Greetings. Thank you for creating this service. Looks like fun. Couple of questions. 1. How is the camera control error handling executed between remote and local access? 2. How is security handled to prevent unauthorized access? 2FA?
Hi Byron, the first question is an interesting one. We aim to resolve all errors by using dedicated drivers for each camera. If there is an error it will show up in the notification area. Yes, we do support 2FA to prevent unauthorized access
@@PTZOptics Thank you. Let me ask the question slightly differently. Does the service/agent have the ability to detect that the PTZ is being controlled locally and defer as needed? I know that sometimes my Marshall PTZ cameras lock up when I send too many commands in quick succession.
@@PTZOptics Thanks again. Let me rephrase my first question. Does the agent/service detect that the camera is in operation locally and prevent the remote user from accessing it?
Okay, this may be solved by roles. There will be a hierarchy of roles, such as producer (who get control first) and camera operator (who gets control if the producer doesn’t already have that camera selected).
I never talk prices, mainly because they could change based on when someone watches the video. I’m not sure if they will have introductory pricing but the website to reference is ptzoptics.com/hive/
@@sammesilas2617 these cameras are definitely not high in price. Unfortunately as these budget PTZ cameras have come on the market, people seem to think those prices represent the overall market price which isn’t correct. If you’re considering now a webcam, I would have to question your use case because PTZ cameras and webcams serve 2 completely different purposes.

@@MonteWeaverofficial Thank you. I just checked them out through the link you shared. The cameras are high in price. Is the Webcam PTZ as well?
