Nickel Electro Plating some Copper parts

  • so this is a video showing my 1st adventure into electro plating. it's some pretty rough footage plus I was doing it at work for a truck I'm working on.
    now that I have a better grasp on things I will probably record another video and maybe dive more deeply into some of the other more scientific things that are going on and explain a little more about amperage and voltages.
    I think this turned out excellent and I hope you enjoy the video.
    even though my setup is very rough this shows what you can do and it was a great beginners experience.

    Everyone has to start somewhere, and I appreciate when people are willing to share their experiences with the rest of the world. UA-cam needs more content like this, keep it coming

    ive done two pistols like this... itll be fine... that was 4 years ago and they still look good

    try copper plating first direct to the base metal not so good

      The base metal was copper

      Oh wait are you saying I should have tried harder to get rid of the original plating?
      What would work to do that in the future. An acid? Mutric acid maybe?

      Definitely not as you can tell by my environmently controlled lab...lol
