Enjoy. Yesterday Sri Lanka welcomed its one millionth tourist at airport . A couple from Dublin Ireland from Sri Lankan flight from London. Maybe Lucie in unique position to promote Sri Lanka to help bring 2 million tourists to Sri Lanka before the year end
France get over 90 million tourists a year. Spain Over 80 Million . Malaysia over 30 million , Thailand over 40 Million. Almost every country in Asia gets more tourists than Sri Lanka , despite fancy hotels and fancy advertisements . Even Bali, with very basic hotels and poor infrastructure gets more tourists than SL. The question is Why ?

@@lakshmandalpadado9066 there were a few who were cruel to us in 1983 and destroyed all we owned and loved - we lost family members. Subsequently we left our birthplace in 1983. But we miss home even though our children and grand children have never been there and knowing what we went through will never visit Sri Lanka. Hope you understand our situation. We feel safe, happy and protected by our adopted country USA.
I am so sorry that innocent Sri Lankans like you had to pay the price for the sins of politicians. I can see that you love for Sri Lanka is deep and we are all family. Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim, Burgher. Welcome back anytime. This is your birth country. No one can take that away.🙏🏼

I think this young lady has the ability to learn anything quickly. She may have come from a farming family. Otherwise, European women of her nature, educated at university, can not learn everything in Sri Lankan life today: God has given her many skills. She is so integrated with the Sri Lankan lifestyle. so exemplary.

I was telling my friend that I want to visit some of these places after my next trip to Indonesia and stay on that side of the world to visit Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Thailand. I will only have about 3 months so I have to visit a few countries instead of fast tracking. Since I had been to Thailand and Vietnam a few different times I will prioritize visiting Sri Lanka and Nepal. I’m thinking to research how long I can stay on visa on arrival or whether I will need to take care of the visa online in advance like you do when visiting Vietnam. My friend from Hawaii is only visiting Bali because she loves it there so much. I love it there as well but each time I visit it changes so very much and I feel the need to explore new places I had not been to before. I can’t wait until this fall. I’m hoping the crazy strong winds will have died down by then and there won’t be dramatic unstable atmosphere. Hoping for the best.

Looks like a lovely trip. Beautiful beaches you said it's Giritala looks like a peaceful area I love all the food you were eating typical Srilankan dishes. The two guys in the truck were saying the elephant was cunning to come through the forest I think the elephant got scared seeing humans. Yes most people who come from western countries has only two weeks to spend when they come over to Srilanka. You are an alrounder you are capable of doing every tasks. I don't understand why the chickens and the baby chicks were locked up in a dark cage. Animals are not well treated in Srilanka except for you. Enjoy your trip ❤
