I myself saw Shiva 55 times in the main theatre Devi and another 25 times in side theatres and everytime I saw the movie it was housefull and before that Geetanjali also same I saw that movie 38 times in main theatre Devi and another 17 times in side theatres. Nagarjuna has literally ruled the Nizam Boxoffice those days

Shiva/Udhayam is undoubtedly the best movie from RGV, it was the greatest cinematic experience for me when I first watched the movie in Madras with packed audience. Nagarjuna's heroism and Raghuvaran's villainism were perfectly designed and Ilaiyaraaja's bgm will stay in your heart. I liked the movie so much that I watched it 85 times and everytime it was housefull, it ran more than 200 days in Madras and was a sensational Blockbuster allover Tamil Nadu
