The cinematic open from above to the musical chooses was masterful. Thought it would be a movie intro. Far above all other all of you tube videos. Outstanding! Russell Carter in Houston, Texas
Every farm vehicle that goes out in the field should have it's own tool bag/kit with a standard assortment of basic tools you might need. That kit should live on it's own tractor/whatever. After you start with that any time you find you don't have something you wish was in the kit, you should add it to every tool kit in the fleet. Two of my mottos are 1)"Tools don't cost you money, they make you money" AND " Any tool you own is useless when you don't have it when you need it. Cheers
One of my favourite videos. Even with all the little bailing issues it's hard to feel sorry for a guy that does such an awesome job. I hope you guys get whatever weather you need. Cheers!
Hi Jan! Beautiful new intro! I'm glad I wasn't behind you when the bailer dropped a bail off in the road! Yikes! Love your videos Jan! Stay safe and healthy sir!
Always great videos Jan. That bale picker upper brings back some painful memories of hand loading bales on a flatbed some 60 years ago! It was fun running machinery but I would imagine it is tough to fight boredom when driving over hundreds and hundreds of acres. Next you folks need self driving tractors then just sit in the air conditioned control room and count the money, lol
Except it is illegal. Aviation regulations do not allow drones to be flown out of line of sight. Since it’s above the clouds it is no longer in sight and broke a major aviation safety regulation. Major fines and/or jail time could be considered.
Jan, Thanks for you video making abilities, that opening shot in the clouds was awesome, thumbs up on that for sure 👍. Have a great day, Aloha from Big Island Hawaii🤙🏼
I laughed when you mentioned the 'Dutch Tool Set'. I used to sell farm equipment to the Dutch farmers in Eastern Ontario and they told me a line that they loved to use... "Wooden shoes, wooden head, wouldn't listen". Personally, I thought it was a bit prejudice, but the line came from the Dutch farmers themselves. =) - Dave
What a number Jan! You must feel like a milk shake or what, as this baler makes you and your NH tractor to be shaking every single piece of straw (and several number of punches for each bale). Well key instruction on to work safely when there is a breakdown! Even best to switch the tractor motor off as you say, or eventually take off the PTO at the side of the tractor. So that the tractor motor can continu to get cooled? Nice to see the combine with the pickup header👌👍
I really enjoy watching your videos Saskdutch Kid and the drone views awesome , i really have learned alot of what farming on a Dairy in Canada 🇨🇦 Big Thanks from Hereford Texas .
Great video and not a bad number of bales Jan. The small balers always give bother in one way or another. They are a pain but still needed. Great video keep them coming
Wow, that is some thick straw a lot of Bales,, Not much physical work left on the farm,,, that used to about kill us years ago,,, when we did it by hand???You do a wonderful job explaining this,,
There are 2 knives in the baler, one is attached to plunger, other is attached to side of bale chamber. Nice amount of bales done. Bale speed will depend on windrow density. Have a pleasant week.
Hey could you do a morning to night feed management sort of video? Like how much to feed a milk cow, heifer etc, and what to feed, when to feed. Would be really helpful for some budding farmers. Thanks, great channel
Gee Wiz. . .sure did seem like a lot of mishaps. I connected with your informing us about the small square bales. I'm pretty sure my uncle, back in the day, did nothing but square bales for his dairy farm. Your baler appeared like it might have been from that era. It's probably just plain worn out. Also, I enjoyed the cute Dutch notion about the wrenches. My family is from Western Michigan where there seems to be a fairly strong population of Dutch. The bale collecting machine was quite impressive. I really doubt my uncle had anything like that. . .just a lot of really hard work with sweat and tears. Thanks again Jan! I love each video.
Over the years I have heard many different names for a crescent wrench. Especially if it slipped and skinned your knuckles. The New names started to appear as the wrench was air born to the nearest bush. Thank you for the video update eh.
My great grandpa got his arm pulled into a bailer. fortunately the force of it pulling his body against the housing killed the tractor. He survived but his arm was messed up pretty good. Stay safe out there
Fifty years ago, when I was throwing bales from the fields/hayracks and into the haymow, I would have killed for suc a machine. But I don't think anybody had even invented them yet!
Ahh ya those 2 crescent wrenches are the real Dutch tool only need two of em or if your a real cheap Friesen you got one of your own and the other one is the one that the mechanic left behind like my dad here in Texas he milked about 700 cows with a socket set and a “borrowed” crescent wrench that all the tools we had for as long as I can remember tho I finally convinced him to buy an impact (I know crazy convincing a friesen to spend money)
Here a Dutchmen tool set is a Crescent Wrench and a pair pliers because they are too cheap to but 2 Crescent Wrenches. All of my big farmer neighbors are dutch.
Fascinating to see how these things work 😍 Such a beautiful piece of machinery. Everything has to work together like in a giant swiss watch. Nice drone shot in the beginning btw. Greetings from germany ✌🏻 (My tractor toolbox consists of a Knipex Pliers wrench 😅😅😅)
that plunger in our old bailler 1940 was called chinese because it did all the work. We as kids running the bailler used Bubble Gum for belt dressing. I so love your videos to much work you do. OFF you seat and on you feet the people who don't work don't eat. Thank DAD...Granny89
Years ago I heard a comment about the Dutch windmills in Holland. It wa asked why they dont use a modern system. The man was heard to say, " The wind is free, and we are Dutch"
Ever thought about getting a Bale baron and hook it up behind your square baler ? It would make your square baling , picking up and moving a lot easier ? Maybe you could get one out for a demo ?

