If contacts can be done in Duo or trio, and count for each other so 10 are done in same time for example if 2 players do it together in same time, party and area, or 15 for 3 players, might help make it more of group activity and less time consuming.

Papers for scrolls mean nothing when you max out your skills, the amount of stones you get are worthless after you reach a certain amount because you won't ever be using that many (even with the new mastery system, unless you are a bran new player) and you have a low chance of getting the pouches for contracts. I rather clear 60 contracts in 5 minutes than clear 60 contracts in 30 minutes having to go back and forth collecting 5 at a time for basically scraps.
the game isn't "almost" dead, ur following a trend that everyone is speaking about. The game has a lot of good open world pvp still and siege is still alive. Stop spreading to propaganda lol. ANY kind of unconsensual open-world pvp like the one you're talking about randomly spawning on players is bad for player experience. People do contracts because they need to grind contract tokens and loot, they don't need the extra friction of having to deal with potential ganks while they're doing it.
They should mark an area of the map for a pvp contract zones but put them all in a rotation that changes every hour. That way we can go back to lower level areas of the map which are basically ghost towns. The contracts should just be bosses or elites, so that way people gotta fight over them.
I fully agree! we don't need a 1v1 but not to have more mega zerg alliances. I would like the introduction of both guild and personal PVP contracts that can be done in groups. It would be great large pvp area open in the evening with castles to siege and dynamic pvp events. Don't force people to lock themselves in pve instances like dimensionals to advance, those who can only play in the evening shouldn't be forced to choose between having fun in pvp or farming equipment.
Regards to the instanced world bosses, i think Blue's idea is really good, but the one that they are implementing it will all depend of how the match making will be made and its criterias! obviously having no allys and have proper open world pvp is awesome, but there will always have allys made even non formal

