What if Jar Jar had a behelit?
Sacrificed the Republic.
Meesa submit.
now I really want to draw an apostel version of Jar Jar
God help the galaxy. All the ridicule he has suffered at the hands of droids, jedi, sith and haters of the prequel trilogy will all die in a blood orgy.
God hand jar jar
Imagine just finishing the black swordsman arc for the first time and being told that pucks only purpose is to make star wars jokes
The Lost Children chapter too
@@justbny9278 i would be destroyed
Puck died in the Lost Children arc. Idk who this guy is tbh.
Wtf happened to him, it's like miura doesnt know what else to do with puck, and just makes him a star wars joke reference
@@PatZalatoris yeah Miura introduced a lot of interesting characters after that so Puck doesn't get much time(when was the last Guts and Puck ever spoke 1 on 1)
The despair i felt after seeing the "to be continued" is enough to activate a behelit
I almost screamed into the void when I saw the moonlight boy and saw the chapter ended
You can certainly say that again. . . 😒
You called it my guy. But I hope the next chapter offers even more. A lot of the things this chapter weren’t as big as the last but for me it still was dope the little things it did. Especially with the ending
When is your review coming???

@@Dionaea_floridensis yeah, she is gonna be more good in Battle.

Dude don't hide it; what pissed you off the most about Isidro in this chapter was that he didn't "pumpkin-wrap" Morda.
Also I can't help bust think that Miura is being self-aware with having Puck's brother dress up as Jar-Jar. (Kelphie = "My kin.") 😆
Puck make break 4th wall
Nice Freudian-slip there: "...I can't help *bust* think...".
@@GBDupree That was just a typo actually. But sure if you want to see it like that.
While reading the lighter parts of this chapter, the back of my mind kept repeating over and over again, "Damn... knowing miura these people are really going to die horribly aren't they."
Yeah, same feeling I got, that kinda made me not enjoy so much the joy of the moment is probably happening though which is incredibly bad and sad and tragic.

I may be too optimistic but with this tension built and the moonlight boy so close to guts with this specific scenario I think we are going to see chapter release more frequently. Shits about to go down. Also with the whole 2 options for the rage guts feel thingy I think it’s safe to say he’s about to unlock some powers within himself and the armor
I feel it too

Could the beast of darkness start to grow even more uncontrollable inside guts if griffith is revealed as the kid?
@@srslydoatm9251 2 Month already over...

Thats a scary thought: MB turning into Griffith and then the apostles ganging up and killing everyone in the island. I hope it doesn't come down to that but hey at least this presents a seamless way of how Guts will realize the Moonlight Child and Griffith share the same body. But honestly I really don't think I'm ready to see some child murder; Lost Children did a number on me.
Aye, but it would interesting to see, since it's been a long while since something fucked up like that happened in thr story.
I mean berserk kinda lacks some dark shitz right now so
The Apostles won't just steamroll the islanders tho, Those are powerful magic users there
@@miguelpereira9859 you right. The seniors are nothing to cough at, and not to mention the Flower Storm King is there.
@@miguelpereira9859 Which will make it feel even worse if the inhabitants put up a good fight and we are led to believe they might stand a chance, right before getting slaughtered. Probably by Griffith's merry band of war demons.
Anyways, on a primal, visceral level I don't want to see that happen, but considering what kind of story we're following it'd be expected for elf island to go down in flames at one point.
I hope the moonlight boy turns into Griffith next chapter and Guts and Griffith can finally interact after more than a decade
Edit: it would be very fitting if the new chapter came out on April 27th marking the 20 years since Guts and Griffith have interacted
That would be really cool

not awful, seems very possible to me
same here but I was thinking that maybe the high priestess of the cherry blossoms could be either Danaan's sister or possibly since Danaan is technically a being from the other world could possibly be like a reincarnated version of her in Danaan
@@juancorujo4726 cool
I think she's like a spiritual projection of that woman, who is being kept half dead inside the egg, so if the egg was ever destroyed she would die.
I was thinking the same, and the way the panels between guts and his son and a panel of sk and danan were shown in wich Sk and Guts look tall and strong while Danan and the kid look small and soft in comparesson to them. I think Miura is telling us visually the relationships between these characters.
Wish we got to see more of the backstory of skullknight and void
I'm reading the chapter and i just wabt the ishidro sections to end. Why muira?

