Been trying to get a gauge for how big the scoop is that jonnytig supplies with his coolers as I've got a kit ready to go on. Thing is huge hey haha. Lookin forward to it because yours looks the goods. I've seen everyone running slim line variations etc that just make no sense if you've got a topmount. Figure you'd want to run the biggest size possible to get as much air in.
@@Nick-sd7um yes definitely! Make sure you cut the scoop in with the intercooler installed. Measure up that way.... Mine sits a little far forward, it should be like 10mm off the back in all honesty. But works a treat! I like top mount because I want air flow through radiator!
G'day to be honest, im not sure on brand, i purchased them from my local bearing, hydraulic supplies place. they were expensive, but plastic/stainless nitto air fittings. i run them on my camper trailer too, they pull back to couple, then twist to lock in place tight.
@@francisnamok4091 yes mate. I used a 2015 gu zd30 box as 5th gear had an upgrade. Transfer case are the same. Obviously used td42 bell housing And the tailshafts are different too, can change flanges on rd28 diffs to suit
Thanks for the walk around you gave me a lot to think about how to approach my own build.
@@stickyfingaz6163 thank you for the response!
Where did you get the rear bar and how much?
Also is there an update on that rear water tank setup? I am super interested in doing something similar!

Looks excellent mate. What’s the brand of those quick connection fittings you’re using for your water outlet?

Hey bro just a question? When u did the conversion did you have to change the gearbox and transfer case to a TD42 as well?
