Note: when reconnecting the black cable at 4:34, I couldn't figure out how to "attach" it on the left/top side. the "connectors" on mine are not the round pin-style like they are on the other end of the black cable and both ends of the white cable. I did the best I could to have it flat, right in the middle of where you show it connected, but I don't see how it actually makes a real connection nor how it would stay there. With that said I've been using the phone for a day now and everything seems to work as it did before. Let me know if you have an explanation for why that end of the black cable is different and what connecting it should look/feel like, etc..
If the connector at the top of the cable doesn't fall off, then it is already connected well.
Looks like the antenna socket broke from the pcb. My guess one of the sims will not work

Is the OEM screen an amoled panel?
Does the fingerprint sensor work with the screen turned off like the original one?

If the touchscreen and fingerprint doesnt work after putting ot back together, what did I do wrong then or which part should I double check? 😅
I'd like to know how to change the power button volume rocker buttons please. When I recently changed the back cover and battery I couldnt figure out how to remove the power button as mine seems to not register clicks now sometimes or the power button will mimick being pressed so will end up wanting to shut down or hang up calls etc I've tried contact cleaner spray but that hasnt helped.
The part where we have to stick back the battery, can we use normal double side tape?

Hello, my mi9 was working fine but had the screen broken. Replaced the screen and now doesn't turn on, neither with the broken screen.. probably fk up somewhere.. when connecting the battery the mi9 starts doing a continuos sound (very tiny) like some electronics do and the connector get a bit hot.
This is my second time replacing a broken display on this phone.

If you drop you Mi 9 or any phone with an AMOLED or OLED display, and it cracks underneath the screen, the screen should flicker and/or be completely black. You will need to replace the screen. AMOLED displays don't crack like other LED screens do

It's just a little cellophane protector. Gently lift up the non-adhesive end and pull it off.
