It was when I sat my Pandaren character under the bridge and heard the Lorewalker fella sing this while the other one talked about the life of Liu Lang that I realized Blizzard still had it in them to create something truly magical.
As for all those idiots kicking off about the accuracy or racial aspects of this pseudo-Cantonese/Mandarin language, you don't ever here Finns or Welsh people slam Tolkien's work, despite his Quenyan and Sindarin languages being heavily based on their own.
I personally didn't take offence to the Gilnean's pseudo-Victorian English culture, despite being English myself so why get all uppity about another for no reason?
Why can't we simply enjoy creative fantasy inspired by, but not based on, the beautiful mythology of an ancient culture, as nearly all fantasy is?
Personally, I'm far happier that this is in the game than it not being there at all.
Agreed on all counts :D
I agree the little things should be appreciated not hated.
+Ozan Young Agreed.
Yeah... still "had" it in them... back in 2012.
So well put my friend
above is the lyric in Chinese, hope you like it
it is a piece of poetry, and it's beautiful
@@lolo-dg3um can i know the title?
请问这是客家话,还是广东话,第一次听说有歌词,我很震惊!
原來是這樣喔 0.0
听了几年都没听懂。。。这次终于知道词了!谢谢您
Lorewalker Cho sings it at the Wanderer's Festival which happens every Sunday at Turtle Beach in Krasarang Wilds from 9 pm to 11 pm server time.
I'm very tempted to resub just to hear that.
Blizzard, please. Give us something like this for in-game Pandaren language, not "Omnomnom."
The in-game pandaren language is actually a different language in-universe. It is derived from the mogu language, while this song is what the pandaren originally spoke like before the mogu came to power.
Sadly the in-game Pandaren language goes something like this:
"Om nom nom om nom nom nom... nom"
This take me back to a moment in my life where everything was sweet. I remember waking up at 6am to make my daily missions with my best friend. Good old times.
that hit me so hard...
Even as a made up Chinese language, they did rather well, I feel. Pronounciation could be better but, hey, I like it. //says this as someone who is Chinese
I am a Chinese and I am still looking for anyone to translate its lyrics
it's more like one kind of ancient Chinese languages.
tbh it sounds like a mixture of French and Chinese
I was looking for any comments to see what the lyrics meant, haha! It does really sound real though.
3:44 - Every fucking time I hear it, I never seem to not totally well up. T_T
wish I could find a version without the singing, such a beautiful song otherwise
3:44
I'm crying :')
This one really grew on me. At fist I was like "The fuck?" but the more I listen to it, the more I appreciate the art style Blizzard and Russel Duke has chosen for this. It holds true to the fiction of the Pandarens.
And on the Pandaren starting Area on the Bride to the Stave Forest, down the Stairs in the Tower a pandaren sings it and another Pandaren tells the story of Liu Lang.
4:53
epic!
Yes, my friend. That closing part almost brings me to tears when I hear it :-)
That little echo of the Shado-Pan theme, it's like fucking... T-T

2021 love this Pandaren song 🐼☺️😌
"Panda has forgotten his home, Ye Hui dreams like her, who sleeps in the night, slightly drunk, wandering...
Which one belongs to the ancient embankment, the house is full of decay. Leaving Fengdu, bringing the wind together, forgetting home...
Suddenly looking back, remembering from the top of the cliff. Wandering home is for ideals, ideals..."
Taking from the Chinese Lyrics from another comment (Lovell Lo) and slamming them through Google Translate gives this for English.
Year after year and I'm still listening this epic masterpiece. It's so peacefull
Goosebumps everytime *FUCK*
10 out of 10 i will listen to it again
I’m Chinese and I ve heard people saying the language in this music is muchly based on Tibetan
4:55 yessss
Well, the song is supposed to be about the traveler, Liu Lang. He's the guy that founded the colony where playable pandaren come from.
Likely to be made up to avoid offending anyone.
So emotional. ugh, now I can't go play violent games or I'll feel bad for killing ppl.
its not chinese, its pandaren...or "made up". They made up some parts of the language just as they did with orchis and elvish, but if you were to translate it to english it would probably sound pretty weird x)
Nostalgia
this reminds me of something. I feel i have heard it.
Yes you have from here every day since it's release
2023 jamming to this toon while playing world of warcraft Dragon flight.
Chen Stormstout?
Sebastian Giraldo i think lorewalker cho
Sounds like Klingon to me.

Bought! Thank you x
Can it be heard somewhere une the game or is it just for the OST ? If so, where, when, why ?
This is brilliant.
Where can I download this song?

I believe you can hear it in the Wandering Isle when crossing that large bridge. An NPC will mention some Panda starting a lesson below, and there's a Panda signing this. You may have to wait for it to restart if you miss the beginning. it may be this one or a different one.

It can also be heard in the Wandering Isle. It is sung by a Loremaster while another Loremaster is telling the tale of Lui Lang.
It’s in mandarin
Is it real Chinese language or made for the game?
and on wandering isle at something under a brigde
it's also on the Wandering Isle starting zone when you're on the large bridge following Ji Firepaw, there's a downstairs room where a class is being held to discuss the history of the Wandering Isle itself as Shen-Zin Su the sea turtle that Liu Lang traveled the world upon as the first Pandaren explorer.
thanks :)
Badass
This not Chinese
It's Pandaren.
that is made up, neither cantonese or mandarin. and I don't like it... wow did a terrible job at spelling and pronunciations for MoP, music is good though.
It's probably Pandarian.
How did they did a terrible job at spelling and pronounciation if it is not Chinese and totally made up? Who decides what is good spelling if there is no real language like that?
@@cagatayegesahin2533 This guy knows what's up! :)
