Upgrade your water system mate you are bottlenecking your whole operation by running the standard pipes , T2 pipes and intake boosters will make that whole setup run like a dream and produce a lot more a lot quicker

I think replacing all the iron pipes with cloudium pipes will make the process quicker
It can also run bigger systems for less power shards/bars. As it has more base power and less loss over time. Once upon a time pressure = speed but I’m not sure if that fits anymore with the new system.

If u can afford T2 pipes do that, your speeds will increase from like 160 to 320 easy with boosters

Hey zOne! When placing the T2 Miners think chessboard: place your miners on one colour and have the pipes come from above. Yeah, you need extra conveyors and stuff but it allows you to make the most out of your patch. And it was said before: go all out on T2 pipes and boosters.
Cloutium pipes will increase your yield, probably your next step
You should put T pipes under the belts
Alternate the side the branch faces and use it to power the t2 drills
Thumbed up immediately for t2! Thanks to your videos I learnt that it was a good idea to move to icehelm. Had no clue you could dig out the walls. Thought that 7200 was for those tiny patches.

to put in the tier 2 drill you need to remove a convertor first... place the drill and then replace the convertor
You can dig that dirt out with explosives, but it's T3 dirt, so you can't drill there. I would recommend having your T2 drills as close to T3 dirt as you can to get more resources. Swapping to cloutium pipes should also more than double your output.
Tier 2 dirt doesn't have a higher chance of giving cloutium, but the ore chunks will be bigger.
The T2 chunks looked like they were a bit less than double the size of the T1 chunks, but it seems like you'd only be able to fit half as many T2 miners, so it doesn't seem like the upgrade actually nets you anything? If that's true, it would be a bit disapointing.
@@EpsilonRosePersonal T1 dirt yields ores between 1 and just over 3 pounds. T2 dirt is almost always between 3.5 and 5. Also, the addition of cloutium pipes makes everything go faster.
you should increase pressure in your pipes, it will make everything work like 2 times faster

@@Romil643 no, pressure doesnt effect the machines anymore, it used to in 1.7 and below but not in 2.0+ the only thing water pressure effects now is belts
@@Romil643 its been tested, having low water pressure into a machine compared to max pressure doesnt matter they are still the same speed
Z, you know that you can make same size nugget from T1 drills and harvesters as well?
On the first mine, just dig until bedrock and place the drills there (put some dirt below drills ofc), so the nuggets will come the same size of 4+ of weight. If you want to utilize the T2, place them right on the border with T3 dirt (deeper)

Z,
1. the deeper you place your miners, the bigger the size of the chunks they produce. So the most optimal setup is to have your T1 miners lined up just before it transitions to T2 dirt, then have your T2 miners lined up in the back just before the T3 dirt.
2. The probability of cloudium does not change regardless of miner tier or placement. So the only ways to increase your cloudium rate is to either increase the number of miners or increase the size of the chunks by using T2 miners at the deepest layer of T2 dirt.

To easy your life a little, in the room where you craft the tear 2 equipments, there are grids on both sides, where you can fall trough, with anything in hand, or you can drop things down, just click to place it, aim down until it shows under the grid and release. It's way better than you dropping on lava thing. 😉
if you pick up the pipe that has the conveyor infront of where you want your t2 drill to go, you should be able to place it easier.

I found a trick to move forged items faster into the floor below:
Get to a side of the giant forge, where there is a grid.
Look through the hole and go into the placing mode with the forged item.
Scoll it away as far as possible and drop it with "e" if it is placeable.
With this you won't have to jump down with the forged item.

Hi, you can set the drill t2 with the pipe on the left side of the main conveyor and use another conveyor that put the stuff again on the main conveyor belt so all the pipe's are aligned
Using the Construction Hammer will "lock" the building parts you use it on. That will keep you from accidentally grabbing something, like belts, pipes, machines...
Just set up a new mine for t2 stuff and let the t1 mine be a starter mine
Every person I've watched play the game has made the same mistake regarding the Tier 2 drills. Dev might want to consider tweaking that particular bit somehow.
The tier of dirt and the depth only impact the size/weight of the ore nuggets. To increase cloutium production, you need more drills.
Might want to start using the hammer to lock things in place so you don't accidentally pull a conveyor off the line again. lol
I suspect the densest arrangement for T2 miners might be based somewhat on a checkerboard. Have two pipes running above the miners, with the one in the back sending it's load onto a conveyor that connects to the main line.

if you use dynamite you can expose it but the tier 2 drills don't work on it

Use rubber mallet to fix the conveyors and pipes and all in place. it will remove interaction outline and in previous versions it also influenced performance.

Looks like the only thing to do before getting more T2 miners is to switch the T1 pipes to T2, for FASTER mining and conveyers.

Tier 2 dirt produces ore chunks that are almost always 5X the size of tier 1 dirt and ore
The dirt chunks keep you from placing the items.
Small hint, CONSTRUCTON HAMMER. ;D Will keep you from picking up the equipment.
Z if you put a three way pipe on a cover then you can put the miner in with less pipes
For T2 harvesters you gotta run all Cloutium piping... would also make your conveyor belts move faster

You really didn't have to wait. You only had 12 miners and iron pipes. All of which meant SLOW production rates. You could've ve had 24-36 miners and tier 2 pipes. Increasing produce rates massively!

Use Tier 2 Pickaxe & Tier 2 Shovel to dig further back. I prefer using the Keg of TnT and the Rake myself but you can go all the way back to Tier 3 Dirt.
He wouldn’t have been able to dig through tier 2 dirt at all if he hadn’t used tier 2 equipment. Further back it’s tier 3 dirt, which isn’t mineable yet and can only be “dug” by using the nukes. Not worth it atm for him as the proximity of the wall to his conveyors would turn them all into scrap metal if he used a nuke and he will not have a use for the T3 dirt at all

The only thing right now that increases cloutium returns is sheer volume of equipment. T2 equipment makes no difference. Chances are the same currently Also running t2 equipment on t1 pipes is not running them efficiently

Yeah, T2 miner placement is one of the many busted things in this game.

There hookup connections looks rather annoying. They make it less streamlined in function. Without improving functionality enough for the loss of extra space