Maybe there is nothing in the armor. Maybe just maybe Skull Knight is his armor. Maybe death by Berserker Armor means you become a ghost copy of that armor.
@@zombiedemon1762 yeah I think the armor is empty, like in Fullmetal alchemist, and that's the taboo they were talking about. He died and was brought back, but lacking humanity and body.

@Connor Garrett It made me remember of Alphonse from full metal alchemist, you know
@Connor Garrett What is even funnier is that i always found flora's design to be kind of similar to dante (her old form obviously) from fma 2003. She also lived in a place far away from normal people and only accepted some students. Coincidence? I think not lol.
@@muzolbyte312 Miura is obviously a fan of _FullMetal Alchemist._
Makes sense, as bringing back someone from the dead is a violation of nature.
This chapter was like 80% nonsense and I'd admit got a chuckle out of me, but I'd be lying if my blood didn't lowkey run cold when the Moonlight Boy appeared. Every time that little shit shows up nothing good ever follows.
I love the moonlight boy, he's the only character that offers that attachment to Guts that Casca once did. Other than that Jill kind of played that role maybe at a push Shierke, but moonlight boy almost seems to know Guts for who he was before everyone else and still chooses to protect him and is kinda drawn to him, even more so than he's drawn to Casca. I wonder if he'll be the reason Casca recovers from her PTSD and finally accepts Guts again, considering that one panel where they drop the child and both catch him for a second, Casca even momentarily forgetting her contempt for Guts.
@@TotallyAmSam Moonlight boy is lowkey the most brilliant thing Miura has done so far storywise
This chapter is very important. This was a great time for the fanbase. Thank you for your coverage of this amazing story. It’s beyond sad to see it end here, the premature end of an incredible mans life. #thankyoumiura
“Let’s cross our fingers for more chapters this year”
Rest In Peace Kentaro Miura
I was afraid it would be a total meme chapter, but the final reveal is enough to feed me. I can accept it.
Slightly disappointed there wasn't more elaboration on the Gaiseric memory. I was predicting there'd be more. We did at least get confirmation of it being an eclipse though.
I see 2 possibilities with the moonlight boy / griffith cycle:
- The cycle is tied to "global world" moonlight, so moonlight boy is taken by surprise when he changes to Griffith prematurely
- The cycle is tied to "local world" moonlight, so Griffith seems absent for a long time, but doesn't transform premature to what moonlight boy expects
Both cases could have Sonia freaking out and arriving with demon army. But it is important to consider the duration of "moonlight mode" is two completely distinct and disjoint options. Because every previous full moon, Moonlight Boy has the proper intuition of when he needs to leave. So the question is will his intuition still be reliable, or will it be thrown off by the time warping?
Also a final note, since you didn't mention it: I hope (and wonder about) Casca getting to meet Moonlight Boy now. Moonlight Boy never met non-potato Casca in his entire life. Vice-versa too.
" has the proper intuition of when he needs to leave". Good observation. Also, last time Zood knew where Griffith was and was hidding in the cliffs near the beach. I don't think we are having a full invasion yet, but I would not be surprised if the likes of Zood, Locus and the gang show up.
We might have a situation were the island people will try to kill/capture the boy and thus, capture Griffith. Of course casuality is always working, but I don't think Griffith would conciously put himself in this situation.
RIP Miura thank you for making this world that we can all relate to. We'll all keep struggling until the very end.
I think I finally understood why the elves had a 66 on their helmets
Clones
You think??
Isidro killed the mood of the chapter for me, we could've had yet another great chapter if we saw the interactions between SK and Danann or Guts and the Moonlight Boy.
Have to keep you hooked for the next chapter.
I just skipped all Isidro parts.
@@vicentgalvan70 I still read it outta respect for miura but yeah I hated it lol
It’s to serve a purpose, I feel like Miura did that to show the witches and gut’s party bonding. He’s clearly setting up the witches of Skellig teaming up with gut’s party in some way in the future, and in order to do that we need to see them bonding, joking around and having fun. This could be the start of a new band of friends for Guts.
Eh! Not a fan either, but at least it showed schierke realizing shes made so many friends on the island, and now wants to figure out what to do now that their journey to elf island and the goal there is over, and is interested on what flora did all those years ago that got her exiled, which I think we can guess is that she revived skull knight into what he is today
Berserk 10/10
That intro joke 10/10
My two absolute favourite pieces of fiction 'in this world' are Star Wars and Berserk. The two of them coming together however is something I never thought I'd see. This chapter is making me question everything lol.
AAyee Ryan!! The theory towards the end I was trying to explain that to you a few weeks back. That’s how I see it as well a war on elfhelm.
About to read this right now. Totally forgot it was coming. I've been re-reading Berserk already as is.
EDIT: Just finished reading it and... I fear the end of Berserk is on the horizon my friends. I got chills on that last panel.

