They definitely have some sweet moments throughout the show. The actors are phenomenal and display emotions so well. I didn't realize how much foreshadowing occurs in the earlier episodes.
On rewatches, this show is the gift that keeps on giving. So many interesting details! It's truly a stunning show.
You grabbed the essence in your film/series comparison right away, after ep.1! Amazing! And, yes, this Dexter is quite something =) *giggles happily*
Just like the bit where Emma was more eager to sleep with Dex in the movie, you’ll notice a lot of things being switched between them on the show. Those choices make their relationship worth rooting for from the get go. I became obsessed with them on the show in a way that I never was during the movie. And I realized it’s not just because the show had more time to develop their relationship but it was also those writing and acting choices that made all the difference. Just a few tweaks here and there but it worked so well. You’ll see. Can’t wait for your reactions!

The series follows the book more closely, and is so much better than the film which wasn’t a success. The acting is incredible, and one of the best series ever.

Its every year up to the last few. They see each other throughout the year its just one day in the year they show their relationship development. Certainly gets worse before its better but still please review it.

Like, you know the basic plot, so any reaction is not going to be natural. The main parts of the plot aren't going to be unexpected
why does it matter? Danielle has seen the old movie which wasn't that close to the book. Different writers, different directors, not to mention actors.
I don’t even think that was the issue being that she seemed to not remember most of it. My thing was that she seemed to not be listening & asked questions to many things that were already answered. Still enjoyed the review overall though.
