1st strap shown is illegal. You'll get a ticket for that one. Throw it away. No straps on the outside of the rub rail. That's why they call it a rub rail. 3 straps instead of 2 on your bundles. Always think if one fails, there will be two still holding the load. Always turn straps 1/2 turn before going over the load and coming down to the anchor or you will wear out your straps fast. The wind vibrates them goin down the highway. Use strap protectors every chance you get. They can be plastic or pieces of carpet, old mudflap. Cheap insurance. Check straps often. I once was goin down the road and saw a strap layin on the road. Another mile, another strap. Another mile down the road and saw a trucker pulled over with 1/2 his load layin on the side of the road. Check your straps for tightness every chance you get.
Oby-1 I do not like the idea of storing the straps on the winches , you have to throw the hook and someone can get get hurt easily or breaking something that is close by.
Only 2 straps per bundle isn't legal, because you don't have a bulkhead you need 3 on front stack and because the 2nd stack isn't touching the 1st bundle you need 3 on that too..
If I can give you any advice it will be this, when hauling something that is too heavy and you get to the job or wherever it’s going. Always make sure they hook their rigging up to it first before unchaining. This way if it tips over they have a hold of it. I had a 30,000lbs counterweight tip over on me yesterday and almost killed him.
Just remember. . If you got no bulk head and that shit comes loose under harsh braking, that load is coming through the truck and you ! So always put an extra strap. Good luck buddy
Also the load should have 3 straps each... 1 stral every 10 ft if there's no bulk head then an extra steal is need since both stacks are not back to back they both needed 3 straps
@@shanecreager433 I'm not trying to tell anyone how to do their job but when I was a rookie some helped me out I just paying it forward that's what the real trucker brotherhood is about
U Festen to work harder than you ever have your entire life buddy. I’m flatbed. But the upside is you could also make more money than u ever have once you get the hang of it.

2 straps in the first 4ft of load. 2 straps in the last 4ft.
First bundle 3 straps total.
2nd bundle 3 straps total.
DOT DOESN'T ALWAYS GO ON WEIGHT.
Straps need to be inside the rub rail on both sides
No they don’t
I always put my timbers on top of screws on the deck, that way you're on top of the trailer beams.

Step deck is good because you can do regular flat bed loads and haul small equipment.
That's right keeping things moving forward like a BOSS and getting that 💰💰💰💰💰 and keeping it 💯💯👊👊👊💪💪💪
True he has kept it 💯
