheers man!
I got a Katana last year and two of my presets are based on your Ride the Lightning and Painkiller tone videos! Its a really versatile amp, I'm constantly finding new things I can do with it.
Sounds great - loving the riffage Chop. Really considering getting the combo version of this amp for home practise. SLAYER rules as does your playing - savage! All the best from Ireland 🤘🍀🤘
You mentioned about amps in general having not so great clean tones, 2 that come to mind for me is my old Peavey stereo chorus 2x12 and my Carvin X-50B. I'm usually a huge tube guy, but that Peavey is amazing all around, especially the clean when the chorus and digital delay are on. The Carvin X-50B has a warm clean, and takes pedals really great! Love your content, Cheers!
No additional pedals were used? 👍🏼👍🏼The sound is amazing on that amp!! 🤘🤘Clean version tone was out of sight too…well done! I think quite a few more of these amps will be sold by watching this review!
I wish this video was around when I had my Katana Mk1 - i was never happy with it but I know many people think they are great. EQ is not an art I have mastered and you truly have a gift. You are the Johan Segeborn of metal. I'm sure you could nail the perfect Metallica tone with a potatoe.
Dude That is fucking Killer! I haven't messed the Katana before - I have heard great things about it but it was great to hear some of those tones you dialed in. Right now I'm playing through my 5150 III 2x12 combo or my Helix so I cant really justify getting another amp - but it does sound good - thanks for adding another thing to my want list lol. Cheers man - oh and that Justice clean tone was spot on.
Glad ur back and on the katana! I have the artist MkII and a ns2 and metalzone in front and gives me a killer metal tone. Good content and playing as usual and look foward to what you come up with next! Rock on and don't over due it! Rest and time is needed and glad u got that break to get ur head straight.
I have the 50 watt combo version of this amp. It's so awesome. It's probably the most fun I've had with a piece of musical gear. One could spend hours playing with tone studio. It'd be cool to see some detailed break downs on those tones, like what overdrives you're using and such.
@@estwrios3983 It's a Seymour Duncan humbucker bridge pick-up. I don't know the exact series of Seymour Duncan. I bought the guitar used a long time ago and it came with it. It's a real hot humbucker though.

There’s links in the description for the presets for this and all other software I’ve used over the years 🤘🏻
What a legend! So glad to see you back and tearing it up mate

does it work for the mk22 50 when the headstock attached to the amp as a one set? Im a newbie so i dont know much about using amp settings on pc

Lamb you do realize that your ear for 'hearing' a guitar tone and balancing the eq to reproduce it almost perfectly is a gift.
He really is amazing at that.
