I enjoyed them both, but I bought the Sarah Chang album after your video a couple of weeks ago. Those Hana cartridges are gorgeous and the bodies look like they have a lacquer finish, although I don't know if they do.
Wow. Both sounded great. Tough to compare because of different record labels but the first sounds smooth and warm(because that is typical of the Philips sound) and the second is originally an EMI recording and sounds a bit more crisp.
@@hifispongebob regarding your video, sounds like the Shibata re-tip gives a little less information in the upper frequencies compared to the MR/ML. That what you’re hearing in person? Also, what’s the mass of the wood headshell?
@@ChrisMag100 Nah, it's either the record or the setup (or both). In fact, it's the other way around; the retipped Red retrieves more information in the upper frequencies :)
@@ChrisMag100 The headshell weighs around 16g. The effective mass of the TK-850S is 13,4g with the standard headshell, which is 4,5g lighter than the wooden one. A quick estimation of the effective mass of this combo would be 18 g + 10 g (Umami). Anyway, according to a couple of test records (and my ears), the low-frequency resonance stays in the safe area, and I can't perceive any tracking issues 🙂
I like the tempo better on the Sarah Chang recording; it's more the standard interpretation. Actually, I think Roberto's recording has more punch and more clarity. I think his bow bites into the strings more to produce that effect.
Goddess of Fortune produced by Georg Harison is what i wane hear with this red system! Gowinda is the Song
Nice! I like this because you use the real high quality Equipment
Thanks!

your video presentation, so elegant!
Thank you so much!

Fenomenal😊😊😊. Good content😉 i like the first one.

Nice! I sent you a message on this topic via Patreon last week.
Yes! I got it! I have yet to reply to your message. I did read the review, thanks! 😉

The first one. Not even close.

Roberto all the way. It has to do with articulation. Technicality is not what matters here.
thanks for your work.
I noticed your Blue lost a portion of its "U" sticker just as mine. I'm not sure why they do that. Thanks for the comparison.
Yes!! I recorded an unboxing video (not published) and the "U" was complete!
red :)
Michelucci any day. Less nervous, more mature and authoritative.
As for audio quality, the Umami Red is totally wasted on that setup 😆
I know...🤣That's why I entitled the vídeo "heresy!!" 😋
Sarah Chang’s intonation is terrible. She goes so sharp that I started bleeding
