absolutely! i made this one by myself and looking that i constantly think "how is he able to make such a details cos they r so small!" he s a true master, he has very good imagination and patience.
i usually work on 1/72 scale models there really small but i really like it you can buy a lot op pe sets, metal gun barrels, accecories the newer one are really accurate and best of all they dont take up too much space but i do also model in 1/35 and 1/1444
@@sergeykuchkov2887 you should see night shift his armour models are even better than plasmo´s hes amazing in armour models and his paint jobs are also amazing, if you like plasmo i feel like you will absolutely love him
My favorite modeling channel by far! You've got the perfect recipe of tips, camera angles, music, pace, dos, don'ts, length, subjects... The hand painted stripes and numbers put this one over the top.
Great work, it fits perfect on the diorama you built for your T-34/85. Btw, this vid was perfectly timed because I ordered a trumpeter 1:72 is-7 and this will give me a lot of inspiration.👍👍👍
Thats a great little kit, small part count, but really detailed and well molded. Its a great superdetail subject. Also good for learning this paint technique.
5:40 I think you meant it the other way round. :P But still great job as always, you are still my favorite scale modeling youtuber out there and very pleasant to watch. Thank you!
In my mind Zvezda models were cheap plastic models even cheaper than the old Lodela models made in Mexico back in the 80's/90's which I had de pleasure to build back in the day. Amazing job as always! Cheers!
Your videos have given me the confidence to ONCE AGAIN attempt plastic models. I've given up trying to make them look as good as yours and I'm just trying to enjoy the experience. Thank you for the inspiration. More TINY airplanes, please!
Man you are genius. I have this kit and my plans are nowhere near as complicated as yours. About model: only few of is2 tanks has cast nose detail. All other hull parts were from rolled steel including nose details in most tanks.
Далеко не многие, шиповое угловатое соединение было у УЗТМ, а они не были лидерами по количеству произведенных исов. У завода 200 нос литой и скругленный. На тигровом угле есть подробный разбор внешки исов
Amazing as always! Thank you for all your content that has taught me so many new and better techniques over the years. You have stepped my modelling up a lot. Cheers.
I got a special connection to this kit because it was the first one I built on my own channel. Actually I made a whole tutorial-series about the built und tried my very best to get an impressive result. No need to mention that my kit did'nt turn out half as good as yours. I really need to spend more time for modifications as I mostly build out of the box.
Brilliant start to the week. And when you said "A few minor modifications." I think come on a few minor mods? But all joke aside the end result is great keep up the great work.
@Johann trompat I have been following plasimo for a while and if you see his older videos on larger kits you'll understand what meant. Being a mature modeller myself watching his videos has shown me a few new tricks.
@Raven1wing1 @EP It's a joke about ''A few minor modifications''. For me, It's a very Big modifications. I'm amazed by this work. I am 10 000 levels under. For me, It's a crazy work. When, I understand ''A few modification'', I choke, I'm sur down, close thé ligth, take pop-corn et admire thé show.
@Johanne trompat I have been doing this hobby for almost 45 years. And with modelling it is always a learning curve. If any modeller says " there is nothing you can teach me about the hobby." Is easily over confident or has no idea. The use of PTFE plumbing tape is a stroke of genius. I would never have thought would work as a 1:72 scale tarpaulin.
What you do from a less than 10€'s model is just fantastic... You are a magician... Please do not hesitate to comment your videos with tools / paint references, tips and so on. Thank you ! 🙏
NICE ONE !I did this one decade ago, customized a lot too ( fenders, meshed covers, metal gun barrels all materials strictly scavenged ) And track had to be tied down by very thin wire as none of my countless glues reacted kindly when I tested for incompatibility.
Love the idea of the thinned out putty to make the armor texture, I'll definitely have to try that with the IS-2 and T-34-85 for the scene I'll be creating!
I especially like the logs for getting out of the mud. Many people don’t know what they were for and seeing them added is a great touch on Russian tanks.
Good stuff as always David. However, the IS-2 turret front was bolted to the main casting with an internal flange. It definitely wasn’t welded on because removing it was how the main armament was changed. Don’t feel bad about this - I saw exactly the same by a modeller who is very knowledgeable about Soviet armour so it can happen to anyone!
15:41 Spare fuel tanks were used only for fuel. Oil(that you wrote on it) was never stored in them simply because it could lead to damage of these liquids from mixing - logic. Just a little mistake, in general the model is awesome👍
Excellent model! It shows that with some elbow grease you can create stunning results with a seemingly simple kit. The way the tracks were attached was very clever. Should be standard on that type of track in this scale! More gentleman's scale builds, please!

You have some super thick Teflon tape! I’ve never seen Teflon tape that thick in the US. Yours almost looks as thick as a stick of chewing gum! Well done kit. I’m glad you were able to finally get one to completion.
When you said “A few minor modifications” I knew they would be a lot of them😂. Great vid as always though!

For the IS-2, several variants of the upper frontal part of the hull were made. In the photo - one of these, "Zvezda" made a different version.
One of my favourite 1/72 WW2 Soviet tank kits. I built & completed 2 of them.

This looks amazing, more details painted than I have seen on a lot of the larger kits. Great work.
I like this one, just shows what you can creatively achieve with a basic kit!

Beautiful model David. Superb work. Love the plumbers tape solution to tarps. Will be trying that out on my next model.
*The last fight in Berlin, the IS-2 is really an icon of the end of the WW2! Very realistic model PLASMO!*
Thank you very much. This video proved to me that you don't have to dry brush the living crap out of a model to make it look realistic.
Was about to make a comment about nearly "chrome-ish" road wheels aspect since they are metal on metal tracks !
