I used all mine all the time for airport hotels before a flight or "my sister's wedding". This is great value for me. I will never go to those other places and have no desire to, so how I use them is great value for me. Everyone has what they determine is great value. Sometimes it's not about the $$$. However, if you are going to those places, have at it. Just don't disparage those who get great value the other way.
We used our FNA certificates at a Hilton in Kauai. Saved us from having to purchase a room the last 2 nights in Hawaii. Till working in the best redemption for Hyatt 1-4 category certificates.
I wish you had a resource on which cards compliment each other…I have an Amex Platinum and want a Visa to compliment for when Amex isn’t taken, but would love guidance on which one was best
Is there a hotel brands cheat sheet resource available
Hyatt used to be my favorite but within the last year or so, I have found it nearly impossible to book reward stays. Hyatt never has any availability, it doesn’t matter if it’s off peak and 6 months out. Hyatt is still a great transfer partner for chase but their free night rewards are worthless at the moment. I am even finding it hard to book stays with points. I prefer Marriott and Hilton over Hyatt.
Does the FNA have to be used on a separate trip? If I book a hotel for 3 nights and my credit card gives me the 4th night free, can I get it free on the same room and trip to extend my stay?
Have u been able to use miles o. Cruise ships?
We recently booked a Virgin Voyages Mediterranean Cruise using miles & points. We have a video coming out about that later this summer, so stay tuned 😎🚢
It would be great to see a deep dive into how these are redeemed. I tried booking my free night at conrad bora bora but they told me that standard rooms are not available at the resort so I couldn't use my complimentary night
You're doing the right thing, it's just sold out. Keep checking daily, or change your dates
I earned 2 Hilton FNA last year from an elevated sign-up offer. Just got back from Waldorf Astoria Grand Wailea on Maui. AMAZING!
Hilton is definitely the best. I’ve stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Maldives using FNA
If u get the white Hilton card can u no use ur free night at like the bora bora location or since it is low tear card with no sign up cost u get a $2000 room?
Yes you can! That's what makes that card so powerful. Although you need to figure out how to pay for the other night there.
FNAs really sounds like f****** A and it had me laughing since I know @karaandnate would never cuss on @youtube 😂
can you sell someone your free Hilton night reward?
Sure, but you run the risk of your account getting shut down. Pretty sure they can track who initially earned the FNA
I used my Hilton Aspire FNA at Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. The standard redemption rate was 120k per night for either a beach villa or sunrise over the water villa. Needless to say, I used the FNA and my points for the over water villa. And I’m pretty sure they upgraded me to the sunset water villa.
Interesting that you picked Marriott as the "best" as I found it the worst in terms of points system. Yes the SUB and welcome offers are great, but after that it's very limiting.
