Hi Eloi, great tutorial as always. With the second technique, using noise rotation, is there a way to bake controllers ?? I been looking everywhere and nothing seems to work, even exporting as FBX with animation baked... thanks
Wow! I am doing a small shot right now with some trees in the bg and was thinking it would be nice if the trees had some motion but i didn't know how to do that. And then you drop this video.Thank you so much sir!
10 years ago i came up with the 3rd method but more detailed and accurate. That project alone steered me to who I am today, a technical director. I still dont fully know wtf am I doing half of the time. But at this point, I dont think anyone cares as long as I get the job done.
Hi mate, I have a question. With the technique where you detach and animate different parts, how can I scatters this tree as a single mesh as I've tried using multiscatter and forestpack and I cant get it to work because it has multiple objects.
@@andvfx Thank you. I think this technique is one of the less computer intensive out of all the options except for SpeedTree. I also notice that the Tyflow option is great but it seems to slow down the system once I start applying multiple stacked layers of edit polygon and twists.
You can do it. But the idea is that exterior tree areas will move more than interior areas not exposed to win. Selecting by Id you will select all leaves, interior and exterior.

Was hoping to see GrowFX. Great tutorial nonetheless!

amazing tutorial!!!!!!
super! do we need a Mesh Operator to get a render?
excelente!!
my leaves are not visible on small dots are there plc help me what to do, i select the leaves also
Is there a place we can get a tree like this from?
Does this method works with Trees from Maxtree? thanks
this very hard process is there any plugin avalble just give wind n tree will animate automaclly ? we cant this if i have 50 tree in scene
Normally if you have the tree coming from speedtree I will just do the animation there, that its automatic, and export it in alembic.
Why don't you select by the material IDs... much easier
Hi!!! How can I transpose this type of animation to Unreal?

You could convert to vrayproxy first and then scatter. Or you can use the new forestpack8 beta that allow to scatter taking linked objects

Hey, guys, do you know why leaves are not visible in the render, only in the viewport? (in tyflow)
You need to add a “mesh” operator in any event in tyflow if you want to render it directly
how to enable key frame
why cant you select by material ID ?

my tree is not animate