Blue has an interesting take on the reason for burnout in this game. I completely agree with his analysis that there are simply too many scheduled events sprinkled throughout the game that make people *feel* like they need to attend/do them all or else they fall behind. So it's understandable that his response to every suggestion that starts "They should add X" is met with an adamant "no". However, I think it's worth keeping in mind that one of the reasons we're seeing so much burnout is because it's *technically* feasible to make it to all these events. Even though it requires a NEET schedule, it IS possible. The alternative to simply reducing the number of events is to ironically do the opposite and MASSIVELY increase the amount of "events" (black desert sorta turned into this with just a TON of things to do that you couldn't realistically do it all, so you had to pick and choose... until they just started making the newest content infinitely better and blasted 90% of their old content into irrelevancy, but I digress). Would be interested to hear what his thoughts are on this take instead. And if still not convinced, more events could simply be rotated into existing "timeslots". All this said, I think the biggest W take is simply that content should be natural and not scheduled (i.e. like his rare boss spawn while doing contracts example).
Your contract idea wouldn’t work. Cuz the mega alliance will just control them. Everything starts with getting rid of alliances cuz they ruin pvp and also friendships.
Don't play TnL, but when I hear about these huge alliance sizes I think of a few things; faster degradation of a competitive environment, gatekeeping, followed by the eventual and inevitable, prematurely induced boredom.
What they should do is simply: - Remove open world dungeon tokens at all and reduce droprate in open world dungeons - Make new masteries super grindy and possible to grind in the open world dungeons(high xp rate) and the regular open world(low xp rate) - Add possibility to start a war with another guild which will enable open world pvp with that guild everywhere in the world, which means - fight for best spots to grind masteries - Add some other longterm and not limited by tokens goals worth of grinding in the open world besides masteries
1 guild content = bosses will not die and we go back to mid november behavior on servers with massive allainces (this happened to me 3 times, we had 5 alliances of 200+ ppl and bosses would not die for 1+ hour and just despawn), additionally, 95% of the strongest guilds will need only SNS + insert something here since you need to not die to 50 000 people , which will create a destruction of classes as it will also create some of the worst gatekeeping in the genre
100% Running Rebellion and having to worry about alliance with things being crap and so many snakes and rats on the game making it even more difficult is a nightmare. Half my issue was needing to find an additional 2 other guilds for an alliance. Your members don't care the effort that goes into it even if you win, and most people have 0 politics ability and take politics or propaganda way too serious. TnL systems and player base is not complex enough or those kinds of politics with the top ranked guilds zerging together and top players trying to just be in the "winning" guilds. There is no motivation from most people to have any kind of pride in your guild and accomplishing it yourself. Most people want the easy hand out, win, and make "money" without competition. Legit is like running a irl job with running a guild with 0 reward most the time. To the point where you stop when you realize its not worth it.
Why do you expect that GvG boss fights will always be 1v1 between the same guilds? Sometimes you will face a weak guild and sometimes a strong one, depends on matchmaking. Sometimes you will win, sometimes you will lose. All of the Nebula Island bosses will still be mass PvP bosses so it will be mass PvP and GvG content for you to choose at the same time in stand of mass PvP content only.
To add to or offer a different idea on the flag system, i think there should be a voluntary flag system where if you flag you can attack other flagged players at any moment outside of cities, penalize deaths like other mmos have, ie 1 gear piece dropping on death/ or karma loss on death and karma gain on kill, higher karma gives a loot buff or some kind of benefit
I'm convinced that people making these F'in games have no idea what it's like to actually play them. Just make 50 man guilds, conflict WB should be GvG no BS alliances.
Remove Alliances: 100% Agree Fewer Conflict Bosses: 100% Disagree. The best Conflict Bosses I've been to were where the top guilds were NOT there due to odd hours or them being at other events. By having more conflict bosses, you give smaller guilds MORE chances of finding a conflict boss where the top guilds aren't there. This makes it exciting to go to these conflict bosses - you don't know who will show up. If you only have 2 conflict bosses per day, absolutely the top guilds WILL show up. It will remove opportunities for smaller guilds to find a conflict boss that they can compete in.
I had to laugh at the open world pvp contract idea for a new player experience to pvp. You know what is the new player experience in an established pvp game? Get one shot ganked. These games usually spiral down in playerbase. They are already having to consolidate servers. Unless they normalize certain modes for pvp, it is 99.9 percent gonna turn away most players from the game. To those who like the game, good, enjoy it, but there is a reason why most games end up getting rid of open world pvp auto flagging. The game is not friendly to new players and burning out older players. Who wants to play a game where you are gated constantly because unless you want to zerg with your guild/alliance, you literally cannot do content. The biggest problem with your field boss random spawn is that people and guilds are gonna start camping contract areas to shit on single players. A way to avoid this is limit the random boss to a max of 6 people and no more than 1 or 2 people per guild
Yes, 100 percent agree. The experience of a streamer to a regular player is mind boggling. Do people really think that in a game that has been out for this long that a new player wont get instant ganked in these situations? That new player will probably just say, nah, this sucks, bye.

Pvp is ok where it is in terms of where it is available. Only happens for 30 minutes during night time and conflict bosses and during blood moons. If you don't wanna do pvp on open dungeons just do go during night and just farm coop. Not hard. Also mentions it's bad because you can get dog piled and proceeds to name a "solution" that can result in getting shit on in content that isn't even pvp to begin with. Contracts do needd to be fix and be more engaging. But this ain't it lol. We don't need open Pvp everywhere in the world for all content.

