This was Chester's actual favorite song to sing
I thought it was Breaking The Habit
Favourite to perform live
this is my favorite linkin park song :(
@@JohannesWOW well said.
to sing live yes but of all time that was sharp edges
Linkin Park - Points of authority.
Chester talks about him being abused as a kid
The remix off of Reanimation is better than the original in my opinion
He should react to both but first the original
Yeah this is a MUST.
Naw man the original is powerful. The remix takes away from the serious nature
@Cognitive Chaos I hope there is a hell, so active measure conscienceless jerkwads, like you have a place to go.
does anyone else automatically hear the riff for One Step Closer every time Papercut finishes ?
um ...jus maybe possibly intentional ?!?

@@amilyne19 They are talking about people who religiously listened to the album...There is a sound pattern embedded in their heads to hear it right after. Has nothing to do with you showing the album or times.
thats right because after papercut they play one step closer, same as meteora they did session and then dont stay

His songs saved my life.
Listened to them, cried my eyeballs out, got through the night.
MamaKat is glad you're alive
It helped many of us even those of us in the hood , shit was incredible
Happy you’re still here!
Me too for many years!
@@mookiestewart3776 Doesn't matter if you are from the Hood or Burbs! That shit saved too many people to count! And we are all fam now in this because of Chester and them!
Just do yourself a favor and put on their first album “Hybrid Theory”. This is the first track. Just let it run. All 53 minutes. And you won’t have to change a single track.
Hybrid Theory is easily one of the best albums in a long time. Not a bad song on it, and if it was their first (I think it was?) then it was a hell of a first outing.
Ninja Tony it was their first. They followed it up with Meteora which was another good one. But Hybrid Theory was amazing
It sucks that Mike let his rap game slip over the years though, CAUSE HE SPAT BARS on "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora".
Cole Jordan it really was the perfect storm at the time. Him spitting how he was mixed with Chester’s vocals. Papercut, In the End, Points of Authority, Forgotten. Classics. For every song he had that he snapped on, there was an answer with Chester singing his heart out. 10 year old me was blown away by these guys the first time I heard them. 28 year old me still refuses to skip a song on this album. When I’m having a shitty day or I feel like I need to calm down, this is what I put on.
I was about to comment the same. Hybrid Theory gets shit on so much, but it was a pivotal record in my opinion. Shaq seems to have an open enough mind for it.
Best thing about Chester..he used to sing his heart out everytime
and he never disappointed us
Yes!!! Saw them live in 2015, he gave it his all! 🙏
Saddens me that we won’t hear anymore music from Chester. His voice was unreal!
Whoops. there is still a lot of unreleased music. "LOST" was just released last month
"The music is made of pure emotions" THANK YOU! People ask why we listen to extreme metal, it's because not only can we learn from it vocally and instrumentally, but we relate to that emotion that the song is set on
Extreme metal? Sir, this is alternative rock.
I wouldn’t call this extreme metal. It’s more like, just metal, or hard rock.
Nu-Metal
@@kaneinvalenzuela5279 its nu metal

Linkin Park- Given Up. One of the best songs Chester ever sung.

Have to disagree. Soul Song from his old band Gray Daze in my opinion.
Shaq! You have to react One Step Closer: Linkin Park!
Edward Rivera ahh shit that’s a classic
Yeeeesssss! Bring the tiger out 4 that 1!!😂
The first Linkin Park song I ever heard. ♥️
Ah yes this is the one
As well as the Reanimated version with Jonathan Davis of Korn.
“Waiting For The End” is another really good one.
Yup have a like
Linkin Park "One more light" Will give you goosebumps!!
Oh yea I heard that song for the first time the DAY I FOUND OUT CHESTER KILLED HIMSELF I CRIED MY FN EYES OUT MAN!!! HE'S BEEN SCREAMING FOR HELP N NO ONE LISTENED :'( :'( :'(
“Is he about to rap?” Yes, yes he is. He has his own thing called Fort Minor. Try listening to anything from his album
That song is fire
Love that song, but I loved Slip Out The Back more. Enough to make a shit cover of it. Kinda grows on you tho.

Just react to the whole damn album
Watch Jay-Z losing it when Chester screams his heart out.

You should definently check out "Linkin park Faint live in Rock am Ring 2007" to see how passionate Chester was about his shows. who agrees?
You need to hear Remember the name by Fort Minor, Mike Shinoda's other group
Hell yes!!!
Send this to the top
I agree
Fort minor didn't get near the attention it should have
Remember the name is imo easily one of the top 10 catchiest rap songs ever, doesn't matter if you're a fan of the genre or not you'll Bob your head and feel that song
If you like this react to Somewhere I Belong next
I listen to rap but yee that song is all 🔥🔥
Yeah, I was going to recommend this too.
The Live in Texas DVD version
Another track that is timeless
Plz do kid rock devil without a cause
This was the first LP song I ever heard. I was 11. (the music video scared the crap out of me). It changed my life and my perception of what music could be. Watching another person reacting to it makes me really happy, ngl. This song was also my first introduction to my own metal health issues. (mind you, I was 11 and I'm Danish, so I had to translate the whole thing myself. I just wanted to know what they were saying, lol). They've helped countless people by speaking up.
Rest in peace, Chester. I miss you.❤️
Wow that’s amazing
I started listening to LP when I was 12 years old bro. I'm 33 and still bangin'. These dudes changed my life. They have it all man, each album has a soul of it's own. Every song is meaningful and timeless. They got Rap, melodies, and straight out angst. My recommendation? Line in the Sand. From Hunting Party. You don't know how happy I am you are reacting to this band, you got my sub for LIFE COACH!

Linkin Park- "A Place for my Head"
This album was like ready to die, every track was a hit.
“Crawling” this would for sure give you goosebumps coach
Esteban Lucas even more intense is “One Step Closer” IMO. It’s less nuanced which makes it more raw “SHUTUP! SHUTUP! SHUTUP! SHUT UP WHEN I’M TALKING TO YOU!” just gets me every time!
That Eflat Guy yeah I feel you! That’s how I feel about “by my self” shit that whole entire album was raw. RIP Chester man

We lost a legend in his own right. Unfortunately, mental health isn’t taken as serious as it should be. With everyone saying they’re tired, depressed, stressed, it just becomes so commonplace that those with mental health issues get overlooked because other try to claim the same illness. Thanks for this reaction coach! I appreciate your breakdown and your honesty throughout. Chester’s voice will forever bring goosebumps and possibly tears.
After Chester killed himself I realized that every Linkin Park song was about his mental anguish.

You should make your reaction video one of those that posts help lines for depression and suicide at the end. You never know when someone could use a willing ear. Now THAT'S tuff!
Essentially his favorite song to preform from what I understand. Hard to know how much mike started developing this song before chester joined the band but Chester def connected with this one for life.
6:26 "I don't know if Chester writes all the songs, all the lyrics...." This is why Mike started singing.

Linkin Park , Crawling!!!!!! And the music video
I Grew up on and with Linkin Park. Their first album (Hybrid Theory) came out when I was a junior in high school. They were talking about mental health waaaaaayyyyyy before it became mainstream. I like to think Linkin Park was the first major driving force to push mental health into the mainstream.