Berserk chapter 363: did somebody say amazing!
Specific choice of the word nap instead of sleep on the island stated by guts. He still has difficulty sleeping even though not currently tormented at night. There has to be a lull in the fire but I agree that the Isidro segment got a little long. Thank you very much for your analysis and general thoughtfulness. I think once you buy your big house, the community should pitch in to donate to you one of those huge Berserk statues as a thank you gift. I'll be the first to donate. The masked man is fire as well, he to can have a statue but his will be for when he interviews Miura and gives us the scoop. Thanks again, glad to be a part of this community you've built from the ground up, from a good place.
This chapter put a little smile on me.
And then the moon boi is show up. I'm just like 😐 something will be happend
The peaceful times about to end. We go back to dark and sadness.

I have a theory: Perhaps the hellscape that we bore witness to last chapter was the eclipse when Void was created. The reason why we don't see the moon is because they were in the dungeon that the sage was kept.
Guts's eclipse reaction : * desperate sobbing going on for an hour at best.*
Jar Jar appearance reaction: "ok, time to give all my Berserk collection a viking funeral... with me inside."
with meesa inside
A weird crossover to be sure
the appearance of jar jar binks in Berserk implies a few things. it implies that 1. Star Wars exists as a franchise in Berserk, 2. it is most likely a play or musical, 3. Puck and his brothers have seen it
or they have seen a future or our dimension, that what would explain chestnut pucks references
I miss black swordsman/lost children arc puck.
You know after his home is wiped out, i'm sure puck will be a lot different after that.

I wish we could have seen the conversation between Casca and Farnese instead of the part with Isidro
we’re getting a rickert chapter next, i’m calling it
When the Goat Mage asked Guts what he plans to do with his fury, it reminded me of Genkai and Yusuke. She asks a conflicted Yusuke, is he going to be the one who _protects_ (Casca) or *destroys.* (Griffith.)
The lord has blessed us keep it up miura
Whats gona suck is the next issue will have nothing to do with the whole skull knight history...but yeah 2 big questions what got Flora banned and why does the Stormflower king look like skulls lost love? Could she be his daughter and that his lost love was the former leader of the elves?

