This is the review I've been waiting for! Thank you. I love my Blendjet, but the lid on the Ninja is making me think twice. That's an excellent feature that requires no additional purchase to make it more user friendly.
I've been very curious to see a side-by-side comparison like this, so thanks for that! I currently have a Blendjet 2 and find that frozen fruit and/or ice will often bog it down. It doesn't seem to happen quite as often when I use the Blendjet's optional 32 oz blender jar, but it still happens more than I would like. It will be interesting to see how the Blast fares in that regard as more review videos are posted on UA-cam. I do like the sip lid on the Blast, but it would be really nice if Ninja would also offer a larger 32 oz container like Blendjet does. It's awesome for doing things like making pancake batter, two smoothie servings, etc.
I have the same issue with mine and I was hoping this would clear up a bit since I'm thinking of purchasing the Ninja. Their products are great regardless. Too bad its out of stock cuz they're so popular lol
Just use the 32oz and add liquid first and then the frozen fruit. I flip the blender on its size and upside down also.

Totally agree, Ninja wins. This is good for portion control but I’ll stick to my Oster blender. Looks like it would be good for traveling though. Thank you for this video.

I love my blendjet2 I make some much with it and it does crush ice. Blendjet just came out with a drinkable lid. Ninja is ok but I have had issues with some products but we all have our preference. Good video.
I have the Ninja model. I’m very happy with it. It blends ice and frozen fruit with no issues. It works so well I rarely use my plug in blender.
How does the charge hold?

I need one because I work nights and I like to have smoothies at work… I have the blendjet 2 but after that recall I’m over it. My plug in blender is a Ninja and hasn’t failed me yet!

Blendjet has a 5v motor and the Ninja has 7.4,in my opinion the ninja is better… not only is the the motor more powerful but it also looks better overall

The feel of the buttons on the Ninja Blast have a sturdier feel. I also like the fact that the usb port is on the back and not the front. The sip opening is a nice feature as well. Hopefully they go down in price

It’s definitely long in the tooth by todays terms of technology
I mean it’s a portable blender that you can’t even drink out of - unless you buy the additional lid which sets you back another aud$30

I like the blend jet2 for protein shakes, but the ninja blast rocks on smoothies. I bring em both on travel.

I’ll stick with my blendjet. It’s currently more versatile. They have different sized jars for blending. They have a 16oz and 32oz you can order from their site. At some point they’ll sell better lids for those who are sold on the ninja lid
Problem with their jars. They crack when misaligning the threads when tightening down.
@@cameranmanner4701I've owned the original Blendjet and the Blendjet 2 over the past 5 years or so and I have never heard anyone mention that before so it must be rare. Maybe trying to overtighten it while it was misaligned?

I just bought the blendjet 2 and would rather turn it upside down to drink out of it instead of drinking out of it with the base. That's if you don't have a cup to put it in. Any thoughts?
bro, I do the same with my blendjet 2, accidental button presses happen sometimes with the base on

I love my BlendJet2 and have been using it for over a year nearly everyday. My son used it and poured hot coffee in it causing it to start leaking. I replaced the bottom seal, but noticed the threads on the cylinder were broken in some places. Subtract at least one star for durability. Another thing I didn't like is the lid and the fact I can't put a straw in it to drink anything from it. I never used any of the JetPacks since none came with it. I generally use it for coffee (MCT oil, collagen...) and pour that mix into my coffee cup, so not being able to drink from the unit is no big deal. I agree, the Ninja seems to be about equal to the BlendJet. BlendJet has me hooked on the portable blender thing, so my next one may be something a little more durable. I like the 6-blade offset that BlendJet has. It really creates a nice vortex.
Just bought it. Buy the drinking lid they have, its arround 15$
It says right in the Blendjet 2 instructions NOT to put hot liquids in it. Not a durability issue, but a not reading the instructions issue.
@@dlmac5935 I guess you missed the part where someone borrowed it. I knew not to put anything in it that may cause pressure. The casual user won't have access to the instructions.

Yes the threads broke on mine after daily use for a month. The material must not be very durable. I took it back to Costco for a replacement and the same thing happened.
The blendjet just came out with a drinking lid, you do have to buy it separately.

Don't bother....Ordered mine over a month ago when they claimed they were in stock. After getting the runaround for 4 weeks they told me today there was no restock in sight and cancelled my order. At least you can actually buy a Blendjet....