I understand though that they are catering to the 1 percent pretty much, but gate keeping more in a game that quite frankly is kinda dying is not viable for long term which he ironically points out with Guild v Guild. I understand the perspective though, he obviously plays a different segment of the game where he can dedicate time to guilds and grind etc... Was hoping for some nice changes when I saw this on my feed, but I am glad my friends and I quit when we saw the writing on the wall.

i dont see a problem with instanced GvG bosses....ESPECIALLY for smaller guilds. where they could barely make it to the boss before dying, at least now they have a fighting chance
I’ll tell you what’s the best pvp scenario this and to make it fun. have played wow, bdo, ffxiv and warhammer. You guy’s already know it’s simple even elementary my dear. Those games we mentioned didn’t have mega alliances and it’s well balanced, it was fun 1-4. hours of pvping. You guy’s make it way more harder for a casual way to pvping and it’s boring.
There's nothing to ruing about conflict bosses. it was already bad. There's most likely more content being prepared for Large scale pvp. But conflict was so random, so 1 sided, most of the server wasen't showing anyways. i think it's the best compromise between keeping the alliance system for future content and making conflict bosses relevant.

honestly this game is almost dead and the changes they will eventually make about the zerg factor are way too late now. The eclipse abuse and gatekeeping with with big player numbers ruined the game for most of the casualy player, which are the biggest player numbers. To the players who used all those mechanics to their advantage to farm kills for the ranking and gatekeeping at the start, you can congratz yourself, you probably pushed out 50% of the player base out of the game and made them quit.
Now they have nobody to fight or play with, reap what you sow 😂. I knew day 1 this was going to happen, ags has a terrible track record, they did it to new world when I played that at launch too.

I'll start by saying that I agree with breaking alliances, but there's a lot being missed here. On my server, the top guild did not even need an alliance to control the world bosses most of the time. The issue is that every one of those smaller guilds you imagine will show up to contest the singular big guild... those guilds aren't allied either, they can't differentiate the other small guilds from the big guild. They aren't grouping up to take down the big guy, they are in a huge clusterf*ck and most of the time they are killing other lower guilds because those are the people they can actually kill. The top guild never had any competition, the targeting system prohibits your idea from working the way you seem to imagine it would. Making them 1v1 at least alleviates the targeting issues -- you know who the enemy is because there's only one enemy group, not 5 that you are trying to differentiate between. Otherwise it doesn't feel like 30 v 30 v 30 v 60 like you claim, it just feels like 30 v 200+ and it's just a complete mess. If they want the world pvp to thrive it still needs to be structured, 1v1 at least has potential to work if they can keep the fights a little more balanced. If you're in a smaller or weaker guild, the idea of having a chance and fighting one guild near your power level sounds so much better than vying against a ton of other guilds or a big alliance. It's not necessarily the change I would make, but it still sounds like a big improvement to me. I really enjoy Blue as a content creator but constantly trying to change TNL into the version of BDO he loved most is not the way forward at all. I understand a lot of people didn't like the changes BDO made just before TNL came out, but the devs were also making changes for a reason. The changes may not have been the right ones, but the point is that the devs knew their game was littered with flaws and they knew they needed to change it. You can't try to tell TNL that its path to success is to become a past version of BDO or that they should go take notes from a game that was dying (even before the devs made changes to kill it quicker).
i think they should make world bosses gvg, but make it 10 guild free for all, not a 1v1, that way alliances cant zerg and smaller guilds still have a chance to get some loot
I agree with you on field bosses to dismantle alliance, can't agree on Siege, on an active server it's an alliance against 2-4 alliances, so 200 vs 400-800, I really can't imagine to make it defendable.

I'm in my 30s and i still love grindy pvp mmos T&L did alot right, the game just needs some work and could last much longer if they focus on balancing but if they dont fix alliances the game will continue to die.

The problem is that what you’re describing as the problem are all of the built in incentives for people to pay for power instead of indulge in the endless grind - if they fix it, it’s too easy to f2p right up the level of the whales and I don’t think those incentives will ever be given up. In a perfect world, there is no pay for power in this game and they are able to give much more rewarding drops/rewards and exciting content for the more mundane, daily tasks. Until then, they know that the people who want it most will simply pay for it and I don’t think they truly care if the game dies - you can look at their track record, they have a history of making flash in the pan cash grab pay for power games. It’s sad when you consider that this game really is pretty awesome at its foundation

The upcoming mastery system is going to make me quit probably. The rune grind is bad. Class balance is bad. Melee evasion is broken. PVP boss changes are meaningless. Alliances are bad. Them continuing to change the timing on stuff is bad.
If you ADD A QUEUE system for guilds to participate in that is a great idea. If you REMOVE the current conflict bosses you are screwing your players and your pvp. Why not have both? Let's add new systems and not remove old ones that people enjoy.