Same here. That's why it will likely happen.
I’m obsessed with your channel. I’ve been binging it for 5 days nonstop.
I heard that intro and literally said "respect." Out loud.
This makes me so sad.
Miura clearly had it all figured out but he ran out of time. We can only hope his pupils will continue the story. Pulling up and tying their robes was the funniest gag in a while.
R.I.P
One thing I also noticed in the last chapter was one of the skill knights memories resembled an incarnation ceremony like the kne we saw back in the conviction arc
Yeah, this whole place is sooooo getting set up to burn within a couple of chapters. All of the cues are there:
- we have Casca demonstrating she still knows how to fight, and badly in need of re-establishing herself as an active character
- we have all of the characters remarking upon how utopic the island seems to them, how it feels too good to be true
- we have a target for Griffith in the form of the Cherry Spirit Tree
- we have a gateway set up for Griffith in the form of World Spiral Tree Branches Miura spent three chapters establishing
- we have an army of Wicker Men set up to be utilised later on
- we have our battlefield explored through demonstrating the various natural parts of Elfhelm’s enviroment
- we have Skully present, who never shows up without major stuff going down soon after
- and lastly, we just have too many damn characters to deal with. I feel like, no matter what happens in the other half of the Fantasia Arc, Miura is planning to thin the herd he has accrued, one way or another, for both Gut’s party and Griffith’s toadies.
Most importantly, however, either Griffith himself or Sonia have to lead any army travelling through the World Spiral Tree - and I can’t see Griffith delegating a task so important to Sonia. So we might just get the first long-awaited reunion between Guts, Griffith and a sane Casca after years spent apart.
Man, I do love your channel (and the intro)!
Awesome vid as always. It never even occurred to me that the Moonlight Child could transform on Elfheim as I'm just used to him disappearing when things are about to get interesting, but I think you're right. Things have a tendency of going to crap in the Berserk world and while everything is peaceful now, I think it's been peaceful there for too long and these two chapters are likely to be the calm before the storm.
I just created my first vid talking about the two most recent chapters and had similar thoughts with Skull Knight. I'm looking forward to your next vid! :D
Somehow the art looks even better. It amazes me everytime.
The isidro sequence almost made me stop reading
You should stop reading if it bothers you, I mean you aren't paying for it you are reading it for free.
@¿¿¿ • 12 years ago But we don't pay a dime to read them unless you go directly to read them in the official site, but let's be honest almost everyone here read the book for free, it is everyone's right to say what they don't like even if free but sometimes is a bit too much to shit on something when you get it for free and the creator is busting their arses off, but then again, is completely valid to be critical.
@¿¿¿ • 12 years ago Don't be.
I straight up skipped the entire Isidro bit. Does Miura really think that his readers are interested in skirt flipping and Star Wars jokes after the last chapter? Really disappointing the amount of comedy in the new chapters
@¿¿¿ • 12 years ago I don't give a shit about a site that makes money by sharing for free the hardwork of a very talented artist.
Miura needs to get paid in order to people that don't pay Miura a dime can keep complaining in online forums where they read the chapters for fucking free.
I am of the opinion Griffith can't be on elf island. He is a spirit of the world of man. The key that let this being on the island is the fact moon child is...special. Different. I think if time to become Griffith got close the Moon child would leave. Abruptly if necessary. I think this is not a physical confrontation but an emotional one. Moon child is gonna reveal some things to Guts. Maybe have a serious heart to heart, particularly about his dual nature. Maybe help Guts find his way onto the path he needs to be on.
Something about this chapter brings a profound melancholy to my heart. It feels as if we're truly approaching the horizon, and we probably are. Still, Miura manages to leave us hanging with new plots...
If we are going to assume that the taboo that Flora did was putting Skull knight in his armor or thereabouts, I think it makes sense how Scheirke would then contrast Flora's decision. Scheirke knew Guts was her fate; remember when they first meet and Scheirke thinks, "Is this man really my destiny?" Her main purpose is keeping Guts' humanity intact, something that perhaps Flora failed to do. I think Flora probably trained her with her past mistakes in mind.
Fact is that Danann doesn't call SK King but knight instead, she must have an especial bond to him I guess.
puck being a star wars reference is the fucking funniest thing i have seen in a while
I only have one problem with the Isidro parts, that problem name is Hiatus.
Man your predictions got me so excited for what's to come ,I can't wait
I want a part of the fantasia arc to go over history of Berserk mythos. So like Skull Knight's days as King Gaestric, how he fell in love. Who Void was in his previous life and how he obtained the behelit, what kinda torture or heartbreak he went through to lead him to the eclipse. Maybe confirmation on the previous godhand and how they died. How skull knight became what we see today. Backstories on Slan, Ubik, and Conrad. Also backstories on Zodd and maybe other important apostles. And possibly a look at Griffith's childhood. But that isn't really necessary. Oh yah and I want to know how the God hand knows who will join their ranks every 216 years.
