Awesome! What is the trick to drifting for Calamari? Do you cast into the drift and work it Or do you cash behind the boat? I've never figured out how far to cast my sleeper jig.
We normally cast backwards ( towards the front of the boat) against the tided so it give the Jig a chance to drop down. 99% of time we drift, very rare we get them on anchor. Saying that we did a KGW session and I always have my squid jig out, so , we manage half a dozen as well. If the drift is over 2km/h you will find out that your jig is on top of the water and that is no good
