@@maxnewts American here (Texas) and I am going to agree with you. These little cars are amazing. Mine is right at 200k miles, was bought new from the dealer, and the only failure it has had in that time is the radiator fan died on it. Don't get me wrong, I love my big ass trucks and sports cars but the smart has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever had. Only time they suck to drive is when it's very windy out lol
I've never ridden a Smart, so I'm not sure about the comfort. It seems to me that this is an ideal transport vehicle for small business in the city. Thank you for the video!
Well it's a great choice for city daily commuting and that's why I owned three SMART cars in ten years.It basically was a trendy and elegant citycar but I soon realized it also worked great on short/middle range trips. Of course it's all about the functional requirenents you need and, secondly, about personal taste.

as a diesel driver the engine noises confuse me it sounds like a diesel on account of the missing cylinder but it revs so high because it's a gasoline engine

That so-called AMT(Automated Manual Transmission) is the worst transmission in the whole automotive industry. Many Renault cars that I know of has this type of transmission in
DCT is also an AMT.... could you tell that is a bad transmission? Have you never driven an AMT car? The AMT in this SMART (2009-2014) is a very good transmission with few problems, located only in the clutch actuator...

Not necesarly. In 2 weeks I will travel with my smart 1500 km. If The car is in good condition there is none problem....

@@adarbs6384 its the same. Also semi manual. Smart one is at least very rigid - only think that can be an issue expensive clutch every 100k km

yeah I've read about how terrible they are. They are essentially just normal manual transmissions that shift electronically by themselves