I totally forgot that a new chapter was coming out. I had to hurry and read. I really want to see how Casca is going to react to seeing the moonlight boy. Maybe she’ll be the one to know and say that is her and Guts’ child.
Also if the moonlight boy ends up changing into Griffith, I’m even more worried for Casca. Because we know how she reacts when looking at Guts, but how will she act if she sees Griffith?? I know she only remembers before rescuing him from the dungeon and tiny bits of the eclipse, but actually seeing him in person might undo all the work Farnese and Scheirke has done to restore her memory.
@@monicatmura Well said!
I know you don’t want to dwell on it too much but i don’t think it’s possible at all that SK’s lady was human. 5:43, it’s states that she was the Lady Priestess of the Cherry Blossoms and that Flora, a mage, served under her. No way was SK’s lady human going off those two facts. How she’s related to Danann, I don’t know, but she’s definitely a witch/elf of sorts.
I guess during the Eclipse a "tornado of souls" happened and caused a "megadeth"
Probably alone here but the isidoro comedy stuff made me laugh
Naw man I was laughing too.
Yeah, I couldn't help but laugh when the Kelpie was compared to Jar-Jar. It never occurred to me before because I never saw it as more than a toad-horse. But I guess that's what Jar-Jar is too. Also I was extremely grateful that the chapter didn't end in the middle of that scene, but instead got through it all, and STILL kept going. Miura is spoiling us.
Yeah man i enjoyed it too
Dont why people are complaining
It was probably a foreshadoing that something is gonna happen to the witches
Although Guts believe it is an eclipse, it doesn't mean he's right. He only saw it as much as we did, but we got to hold on to the panel, while he saw it as if he was there.
This was peak Isidro. Easily some of my favorite gags involving his character, right up there with the Tower of Conviction cave battle. My boy is at his best when he's being absolutely absurd right as the story is supposed to be serious and I can't help but laugh. I mean, come on. This was comedy gold. And that face he made. Ten minutes of straight laughing. It really feels like Miura is starting to loosen up about the unpopularity of the character, and weirdly enough, it's making Isidro more enjoyable. Solid observations about the Flora/Schierke/Guts and Skull Knight parallels, but the way the artwork was framing Casca and Farnese through the window as if they were inside a behelit, and Guts reflecting on its shape much as he did during Griffith's transformation into Femto, I took as a callback to Flora's conversation with Guts at the Spirt Tree, and a direct foreshadowing that it is Farnese, rather than Schierke, who most closely resembles the ideals of Flora's younger self. I've been getting nothing but bad flags from Schierke and her development for a while now, and for me, at this point in the story, that behilit Guts is carrying absolutely belongs to her and not Farnese or Serpico. Reforming Farnese into a hero while Schierke becomes the villain would be, for me, the ultimate twist and a perfect way to repeat the emotional devastation caused by Griffith's betrayal in the first Eclipse. I'd also like to point out that Gedfring closely resembles Minister Foss, and all this talk of Mausoleums feels like a direct allusion to the events leading up to the death of the queen and the initiation of the first eclipse. Causality is starting to echo and I think we're getting close to some really big, really shocking stuff. Can't wait.
Never heard this theory before. I honestly really like the concept but I don’t think we’ve seen enough of schierkes “evil” side just yet. What do you think would drive her to use the behelit?
Who would Schierke sacrifice though?
@@wb6930 her height
While the Isidoro section of the chapter bothered me (his antics are alright for a couple of panels, but here it dragged for too long), there was still a lot of great material and development of the plot/lore with the Skull Knight and Flora, ending with a blast with that short Guts section leading to the cliffhanger that really makes me want to know what will happen next.
Can't wait for the reunion of the Moonlight Boy and Casca (albeit sane this time around). It will be so emotionally intense until the moon goes down and things go straight into hell. You nailed it Ryan! But I also think that Griffith is going to use his Femto form in the event of the Skull Knight and Danann trying to kill him upon his emergence, which will just makes things much worse upon Sonia and the apostle army arriving. Either way, it's going to be epic.
I... Liked the isidro segment. He's a goofball, I enjoy that
It is okay,it was kinda funny
I don't mind it as much as some, but it's annoying to wait several months to just have a few panels actually matter to the story. If the release was more frequent people would not care.
I liked it, but it just reminds me that Isidro is basically another Puck: a character with promise early on and seemed to have a character to develop as he journeys with Guts, only for him to be sidelined into a gag character and nothing else. Like if this scene happened earlier in the story and then later on he gets some character growth then that'd be awesome. But now it feels like its too late for him to be anything more interesting.
Dooooggg Griffith vs Guts part 3😍.
