My fire cider recipe, makes two half gallon jars or one gallon jar:
1 lb horseradish root, sliced into thin rounds
1 lb ginger root, sliced into thin rounds
5-6 jalapeno peppers, chopped
3-4 white or Spanish onions, chopped
2-3 heads of garlic, peeled and slightly crushed
2-3 lemons, zested and sliced (include zest and slices)
1 Tbsp rosemary
1 Tbsp thyme
1 TBsp turmeric
1 tsp cayenne (tastes vary wildly!)
steep 4-6 weeks, shaking daily, then strain and bottle