Why not gw2? The WvW used to be so good in guild wars 2, the arenas are decent and you never needed to grind you just play the game. Theres only 1 problem w guild wars 2 in my opinion and thats the down state, it means you lose if they have numbers because they can get rezzed over and over while doing dmg on the ground dead.

Our server pvp is asz at the moment all it is pretty much all tanks gs,healer,staff currently ranged feels useless rn as well as magic and ranged Eva cuz all that'll happen is 10 gs stun gank by a whole guild. Magic Eva is completely useless around 2500 yet still get hit regardless all because of one staff skill aside from all that players exploiting multiple class bugs just a all around sht show
85% of servers are dominated by 1 alliance made up of guilds 1-4. Yeah, changing alliance system would help, but making world bosses 1v1 means those guilds can't just zerg. 1v1 World Bosses is a W, and I feel like your tournament proves that guilds want this.

Ive done 800 hours in less than 4 weeks, the absolute nothingness of a reason to keep going is what killed the game, plus 1000 more reasons. But the gameplay is just mid. Clunky, mobile like, etc etc.. It would always be a 1 month game for most people

If you do cooking contracts you can wipe 60 in 5 minutes. Doing 10 cooking contracts in 1 day takes no time at all.

Console players do not want keyboard and mouse. That want a fixed targeting system while using a controller

Your contract idea wouldn’t work. Cuz the mega alliance will just control them. Everything starts with getting rid of alliances cuz they ruin pvp and also friendships.
Don't play TnL, but when I hear about these huge alliance sizes I think of a few things; faster degradation of a competitive environment, gatekeeping, followed by the eventual and inevitable, prematurely induced boredom.

What they should do is simply:
- Remove open world dungeon tokens at all and reduce droprate in open world dungeons
- Make new masteries super grindy and possible to grind in the open world dungeons(high xp rate) and the regular open world(low xp rate)
- Add possibility to start a war with another guild which will enable open world pvp with that guild everywhere in the world, which means - fight for best spots to grind masteries
- Add some other longterm and not limited by tokens goals worth of grinding in the open world besides masteries

1 guild content = bosses will not die and we go back to mid november behavior on servers with massive allainces (this happened to me 3 times, we had 5 alliances of 200+ ppl and bosses would not die for 1+ hour and just despawn), additionally, 95% of the strongest guilds will need only SNS + insert something here since you need to not die to 50 000 people , which will create a destruction of classes as it will also create some of the worst gatekeeping in the genre
100% Running Rebellion and having to worry about alliance with things being crap and so many snakes and rats on the game making it even more difficult is a nightmare. Half my issue was needing to find an additional 2 other guilds for an alliance. Your members don't care the effort that goes into it even if you win, and most people have 0 politics ability and take politics or propaganda way too serious. TnL systems and player base is not complex enough or those kinds of politics with the top ranked guilds zerging together and top players trying to just be in the "winning" guilds.
There is no motivation from most people to have any kind of pride in your guild and accomplishing it yourself. Most people want the easy hand out, win, and make "money" without competition.
Legit is like running a irl job with running a guild with 0 reward most the time. To the point where you stop when you realize its not worth it.

Why do you expect that GvG boss fights will always be 1v1 between the same guilds? Sometimes you will face a weak guild and sometimes a strong one, depends on matchmaking. Sometimes you will win, sometimes you will lose. All of the Nebula Island bosses will still be mass PvP bosses so it will be mass PvP and GvG content for you to choose at the same time in stand of mass PvP content only.

