Note making , revision and studying only few excellent books is important.
I will like to add one point here. Study only a portion of the syllabus not complete syllabus. Study less but study in depth.

This one of my old posts which might help you -
I qualified CSIR-JRF Life sciences Dec 2019 in the 4th year of my B.Tech (1st try) with rank - 45 and GATE Biotechnology 2020 with air - 33. I am making this comment before having watched the video to avoid any bias in my statement. In my personal experience the most important thing for qualifying JRF or GATE with a good rank is learning the subject properly from good professors. Do not try to seek easy marks or lenient professors. I always tried to choose difficult but important subjects and good professors. And always went to them atleast couple of times a month to clear my doubts. The good professors tend to be strict so your % or CGPA will definitely take a hit and you will also get less free time because of the pressure but in the end it's worth it. In my batch there are 20-30 students atleast with more gpa than me but none qualified JRF. Because of my habit of taking difficult professors, I didn't have prepare for JRF separately.
Another thing that helped me out a lot are the kind of videos Shomu's Biology posts on UA-cam, they are very good for getting basic understanding of any topic in less time. Also one specific video that was very helpful was one where Shomu explained the number questions we need to attempt to get qualification marks in CSIR-JRF. The link to the video is below -

This watching this video the night before exam allowed me to avoid unnecessary negative marks.
Edit - This is not promotion for Shomu's 😂
Any good and free online resource is fine
Ma'am here are some questions I want to know the answers from you....
1)To get a seat into IIT like institute what rank should I secure in CSIR NET?
2) Some teachers says that GATE is not that much important for doing Ph.D for the students of lifescience background . So should a student from lifescience background be appear for NET or GATE ?
3) The prestigious universities and IITs take students by observing NET or GATE rank?
For point 1, if you have qualified JRF, after that rank doesn't matter much your performance in the interview is important. For example, My CSIR JRF rank is 45 I gave the exam in Dec2019. I got selected in IISc, IIT kanpur, IIT Guwahati and some CSIR labs also but I was not selected in IIT Bombay, because my interview in IIT Bombay went badly.
For point 2, It is certainly easier to get selected if you are a JRF as compared to GATE, since JRF stipend is centrally funded unlike GATE. But If you want to apply for PhD through GATE then its preferable to get within AIR-100. I got AIR-33 in GATE Biotechnology 2020. So I didn't face much problem but my friend who got AIR of 250 wasn't getting calls for interview from all the colleges she applied to.
For Point 3, They call for interview on the basis of JRF qualification or GATE score (usually they call students with GATE score above 600-650 out of 1000 sometimes even as high as 750 is the cutoff. The bio science dept of IITB had a GATE score cutoff of 750 this year) but to qualify for PhD you need to perform well in the interview. In the interview your rank or score doesn't matter.
I hope i answered your doubt, if you need further clarification you can reply to me.
@@subhrodeepsaha9245 Thank you so much for the reply. Can I ask you where you are doing your research right now?

Yes, if you have less time. In addition you can also use free online UA-cam videos to clear doubts.

@@subhrodeepsaha9245 thank you sir. I didn't start preparation. Nearly I have 2 months time for exam. How can clear atleast net. Not jrf. Please sir tell me
@@swathiswathi6508 With such little time, the pathfinder life sciences books and practicing question papers upto 10 years are the only way. For LS in general category cutoff is usually around 90. That much is possible with pathfinder and question paper practice easily. Also answer the minimum amount of questions possible but answer them correctly to avoid unnecessary negative marks. Don't take unnecessary risk by answering questions whose answers you are not sure.
@@subhrodeepsaha9245 okay sir thank you so much.
