In late 2018, it was announced that Joel McHale would be playing the character of Sylvester Pemberton, aka Starman, in DC Universe's upcoming Stargirl TV series. The thing is, Sylvester was never Starman in the comics - but at least nine other heroes HAVE used the name since 1941.
