A similar situation happened to my mother when she was supposed to own a home and the people there wouldn't move, and basically tore it apart. It wasn't worth the hassle or damage anymore, and on drive she took to clear her head, she found a much better home in a way better neighborhood and that became her home for many years until she passed. We're only renting, but certain amenities and the need for our pets keep us from having broader options. Anyway, all in good time, I suppose.😊