The open video shot, I thought it was a second commercial I had to watch.

Same goes for personal vehicles, additional of battery pack to jump start. You just never know.
Loved the video. Sorry that the bailer gave you so much trouble. You are really good at getting it back into operation. Thanks for sharing.

Well done, 3400 bales is nothing to be frustrated about Jan! Blessings
Ok, that was an AWESOME opening drone shot above the clouds! Very Cool!
That would be a killer addition to the intro!!
Except it is illegal. Aviation regulations do not allow drones to be flown out of line of sight. Since it’s above the clouds it is no longer in sight and broke a major aviation safety regulation. Major fines and/or jail time could be considered.
Love your drone shots! Have you ever thought about doing a Q& A for a video? It would be fun to see what your fans want to learn about SackDutch Kid😊
Super opening shot Jan! That was a lot of square bales! Enjoyed the video as always!
All those knots and the little bales made me chuckle.
Jan, Thanks for you video making abilities, that opening shot in the clouds was awesome, thumbs up on that for sure 👍. Have a great day, Aloha from Big Island Hawaii🤙🏼
You should sell those 4 inch bales on eBay, some people will buy anything! Extra income can't hurt... Great video! Thanks for sharing❗❗❗ 🙂🙂🙂 👍👍👍

Awesome intro. LOL, I remember growing up on the farm, those square balers were always giving you trouble.
👋🏽👋🏽Waving back to the little guy in the combine!!

Thank you Mr Jan from Down Under for showing us more farming equipment in operation❗👍🙂🙂🙂

Small bails brings back memories ...... Good video !!!
Yeah Kid Dutch is back 👍 that’s so cool how that bales the hay and drops to the side ready for pick up.
Great video and not a bad number of bales Jan. The small balers always give bother in one way or another. They are a pain but still needed. Great video keep them coming
Wow, that is some thick straw a lot of Bales,, Not much physical work left on the farm,,, that used to about kill us years ago,,, when we did it by hand???You do a wonderful job explaining this,,
Adjustable wrench, Vice grips, channel locks and a large hitch pin to use as a hammer. That was our farmer tool box.
No wonder you made so many bales since the were 4" long. I've never seen that happen...kind of funny. Great video as always!
I like how the video begins, beautiful panoramic, have a great day 🇲🇽👍
Clutch is your friend.🚜👍
Beautiful scenery, gorgeous day in Saskdutch country. That little wrench fixes the giant machine.
Saskatchewan
Thanks for answering my question as to why canola is rolled behind a swather!
Really great opening to this. Always a good watch and to find out what you're up to.