Yeah i enjoyed that chapter as well. It did connect some story beats but also added new questions like floras taboo. Comedy with ishidro was fine, i did smirk a bit and i will always appreciate the "good, calm" moments from berserk because you KNOW for a fact that if something goes down it goes DOWN! We are about to witness some major things so hopefully this year will treat us with atleast 4-5 more chapters (please kentarou)
I deadass screamed Miura when I saw the last page. Don’t cliffhang me like that man🤣
What do you think the "taboo" event was that caused Flora to be exiled? An affair with the Skull Night was the first come to mind, but the more i think about it, the less i'm convinced. And plus SK even told Schiekre on the beach that his relationship to her master's was similar to how her and Guts' relationship is.
Some dark magic, resurrection, immortality spell for SK etc.
I didn't mind the Isidro bit, we need some levity here and there. Excited to see what happens next. Hopefully the 2020's are more like the 2000s in regards to chapter releases. I think the arc after Fantasia will be the last one.
I want to point something out about the theory of flora’s taboo magic, as far as i know i’m pretty sure she didn’t “trap” skull knight’s soul in the physical world because if u do the math flora died maybe she was at her 60’s(purely head cannon age) and skull knight has been around for maybe a thousand years, if i got something wrong please correct me. Also keep up the great content really enjoy watching your vids ryan!
What if the taboo Flora broke is that she made a sacrifice to save skull knight? Idk how it would work but if the egg of the perfect world can sacrifice himself to reincarnate Griffith then it could be possible that your sacrifice to the godhand does not need to be for yourself (turning into an apostle) and be for someone else. I’d like to think that the taboo she broke and the behelit that Guts is carrying are related. Could be totally crazy.
Lowkey, not even mad about Isidro. Isidro does Isidro things: it even shows how he's adapting and learning how to fight in magical situations (low-gravity). It's obviously a pain that we don't get total focus on the rest of some plot points, but it's not like all would have been revealed in a single chapter. This is going to take a number of chapters to unpack, and pacing it and giving other characters time to show growth.
The behelit Guts is caring with him is probably destined to be Rickerts. Mark my words.
i just hope miura’s schedule has gone up to maybe 4 or 5 times a year
"don't do that. don't give me hope."
Isidro's section annoyed me too. But I think it will be much better to one-shot readers. We have to remember that we painfully wait for every single chapter for months and months, so we're naturally "in a rush" to know the plot.
Mannnnnn that damn last page gave me chills no lie 😂
I agree with what you said about the Isidro section. I also think that Miura is just not as afraid of portraying lolis because he accepts that that kind of attraction is a real thing for a lot of people and he doesn't tend to shy away from taboos, I mean if that wasn't already obvious from other chapters/manga he does. And I wouldn't be surprised if he has a bit of that kind of attraction - honestly I would be surprised if he didn't. And I'm not shaming people for it. People can't decide for themselves what they are attracted to - what I will judge people on is how they act upon it.
One theory I've been thinking of since reading this chapter is what if SK killed 4 of the 5 Godhand members himself (and during that fight he loses himself and becomes the daddy SK we all know and love today)? The new Godhand could then be more of a result of them needing to replace the old ones and not a fated thing every 1000 years.
i LOVED the Isidro sequence i was dying laughing the whole life. Isidro was really in his element
She’ll show up with the army, blot out the moon, and the whatever moment we have with Guts and MLB will be ruined with Casca dashing to his side only to become Griffith/Femto...
Sounds about right. That exact scene will play out.
"MLB" broke my brain for a second...lmao
You didn’t mention the panel where Guts remembered Femto's embryo looking at the window in the elven house. Absolute metal shit.
I agree that there will probably be some kinda battle on the island, I don't agree that the whole place will burn to the ground. I think that this is not only the heart of the "good side" of the world in a way, but also that there are too many powerful people/beings to protect it from really being destroyed. If anything I think this will be a turning point for Guts and his team.
I really wanted to see what Schierkie was going to do at that last moment, Isidro was going to have the upper hand for the first time ever when confronting her
the Isidro stuff was passable but it was kinda padding when we could have had more skull knight interactions
As for me, it's kind of obvious that Dannann is the daughter of Skull Knight. We were told that the time in Elfheim goes slower than in the outer world, so that is why she could possibly be his daughter. Besides, she is a magician, so she could know how to age slower as Flora.
They say that when you dislike someone, it often is because you see some part of yourself in them. He, he, he.
Also, as I predicted, Skully and Flora were part of an RPG party.
2:40: Said beast could probably only overtake him due to having the Berserks armour.
Betcha Guys woulda had swung till he bled out if he had the BA in Griffiths Eclipse.
Good review as always my guy 👍🏼 now time to wait for 364... who knows when that’ll be :(
