Are you still in San Diego? Thank you. This is very informative and helpful in understanding these functional movements for a more resilient body and to make daily tasks easier to perform. I work Inflight now and we assist people with luggage although passengers should really be able to put up their carry on luggage themselves in the overhead bin. I helped someone put up her heavy bag and she let go that I had to carry all the weight before I could push it up resulting in shoulder pain in the left I suspect the rotator cuff. Do you have any suggestions in functional exercises for the shoulder? I do planks and use a band and weights for my triceps and biceps on a regular basis. Thank you.
Thank you for checking out my videos to help you out with your current condition. This video might be helpful for you: ua-cam.com/video/QHyiWmWWq7U/v-deo.html. I also have a program I made that is specific for shoulder pain, you can check that here: www.gotrom.com/frozen-shoulder. Let me know if that helps. I live permanently in Colombia, and travelling here and there.
I had hip labral tear surgery a year ago and I did my more harm than good to my hips. I had constant groin pain and the doctors said It was because I’m impingement or a labral tear. Well my hips never hurt it was just my groin. I got surgery on both my hips and reconstructing on my pelvic floor. Before the surgery I could do a full squat ass to grass with mild discomfort. No a year after surgery I can barely do a squat with my back banding or leaning forward. But I have no pain in my hips just pain in my knee and sometime lower back because of my lack of hip mobility. My left hip barely goes past 90 degrees. I basically have to force it. When I touch my toes my mid back bends. I have been behaving it for a year and nothing seems to work. Could this be my hip joint, my psoas muscle.
Good question! Hard to say exactly. I'd love to know more about it. Would you be open to apply for a one on one training? Kindly click on this link to schedule a call: www.gotrom.com/vip
I have a question about tissue work. I encountered a very sensitive area. (Left leg, upper outer hamstring or lower glute.). After I jack knob it for 20secs i can feel a warming of this area, that lasts a week plus. Should I continue or let it rest? Not sure if this is a compressed nerve I have hit or just a really sleepy muscle.
If the feeling lasts a week, I'd probably take it easier or use a more blunt tool like a softball. Could be the sciatic nerve (which is very robust...) BUT you don't usually want a feeling that lasts a whole week. Of course, trust your own body and experience. If it makes you move/feel better it's usually a good thing. But if pain or "weird" feelings last...better to adjust your technique or take it a bit easier. Hope that helps!