I’m impressed with your machinery and how well kept it is. Great video as usual!
Gee Wiz. . .sure did seem like a lot of mishaps. I connected with your informing us about the small square bales. Its always something. You handle it like a pro. Great video.👏🇺🇸
A adjustable wrench is a great choice, along with vicegrips
Crescent wrenches, a tool that you seem like you dont need but it comes in handy so many times for me, and I dont even do agriculture.
You forgot to pull the needle ;) after putting the shear bolt.
It's easy to forget, sometime I brake 2 shear bolt before realizing ahah
Over the years I have heard many different names for a crescent wrench. Especially if it slipped and skinned your knuckles. The New names started to appear as the wrench was air born to the nearest bush. Thank you for the video update eh.
Farming can be stimulating and exciting as you have shown
Of course you need two Cresent Wrenches. One for standard and one for metric. Lol
hahaha
I was thinking the same thing
Well he could be left handed so he needs a left handed one, right?
They do make a two headed one, metric and standard. I have one but the markings rubbed off, i am confused.
Those are bunny rabbit bales Dutch! Thank you for sharing. Stay safe and healthy :-)
Yes, there is sun above the fog!
And the Dutch are cheap? Thanks for the heads up.
Great drone opening, thought you were on an airplane for a second. Cute little bales for cute little calves?
The dutch diy fix set in the tractor, a hammer tyerips (or how ever you spell it), skrewdriver and a adjusteble wrench 😁😁
Watching from Pakistan ... thanks for uploading Jan 👍👍
Those hair pins are Needles good video 👍🇺🇸🇨🇦
You must be one of the most patient persons I know.
Thanks for another cool video of bailing hay hey the crescent wrench is a must have is any tool box 2 is always best
Those little bales would make great Halloween decor. City folks would pay for those “authentic “ farm items. Maybe a new revenue stream.
Lol 😂 the super small bails are just my size!
11:58. He now we all now your "oh ****!" look👌
Your drone shots are the best I’ve seen
Nice intro.Watching here from Philippines.
Same here from Kazakhstan!
Great opening drone video
My great grandpa got his arm pulled into a bailer. fortunately the force of it pulling his body against the housing killed the tractor. He survived but his arm was messed up pretty good. Stay safe out there
Mishap the Man hop he is ok
Take those little bales to the farmers market, pet owners would snap them up!
I DON'T miss bailing hay!
Great drone shot intro, mate.
Yeilds appear to be down both sides of the pond ,but I think yours are doing better than most. Climate change is playing havoc.
I saw your expression change when you lost that bail on the road....lol
Always thought those small square stacking wagons were an engineering marvel. Lots going on in that piece of equipment
Fifty years ago, when I was throwing bales from the fields/hayracks and into the haymow, I would have killed for suc a machine. But I don't think anybody had even invented them yet!
The Dutch tool kit is only complete if one of the Cresent wrenches is metric!
The “hairpins” on the baler are the needles😊
The two crescent wrenches are just part of being a farmer we couldn't get anything done without some in the tool boxs
any footage of unloading? too many memories of unloading small squares...hay or straw.
Once again great video. There always so good.
Boy do I ever remember doing this mine was a John deer though it was some hard work in my day anyway
Good intro Jan. With drone shots
The twine arm are partly in the bale chamber, now the plunger is hitting on the twine arm protection lever.
Great intro like it!!
I love your drone shots do more!
Here a Dutchmen tool set is a Crescent Wrench and a pair pliers because they are too cheap to but 2 Crescent Wrenches. All of my big farmer neighbors are dutch.
We call the wrench an adjustable wrench in Delaware. Cool knowing it’s called different things in different places.
That is the name of the wrench crescent is just the brand name and got adopted as the name just like vice grip its actual name is locking pliers
Marsha Krebs thanks for the info!
great video, super interesting , you did a super job of describing what was going on
Get a wind sock for your Camera, so it doesn't sound so bad when your outside
Good on ya love your vids from here in Australia 🤙🤙
11:57 his face when he realises the bale 😂
Yea I thought that- omg instance!!
Missed opportunity for a "Saskatchewind" pun. Grown-up here, wind and bad puns come with the territory.
I'm a quarter Dutch on mothers side. Two Cresent Wrenches makes sense!
Yes those stop locks are there to save your needles
Cool intro shot ❤️
Fascinating to see how these things work 😍 Such a beautiful piece of machinery. Everything has to work together like in a giant swiss watch.
Nice drone shot in the beginning btw.
Greetings from germany ✌🏻
(My tractor toolbox consists of a Knipex Pliers wrench 😅😅😅)
Always another great video..Your attitude is amazing even when things go bad. Your videos are very detailed and just really enjoyable to watch
We had crescents, and one end wrench for the shear pin in all our balers , count your plunger strokes 33 was our magic number
watching from Nepal. good luck!
The crescent wrench. Also know as the Chinese socket set
This is the first Farm I have ever seen that doesn't have any dogs or cats
that plunger in our old bailler 1940 was called chinese because it did all the work. We as kids running the bailler used Bubble Gum for belt dressing. I so love your videos to much work you do. OFF you seat and on you feet the people who don't work don't eat. Thank DAD...Granny89

The tiny ones can be autumn decorations.
My husband is Swiss, he defines cheap!!
We keep a 16 inch crescent wrench in our tractors that we use as a pry bar and a hammer more than a crescent wrench.
Years ago I heard a comment about the Dutch windmills in Holland. It wa asked why they dont use a modern system. The man was heard to say, " The wind is free, and we are Dutch"
Great new intro
Ever thought about getting a Bale baron and hook it up behind your square baler ? It would make your square baling , picking up and moving a lot easier ? Maybe you could get one out for a demo ?
A new term = a crescent wrench. Known as a shifting spanner in Australia.
A trick me and my dad do if the square bales gets plugged. We turn off the pto then we just back the tractor up.(dump the clutch)
Whole new market niche, mini square bales. Sell them to rabbit owners.