To add to or offer a different idea on the flag system, i think there should be a voluntary flag system where if you flag you can attack other flagged players at any moment outside of cities, penalize deaths like other mmos have, ie 1 gear piece dropping on death/ or karma loss on death and karma gain on kill, higher karma gives a loot buff or some kind of benefit

The best Conflict Bosses I've been to were where the top guilds were NOT there due to odd hours or them being at other events. By having more conflict bosses, you give smaller guilds MORE chances of finding a conflict boss where the top guilds aren't there. This makes it exciting to go to these conflict bosses - you don't know who will show up. If you only have 2 conflict bosses per day, absolutely the top guilds WILL show up. It will remove opportunities for smaller guilds to find a conflict boss that they can compete in.
I had to laugh at the open world pvp contract idea for a new player experience to pvp. You know what is the new player experience in an established pvp game? Get one shot ganked. These games usually spiral down in playerbase. They are already having to consolidate servers. Unless they normalize certain modes for pvp, it is 99.9 percent gonna turn away most players from the game. To those who like the game, good, enjoy it, but there is a reason why most games end up getting rid of open world pvp auto flagging. The game is not friendly to new players and burning out older players. Who wants to play a game where you are gated constantly because unless you want to zerg with your guild/alliance, you literally cannot do content. What a mess, hope they fix it, but they wont anytime soon. GvG bosses? So out of touch.

The biggest problem with your field boss random spawn is that people and guilds are gonna start camping contract areas to shit on single players. A way to avoid this is limit the random boss to a max of 6 people and no more than 1 or 2 people per guild
Yes, 100 percent agree. The experience of a streamer to a regular player is mind boggling. Do people really think that in a game that has been out for this long that a new player wont get instant ganked in these situations? That new player will probably just say, nah, this sucks, bye.
@Retronomicon yeah. Quite frankly, he makes 2 valid points. Contracts are boring. Pvp is toxic sometimes. But combing the two is not the solution. Pvp is ok where it is in terms of where it is available. Only happens for 30 minutes during night time and conflict bosses and during blood moons. If you don't wanna do pvp on open dungeons just do go during night and just farm coop. Not hard.
Also mentions it's bad because you can get dog piled and proceeds to name a "solution" that can result in getting shit on in content that isn't even pvp to begin with. Contracts do needd to be fix and be more engaging. But this ain't it lol. We don't need open Pvp everywhere in the world for all content.

I understand though that they are catering to the 1 percent pretty much, but gate keeping more in a game that quite frankly is kinda dying is not viable for long term which he ironically points out with Guild v Guild. I understand the perspective though, he obviously plays a different segment of the game where he can dedicate time to guilds and grind etc... Was hoping for some nice changes when I saw this on my feed, but I am glad my friends and I quit when we saw the writing on the wall.

Those games we mentioned didn’t have mega alliances and it’s well balanced, it was fun 1-4. hours of pvping.

There's most likely more content being prepared for Large scale pvp. But conflict was so random, so 1 sided, most of the server wasen't showing anyways.

honestly this game is almost dead and the changes they will eventually make about the zerg factor are way too late now. The eclipse abuse and gatekeeping with with big player numbers ruined the game for most of the casualy player, which are the biggest player numbers. To the players who used all those mechanics to their advantage to farm kills for the ranking and gatekeeping at the start, you can congratz yourself, you probably pushed out 50% of the player base out of the game and made them quit.

