very informational scott, i have a 10 bolt rear ,350 turbo tranny, thinking on some 355 gears for the pala
Thanks buddy
Great video can't wait to see the s10 done
I will be posting rear disk brake conversion next!
@@FlippinCustomized Sweet can't wait
@6:45 That shim, if you use GM gears usually goes back and has the same wear pattern. Sounds crazy right? but it does work out like that.
What kind of power with slicks is that 7.5 going to hold? I'm building an 85 Monte Carlo SS and I need a rear end upgrade, but I don't have the cash for a 9 inch Ford.
Same, upgraded to Richmond 28 spline. Built 5.3 going in so I guess I’ll find out 😂
@@FlippinCustomized how has it held up?
Great video. Looks like I won't have time to buy all the shit to do this, so I'm farming it out. Wish I had your setup tho!
Thanks buddy, can you borrow stuff to do it
Great job guys!
Thanks bud trying to get better with the videos
S10 platform great choice . What's the engine size ? 6.0 ?
5.3
I havea 1991 Chevrolet S10, extended cab, 2wd that I'm building in memory of my father. That has a 4.3 non vortec V6 with the 700R4 transmission now. But wanting to know exact part numbers that you used because I want to beef up my 7.5 10 bolt to handle more and Im also gonna use a 3.73 gear ratio but I want to use posi Trac. And will be using a Cal Trac ok the rear with leaf springs.
Part numbers for what exactly
@@FlippinCustomized The part numbers for the upgrade parts you used would be helpful
Will this handle some aggressive launches on a FBO LS1? 370-380whp, 3100 pounds, LS7 clutch.
I guess it depends on how well it hooks up but this build will have about 330 whp so we shall see
Now is this a kit you part for the upgrade or did you have to buy parts separately
All separate
See I was about to put a 5.3 L in my 2001 Chevy Blazer two wheel drive four-door then it came to my realization how much horsepower is that little stock differential going to take before for a grenades
I`m doing the differential on my pontiac firebird trans am 1999. How can I tell its 7.5"? Where can I find this nr 7.5" ?
I’m sure it is, numbers stamped on housing
How much power should this setup hold I’m using a camed 5.3l am I asking for trouble?
Same set up as I’m running in this, stay tuned 🤪 should be good for 400hp
@@FlippinCustomized so how long has it held up so far I was kinda wondering for my elky
if my 84 cutlass 7.5 rearend with open diff spins one wheel 2.25 times per driveshaft revolution, what ratio is that?
can an s10 rearend be a donor for 84 cutlass or is it totally different track width as well as mounting system?
uncertain on that one, have to research it
Part # on axles 28 spline?
This had the 28 spline axles, were you looking for something specific?
The video said it had 26 spline and you change it to 28 spline. I just wanted to know where you got the 28 spline. How much it cost and the part #
@@jessecarcamo1802 sorry about that
They were Richmond 9225108 axles they were about $125 each
@@FlippinCustomized thanks for the info that was really helpful
@@jessecarcamo1802 glad to hear it, thanks
