Thank you so much for making this video. After driving around for 3 years with an ice cream stick wedged in the side of the switch to stop the flashing, I finally bought the part from Rock Auto for $32.79. ( STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS HZS149 {#56010158AC, 56010158AD} With my son's help to pull the switch out, I just completed the install on my 2003 Jeep Liberty. You both saved me $167.22 Much appreciated!
OK people don't buy a new switch take the old one out per video depress the 4 tabs and remove cover from switch locate the black device on top of circuit board same side as switch push in button. On that black device is a little thumbnail looking cut out . Depress it with a ball point pen or something. That is the reset button for hazard switch witch controls the turn signals too . Save yourself the 70 bucks it's easy .you won't break it hell your replacing it anyways reassemble it's 200 percent a good fix. It's a tiny reset button. Your welcom.

I stopped at my local automobile junkyard today and picked this hazard light switch relay (took about 30 mins to locate and uninstall, good practice for when I work on my liberty) just got done swapping it out and it fixed my non-working left blinker and I'm super stoked !! And it only cost me 10 bucks, your video made it happen, Thanks Alot !!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and demonstration. Ordered one for my daughter 06 liberty. Blonkers and hazards keep blowing a fuse. I suspect this to be the problematic will soon change the flasher module soon. Ordered this from parts geek $58.
Great video! I took the switch apart and on a chance touched a soldering iron to each of the prongs that pass through the circuit board for the switch and the flasher relays. It works fine now for nothing more than a little time.
Because of this video and your comment I just fixed my no left turn signal problem for no money. The video showed me the flasher was the problem and your comment told me to try resoldering the connections. Thanks to you both. Very helpful video.
Thanks for the info. I had a none working left turn signal. Also the green left turn arrow indicator on the dash did not light up. I saw your video and ordered a flasher relay from Amozon. I changed the flasher relay and it fixed the problem. The turn signal and green dash arrow now work. Thank you

BTW Auto zone says they don't carry part. Advanced auto in Ashville NC says they don't make this part anymore... however O'Reilly auto can order this part we got and it works... I changed wife's KJ to LED turn signal (3 wire) also installed resistors to fix hyperflash but now the hazard light indicator stays on the dashboard when headlights are turned on and hyperflash are back. What could possibly cause this? Could it be Marker lights connected to headlight switch or low wattage of resistors?

Ik it's the same part, I think it's similar procedure but on the 03 the screw is in more of an inconvenient place. About to find out for myself in the next few days
If your 04 jeep liberty is any thing like my 06 liberty then it's most likely the hazard relay this is all one unit that runs the hazards and the turn signals.
I have an 03 Liberty and it's likely mine has the same problem. When I googled the part it said 2002-2007 so I think it should be similar to what he showed in the video.
Can anyone tell me what would be the issue if you got your brake light changed. But now the like only come on when you push the brakes. Also the dashboard likes only come on when you smash on brakes.. Other then that I am riding with no tail light or dashboard lights... Help please
check the brake light switch attached to the top of the brake pedal under the dash, make sure it's still in place. be careful not to remove it unless you can replace it yourself.
I think mine shorted out bc it blew the fuse for it so I was going to take the stwich out and put a fuse back in and see if it blows and if not then am going to the junk yard and get one for 10.00 lol......I would rather spend 10.00 then spend 92.99 plus tax at dealer I can get it for 33.00 for rockauto
can anyone tell me where the "headlight on reminder" switch/relay might be? dome light won't come on when driver door is opened and headlight on reminder not signaling when door is open. dome light comes on when other doors are opened. tone emits when key in ignition and turned to accessory. books, forums, and jeep service/parts center haven't been any help.
It sounds like your door switch is not working. I have seen this on my wife's jeep what I did to fix it was spray the switch with WD-40 and close and open the door repeatedly you may have to spray the switch more than once. just try to work the WD-40 into the switch. The driver door is used the most and it gets sand in it. If this don't work then you may have to get another switch.

No. If you look it up on Google images it shows it in the fuse box under the hood.
How tf did you get the Flasher button to go back into place

if you had the whole tale light changed then the wiring could have got crossed. other than that you might want to have that checked out
