I only recently dug out my Tamiya The Hornet buggy, bought back in the 1980s. It still has the old mechanical speed controller and servos, which had since developed faults so bought this very esc to update my car. Haven’t installed it yet but watching your video now to gain an insight on how to install it and what it does ! 👍🏼

Great video bud! These things are very reliable and smooth! I ve had mine for almost 3 years and I never had any issues and I just love it! Very nice esc! If you are still running the stock esc on the kanyon I highly recomend you put it on it. You wont regret it.

Hi Leons, in your video @ 3:12 you mentioned this ESC at 3S it will take max 18T. But the specifications of this ESC states -
3S Lipo or 9 NiMH
540 or 550 Size Motor: ≥18T Or RPM< 20000 @7.2V (≥ = Greater or equal to? that to me sounds like it requires 18T or more or am getting this wrong?). I have 550 15T Motor and want to know if it is safe.
it should be I was running a 16T now has a 23T it's still fine🇬🇧😊😎👍
I'm confused. You plugged one connector into the receiver... Does that mean the one connector is both sending commands to the speed controller AND sending power from the speed controller to power the receiver? All through channel 2 ?

@Leons rc hobbys I also have this esc and have a brushless a Surpass 2445 - 3600kv brushless motor attached to it is this ok, it works.

Thanks for the video! I have the 1625 model and mine also beeps continuously as the motor turns. I find it annoying. Is there a way to turn it off ?

@@bariscaveman mine beeps for a few seconds thats the start up sounds and letting you know it's all bound to the controller if yours is still beeping continuously it sounds like it's not bound to the controller 👍👊

On ebay, this is advertised as a crawler motor, and they use high turn motors of like 30+. I have an old reedy 19t motor that I put in a mini e revo. So if I only run 2s lipo, I would wreck this esc if I used it?
It should be ok my friend and the maximum turn is a 12t on the ESC but before you take my word please check and Google it first👍🇬🇧😎😊👊

Yes, you can easily be fooled by fake ones being sold on Ebay as the real deal. Ask me how I know!! Mine burned up the very first time I tried it out. The default jumper position, for some reason, is NiMH. Watch for that and change it to lipo. Your clear plastic cover will kill air flow and cause more heat.

Hi, i want to use it in my wltoys 144001 1/14 scale buggy...If the black esc just as good as the red one??? also i have no idea how many poles the stock wltoys 550 motor is... i know it should handle 2s ,but i wanted to also run a 3s .... do you have any feed back on this? thanks for sharring.
if you want to go brushless i wouldd go for a hobbywing 120a esc it can handle 4s all day and for polls if its brushless motor👊🇬🇧🤟👍😎😊
@@Leonsrchobbys i do not want to go brushless since the stock motor is very good imo ..tons of torque... i think i found a brushed one on bg that should work well ...i has many reviews and seems to handle 3 well... i may just stick with my stock 1500 2s 20c batts... i got 30 mph with stock esc...i may get more speed with this esc since it seems to have a lot of punch according to the reviews...but even if its the same i can now use my good radio for better handling.. thanks
@@roadstar499 the only thing with the 1060 is ive had a few and ive had to buy a cap pack for them as there known for going to limp mode the cap pack sorted it out👊
@@Leonsrchobbys yeah i never researched moding esc's... i have soooo many for boats and planes... over 60 from 10 amp to 180 amp... also have maybe 12 burt out esc's from last 10 years in boats then planes... boats were the hardest...had batts and esc's catch fire...did a lot of swimming.lol