I'll start by saying that I agree with breaking alliances, but there's a lot being missed here. On my server, the top guild did not even need an alliance to control the world bosses most of the time. The issue is that every one of those smaller guilds you imagine will show up to contest the singular big guild... those guilds aren't allied either, they can't differentiate the other small guilds from the big guild. They aren't grouping up to take down the big guy, they are in a huge clusterf*ck and most of the time they are killing other lower guilds because those are the people they can actually kill. The top guild never had any competition, the targeting system prohibits your idea from working the way you seem to imagine it would. Making them 1v1 at least alleviates the targeting issues -- you know who the enemy is because there's only one enemy group, not 5 that you are trying to differentiate between. Otherwise it doesn't feel like 30 v 30 v 30 v 60 like you claim, it just feels like 30 v 200+ and it's just a complete mess. If they want the world pvp to thrive it still needs to be structured, 1v1 at least has potential to work if they can keep the fights a little more balanced. If you're in a smaller or weaker guild, the idea of having a chance and fighting one guild near your power level sounds so much better than vying against a ton of other guilds or a big alliance. It's not necessarily the change I would make, but it still sounds like a big improvement to me.
I really enjoy Blue as a content creator but constantly trying to change TNL into the version of BDO he loved most is not the way forward at all. I understand a lot of people didn't like the changes BDO made just before TNL came out, but the devs were also making changes for a reason. The changes may not have been the right ones, but the point is that the devs knew their game was littered with flaws and they knew they needed to change it. You can't try to tell TNL that its path to success is to become a past version of BDO or that they should go take notes from a game that was dying (even before the devs made changes to kill it quicker).
i think they should make world bosses gvg, but make it 10 guild free for all, not a 1v1, that way alliances cant zerg and smaller guilds still have a chance to get some loot
I agree with you on field bosses to dismantle alliance, can't agree on Siege, on an active server it's an alliance against 2-4 alliances, so 200 vs 400-800, I really can't imagine to make it defendable.

I'm in my 30s and i still love grindy pvp mmos T&L did alot right, the game just needs some work and could last much longer if they focus on balancing but if they dont fix alliances the game will continue to die.
Just because we're getting older doesn't mean every single game has to have the same PVE layout. You actually don't have that many PVP orientated mmorpgs because too many had a heart attack entertaining the thought of it.

They're not into recoding and programming a game that's already done. They just want to ask KR for the code and their "devs" work on localization and cleaning. The problem is that what you’re describing as the problem are all of the built in incentives for people to pay for power instead of indulge in the endless grind - if they fix it, it’s too easy to f2p right up the level of the whales and I don’t think those incentives will ever be given up. In a perfect world, there is no pay for power in this game and they are able to give much more rewarding drops/rewards and exciting content for the more mundane, daily tasks. Until then, they know that the people who want it most will simply pay for it and I don’t think they truly care if the game dies - you can look at their track record, they have a history of making flash in the pan cash grab pay for power games. It’s sad when you consider that this game really is pretty awesome at its foundation

The upcoming mastery system is going to make me quit probably. The rune grind is bad. Class balance is bad. Melee evasion is broken. PVP boss changes are meaningless. Alliances are bad. Them continuing to change the timing on stuff is bad.

If you ADD A QUEUE system for guilds to participate in that is a great idea.

Why not gw2? The WvW used to be so good in guild wars 2, the arenas are decent and you never needed to grind you just play the game. Theres only 1 problem w guild wars 2 in my opinion and thats the down state, it means you lose if they have numbers because they can get rezzed over and over while doing dmg on the ground dead.

Our server pvp is asz at the moment all it is pretty much all tanks gs,healer,staff currently ranged feels useless rn as well as magic and ranged Eva cuz all that'll happen is 10 gs stun gank by a whole guild.
Magic Eva is completely useless around 2500 yet still get hit regardless all because of one staff skill aside from all that players exploiting multiple class bugs just a all around sht show

85% of servers are dominated by 1 alliance made up of guilds 1-4. Yeah, changing alliance system would help, but making world bosses 1v1 means those guilds can't just zerg.

Ive done 800 hours in less than 4 weeks, the absolute nothingness of a reason to keep going is what killed the game, plus 1000 more reasons. But the gameplay is just mid. Clunky, mobile like, etc etc.. It would always be a 1 month game for most people
